I really enjoy this line of color for fashion colors/vivids. They have a great selection of colors including pastels and neons and they have the options of either a semi permanent or demi permanent for I think every shade (or close to it) we don't use this line at work but for my own hair at home , Matrix SoColor and Arctic Fox are my 2 favorites when I want to spice my ombre up with some cool fashion colors. Actually on the deciding process of what to do next. One note with the demi permanents, there are a few colors I have used that when mixed with the developer turned into some wild shade that looked nothing like what the box/swatch would make u think it was but don't be scared because it looks like a wildly different color (example- the "teal" color turned into ... So don't panic, it must just be some weird little reaction it has haha The photo/video I've included are of myself when I had decided to kick up my ombre with some bright green. I used the shades Emerald Green, their Neon Green and Duck Yellow I think it's called ?! And blended them downward from darkest to lightest (on prelightened hair of course) I LOVED the results . The vibrant greens looked amazing in contrast with my black hair and I received so many compliments on this color. Thinking of doing it again soon ❤️

I find this easy to use since I started dyeing my hair at home due to Covid two years ago now. Sigh. I use a few different colors between 8-10 (subtle highlight) with 8 for root regrow. I am probably 65% grey now with medium blond natural color at about 8.2 neutral. I use this with their matching so color developer and purchase online through Brighton Beauty.

This is an overall good hair color line. It has the 500 series that is specifically for grey coverage which works well. The warms, reds, golds, and neutrals are nice but my favorite in this line are the mochas. The only thing I don't like is that if you have a very warm undertone in your hair (red or orange) and you want a ashy look or no warmth in the hair it's a little difficult to achieve with this line. You would have to use ash because even the neutrals can come out brassy.
I LOVE this hair color. I have been dying my hair (at home) red for about a year now and I just recently found out about this product. I am so happy I did! I purchased the colors 6rv, 5vr, and SORED RV. I used the 6rv with 20 volume developer on my roots and about 3 inches down. Then I mixed the 5vr with the SORED and 30 volume developer on the midlengths and ends. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and rinsed out. I am extremely happy with the results. I read that the SORED can be used as a color booster to intensify the colors. It can also be used by itself to highlight. I found that it is best used alone. Then again, I didn't mix a ton of it with my initial formula (I used 1 oz of the 5vr and 1/4 oz SORED). I wanted there to be a bit more contrast on my ends so I ... MoreI LOVE this hair color. I wanted there to be a bit more contrast on my ends so I mixed it by itself with 30 volume developer and the color on my ends looks fantastic. It is a very deep violet red and it looks beautiful with the other colors.I am a natural level 4 or 5 with some gray hairs and this stuff worked wonders for me. So far, it has lasted and still looks fresh and beautiful! I will update my review if it fades quickly but I don't see that happening. My hair has a very healthy radiance to it and I am so in love with the colors. The only "not so good" thing about this product is the availability of it. I purchased on Ebay because it is difficult to find elsewhere and I don't have a cosmetology license. But I can't really take a star off for that because I am not a licensed hairdresser a it was made for professional use.Overall a very good product for red color. I know they have various color lines and I am hoping to try more of them! I recommend this product if you typically dye your hair at home and have a basic understanding of the process. :)
I actually use 504N in Matrix Socolor. This is my go to root color. It’s a beautiful match with great grey coverage. It leaves my hair looking healthy and shiny. The other fabulous thing about this line is that it is not hard to lift when getting highlights. I do not have to have the lightener on for longer even though it is a permanent color. You simply can’t go wrong with this brand!
socolor by matrix is what we always use in our salon. its a very versatile color line; i tend to like to mix a lot of the shades to get custom formulas and the result is always beautiful! excellent gray coverage and always beautiful, natural looking results.
Love matrix color, they have a good variety of shade range. Their color line is slightly warmer than other brands. Their SoColor line has 3 collections: Dream age gives a blended look it's more for clients who don't want to get their hair done every 4-6 and it gives a natural highlight look. 50 series/ Extra Coverage has double pigmentation for darker tones. And the regular Socolor collection for 25% or less grey coverage or regular color.
I admit, I was hesitant to order hair color online as I have been swindled in the past, but because of the good reviews, I went ahead ordered the Matrix Socolor 7A and 8A hair colors. I received the products in good time (4 days!) and in excellent condition. Sleekshop informed me when I had placed my order, when the order was shipped, an approximate delivery date, and a link so I could keep track of when it would be delivered. I will use this company again when ordering. Thank you for the excellent service!
I couldnt live without this hair color! I can even dye my eyebrows with it. IF I surround my brow with Vasoline. Otherwise it dyes my skin. Though it is not recommended you use dye on your brows!!!!! Do a test first and be sure it doesnt get in you eyes!!!!
