Overall really happy with this mouse, although I am bias as my tendency to like Steel series stems from the fact they're heavier than most mice. The Rival 710 has got.a good bit of weight to it, tracks accurately, occasionally it has the tendency to get caught while sliding but I don't have a mousepad and it's a wide mouse, go figure. If you like the tiny fits on your fingertips mouse, this isn't what you're looking for, it's nice and beefy, the macro buttons work wonderfully, scrollwheel is responsive but not overly touchy, and the OLED screen on the side makes for some cute touches. This has to be one of the worst mice that I have used in a while. For being 100 dollars for a mouse the build quality is very poor. Their is not grip it is just a different type of plastic on the side that slips very easy. The mouse it self is very small so it is really hard to use after playing past 5hrs. And one thing that bothers me so much is how heavy the mouse is and the fact that it don’t side good. I had to put tape on the bodom of the mouse because their is a pice of rubber preventing it from slideing smooth. If you would like a mouse that i could recommend that is good is either the Razer DeathAdder. It is a very light and good feeling mouse all around. Overall it is an excellent mouse with pretty high quality materials. It feels great in the hand and with great customization of how the sensor functions you can tweak it to your exact preference. However the OLED is almost never going to be looked at by the player but if you have friends or family with you it might look cool to them. The software is frequently updated so hopefully my issue with having to end the process and restart it occasionally won't be an issue at some point in the future. The price might be a bit much for a wired mouse to some but for the most part it has earned its keep with me.

Some have said this mouse is heavy I don't agree with that. The removable cable is a very nice feature it comes with a short cable and a longer heavy duty cable...easy to change. Many parts of the mouse come of and can be changed perhaps this is for some future plans, don't know. It feels solid in your hand, first time I started the App it downloaded a firmware update to the mouse. The macro software is easy to use. What I LOVE is the ability to set some feedback when the macro is running you can set it to buzz or pulse or make a couple of simpler actions. I used to have a previous version of this mouse and was thinking of how much I liked it. Was surprised to see Steelseries was discontinuing them and had to pick one up. I was glad to get it on clearanceand the product has been fantastic.
Not a fan of the trend toward lighter and smaller mice. Having previously owned a Sensei was going to pick up the newer version of it. Saw this one on clearance in store so decided to try it instead. It was a good decision as it’s been probably second favorite all time behind a Logitech G5 with added weights.The OLED is gimmicky as it’s incredibly more difficult to see than even the keyboard OLED. Would prefer to have seen an easier to find connector for the USB cable.As a problem with other Steelseries products, the new software is getting bloated. Engine works well enough and not any issues so far.
This is a really high-end mouse, gimmicks or no gimmicks. This mouse has a built-in & customizable vibration motor which can enhance in-game immersion similar to how rumble in a console controller enhances gameplay. The ergonomics are pretty good on here too but not as good as the rival 600. The build and material quality, as you would expect from Steelseries, is top-notch. The side-screen is kind of neat too and can even be customized to display various computer usage stats or GIFs. What I don't like about this mouse is how heavy it is; this mouse feels very dense and can be disadvantageous for competitive gaming (where again I would recommend the Rival 600 over this mouse for).

It was almost perfect! However, I ended up returning this mouse and going back to my Rival 310 because it is just too heavy and not as comfortable. All that extra tech inside this mouse really makes it quit heavy. I did get use to it but I prefer a mouse to be as light as possible. I never did get use to the shape of it though. It is very similar to the Rival 310 except the removable Rival plate on the very butt of the mouse creates a corner that went right into my palm. I love this mouse. It was the last one on shelf at my store and I'm satisfied with my purchase. It is probably the only mouse in the world that has haptic feedback / vibration which I absolutely like. I know it's not meant for everyone but it gives my hand a nice massage. If you're used to playing on the PS4, PS5 or the Xbox One / X series with controller vibration, you may probably enjoy it. Download the SteelSeries software to customize the buttons to your liking.
