Where to start?! The packaging is pure luxury, gold and black, you can't go wrong. The square shape of the lipstick truly helps in contouring the lips for an optimal result (in the photo posted, I hadnt used this technique yet, as I wanted to test the color ASAP!). The consistency is perfect, matt finish but the lips stay hydrated. No stickiness whatsoever. It's not "kiss proof" but I tested the durability by eating an oily lunch and it stayed in place well. I only had to quickly retouch the internal part of my lips. For non greasy meals I can see it staying perfectly on. It doesn't migrate and the color is a true, perfect, red. I love this lipstick. I own multiple colors in all their formulas and need to stop myself from buying the entire collection. The square shape takes a while to get used to, but once you do it's SO easy to use. The formula glides on, has great longevity, doesn't move around your face, and is just so easy to wear. Ultimately - this lipstick is easy to put on, easy to wear, has great color payoff and coverage, and is worth every penny. You an throw a tube in your bag and reapply without a mirror, or let it fade to a stain over several hours.

I bought the contrary fuchsia and when I tell you this matte lipstick looks amazing. This color looks good on every skin type. I am tan skin it looks good on my skin, my sister is fair it looks good on her, my friend who’s darker than me looks great in it. This color looks good on everybody. It’s a matte that’s comfortable on your lips you don’t even realize that you’re wearing it and it doesn’t dry out your lips. It is phenomenal. I highly recommend this line choose a color that you like and enjoy it. This is luxury.

The first thing I noticed about the Slim Glow Matte was how easy it swiped on; it didn’t feel as heavy, cakey or dry as matte lipsticks often do. I have a love affair with matte lipsticks, and this product has quickly become one of my favorites. Even though the lipstick is technically matte, it has a super creamy, hydrating feel and gives a soft, velvet-like glow when applied. While the formula is amazing, the color is what really hooked me. Rouge Pur Couture is truly the perfect. It looks like a played-up version of my natural lip color and the red wine. To say I’m obsessed with this would be an understatement. Instead, it went on as easily as a balm or gloss without any finessing required. Recommend it

Comfortable Formula and Helpful Product Design

I was pleasantly surprised with this lipstick. Most mattes I wear are drying and make my lips feel uncomfortably dry, but this one was a bit more comfortable to wear. I got this in Psychedelic Chili and expected some staining after wearing the product but it really didn't stain too much (disclaimer: I do put on a primer under matte products so that may have helped prevent staining). This lipstick is glowy in a satin way not a glittery or shimmery way- even after building it up to see how dark the shade could go and the glow is very even. The shape of the bullet is a bit awkward at first but isn't hard to get used to and is pretty useful for the cupid's bow. The formula is smooth and very lightweight even after a few layers. It reapplies evenly and uniformly as well with no product buildup or texture. My lips tend to be very dry and this formula felt extremely comfortable throughout the day and never got flakey. The colour name and description are a bit misleading. It's a coral that isn't scary bright, but rather a lovely wearable pop of colour. It's super pigmented so one layer is plenty. The comfortable matte formula isn't drying and lasts all day, unless you have oily noodles for lunch. The stain it leaves behind is still decent if you forget it at home and can't reapply. The sharp edges on the bullet are awesome for precise application, but it takes a second to get used to.I would never pay $50 for lipstick so getting it half off was not an opportunity I wasn't going to pass on. This is the boujeest lipstick I own and I love it so much, I might consider paying full price!

The design of the tube/package makes it hard to ap

I loved the shade 205 however it was sorta drying which made me feel as if it may have been old, but that is not why I returned it- I returned it for the same reason I purchased it lOl! The unique gorgeous packaging, might be unique but not efficient at applying the lipstick flawlessly. Because it's square/rectangular it is messy and would go outside the lines of my lips like I could not find a way to apply it and stay in between the lines. I mean yes you could use a brush. I actually would have but due to it being a bit dry I didn't think that would be easy. I wanted to love this I did. Especially being my first YSL makeup product. I do recommend this but for people with bigger/fuller lips or if you don't care about using a lip brush then go for it.
