This mouse was pretty great for the most part, I didn't bother with the weights but it performed well. I was away from it for a while, and when I came back I thought it was wireless, and tried tugging the cable. It stopped working for a while, so I just unplugged it for a while and took it home for my temporary home setup. It ended up working once I plugged it in again, so even if you're really rough with the cable due ot incompetence like me, it should be ok. The rubber grips on the sides were comfortable, but have poor adhesion, and are falling apart. Overall, the performance itself is fine and the cable was pretty insane to survive what I put it through, but the rubber parts of the mouse can't stay on, just stick with a unibody plastic with some texture.

First Razer mouse I used, an original copperhead, is actually still functional but very worn and looks it. Last Razer mouse, Orochi, lasted less than 2 months before a main button stopped working. After that, tried EVGA, just because the price was amazing. I got 2 Torx 3X Laser mice. Same problem with thumb button, needed to somewhat turn mouse to use thumb buttons, making them less than convenient and undependable in game. Also, very quickly, inside of 2 months, the ... I also could not use the 'thumb' buttons and right mouse button at the same time, as the 'thumb' buttons faced straight up and were designed to be pressed by the same finger that pressed the right mouse button - index finger in my case as I'm left-handed. Again, I use that combination of thumb and right mouse button in some games, so the Logitech mouse was a no-go for games. Finally I tried this mouse, the SteelSeries Sensei 310 Gaming Mouse. It feels so good, just perfect in my hand. the thumb buttons are in the right place to use w/o twisting the mouse, and I may even be able to use the 2 buttons on the other side. As I am not pressing them accidently, I think I can leave them active and use them, a first for an ambidextrous mouse in my experience. The materials feel good, the switches seem solid so far, and the software is great once you get used to it. It even has a cloud feature, so I can keep the settings the same for the mouse I use /w my laptop, and the one I use /w my desktop. The only other mouse I'd consider is the second newest Logitech wired/wireless one, G900, (I don't need Lightspeed charging of G903), but the G900 Still costs over $100, more than 2x the cost of the Sensei 310. Again, for me, so far, 2 months in, this is best ambidextrous/left-handed mouse I've ever used - just great design overall.

I can't vouch for the long-term durability of the grip surfaces since I only used it about a week. The mouse buttons are scalloped for the fingers to settle in securely. There's only a slight downward curve to them toward the front of the mouse, which I'm not really used to. The right side slopes downward evenly with no ridge to aid in picking up the mouse, though, so if you like to frequently lift the mouse during gameplay, you might have a little trouble with this one. The CPI button is quite tall, but never got in the way during use. There is a bit of a raised, angular ridge running along the center of the mouse that was noticeable at first, but wasn't distracting during gaming and seemed to help keep my hand from shifting around the mouse. I'd recommend testing a display model for grip - it fit my large hands (20cm from wrist to fingertip) well, but smaller hands may have trouble getting a good grip. It was lighter than I expected for such a large mouse, which is probably a good thing for faster gameplay, and the included weight system can help balance it out or make it heftier. Even though it felt lighter than I'm used to, I wound up not using these after some testing as I found the light weight helpful for gameplay. The removable side panels where the weights are installed fit securely and never shifted around during use. The weights are only friction-fit in rubberized slots, but are held securely by tabs on the inside of the side panels. They did sometimes fall out while removing the panels, though.The RGB lighting definitely looks cool and is evenly lit, but I barely noticed it during gameplay. The lines that run along the body actually have 3 light segments, and can smoothly transition between colors. Color patterns are customizable in the software, along with button functions, CPI levels, and liftoff distance detection. I haven't had much time to play around with these settings, though, but I have used the software for other SteelSeries peripherals and found it adequate.The cable is detachable and connects to the mouse via micro-USB. It does use a proprietary plug shape to fit snugly into the mouse, but the socket is large and deep enough that other micro-USB cables with a small enough plug could also fit if the included cable wears out. I didn't test this, though.

The left mouse button would not register a hold down for long, it seemed to be interrupted. So on the 21/5/19 I sent it back for an RMA, I since then received a new mouse. Everything was fine again, the feel of the mouse is great.The accuracy and amount of setup options again are fantastic. I have a large hand, so if you also have a large hand with claw grip this mouse will be great for you.The placement of the buttons is well thought out.I like the software and I like the way this mouse feels, it moves very freely. Thsi gaming mouse is really good for it's price (although i got it during a sale). The overall feeling of the mouse is very good and it sits comfortable in your hand. I personally have quite big but slender hands and the hindmost sidebutton feels a bit awkward to press, but everything else is quite comfortable to use. Being able to adjust the weight to a certain degree also really helps (since I personally don't prefer ultra-lightweight mice).The cable is surprisingly long and seems a bit cheap but the overall quality of the packaging and the product easily make up for it.Overall I can very much recommend this product for gamers that don't care about some additional cables.

Didn't make the mice defective but it was quite a nuisance. I do not foresee this being an issue on the 600 as its finished in a flat black plastic with very small grips.The L/R Clicks are floating and feel great. Just a bit 'clicky' and responsive. I expect to get a lot of life out of them (and im hard on mice). The RBG stuff is cool, I guess lol. Scroll wheel feels like it should hold up, however it is a little "mushy". Works fine, but not my personal preference. Given how much I loved SteelSeries headsets, I decided to give their mouse a try when it came time to replace my previous one. Unfortunately I ended up disappointed.The Rival 600 has two detachable side panels with a rubber piece glued across each. I've had to replace the right side panel twice because the rubber dislodged on its own and left my fingers exposed to the sticky glue underneath. The first time was about 6 months after I bought the mouse and the second time was about 3 months after that. This was after using it for around 3-4 hours each night during that time period. MoreGiven how much I loved SteelSeries headsets, I decided to give their mouse a try when it came time to replace my previous one. Unfortunately I ended up disappointed.The Rival 600 has two detachable side panels with a rubber piece glued across each. I've had to replace the right side panel twice because the rubber dislodged on its own and left my fingers exposed to the sticky glue underneath. The first time was about 6 months after I bought the mouse and the second time was about 3 months after that. This was after using it for around 3-4 hours each night during that time period. I ultimately gave up replacing it after the second time and just wiped the glue off.Unfortunately this week after about a year and half of ownership, the rubber panel on the left side has also decided to peel off.I wanted to like this mouse because everything else about it was great. It was responsive while gaming and the RGB lights were easy to assign in the SteelSeries program. Before the rubber side panels started falling off, it did feel comfortable in my hand.I don't know if it's just a case for the way the Rival 600 is designed, but I would recommend avoiding this model.
