Best affordable acrylic yarn

Love using stylecraft special DK. So many colours to choose from. Use on many different projects from blankets to hats. Always crochets up nicely. Can't go wrong. Recommend every time.

Delivery time was excellent, I have used this yarn many times, what have stylecraft done to it, it is coarser to crochet with and is duller, not that it was ever shiny, but it feels totally different, very disappointed, is there another DK you can suggest in the Khaki colour I use a lot ?

Haven't yet knitted with the current order of Stylecraft Special, but I have knitted no end of items with the yarn over the years and it is my go yarn for everyday purposes, I have no reason to expect this not to perform as well. This order will hopefully end up as a throw. Excellent service as usual from SMD. Thank you

I am crocheting a blanket using a kit that includes pattern and yarn. I realised I would need to "top up" one or two colours probably due to my looser tension, so ordered the additional yarns from you. I received my order a day or two later. Thank you for such a quick response. I have always found the service you provide exemplary and the range of yarns and products superb; when ordering by phone the staff are always friendly and helpful.

I brought this for my first crochet project. I loved the choice of colours and the shades of each colour. The wool is perfect for what I need and helps keep the price of the project lower. It has only cost £26 to make a blanket.

I tried 3 times to write a review but got cut off each time. I haven't started using my order yet but will be in touch when I do.I am making 1st and 2nd sized jumpers for babies of teenaged mums. These girls come to our local facility for help from Action for Children. they have nothing for their babies and are so grateful. Do you have any double knitting wool that is damaged or unable to be sold . there must be odd balls of any double wool be it acrylic or wool . Terrible smell. Will smells dirty

Terrible smell. Will smells dirty and damp as though been wet for a long time. Unusable. Very unhappy. Did complain and received response saying I could return it but no postage offered and will cost quite a lot to return. Would not use this company again. Very disappointed.

This yarn is lovely to work with. I am making a Dr Who scarf for my student nephew and wanted something that was easy to wash and looked good. It looks wonderful even if I say so myself!! I have not washed it yet which is why I have only given it 4 stars, but I am very happy with how it is progressing. Great value and good range of colours.
