This is pretty cool little gadget.I've been using only one paired with a phone clamp and my iPhone. I use my phone as an external monitor for the moment (I'm kinda' cheap that way) so I can see exactly how the image is going to look as I capture it. I use baked in LUTs for my footage and this has helped me out tremendously for my budget set up I'm currently running.Quality gadget at a great price!

Exceptional well engineered and manufactured. I use them on my RSS tripod to hold my CamRanger and Power Bank. Perfect size and can be adjusted as needed. A+ product. You can also get the SmallRig adjustable clamps to put on your tripod legs if you prefer.I also use them for LED lights and flashes.

I purchased this to mount my Atomos Ninja V onto my camera cage. The ball heads can carry the Atomos weight (12.7 oz / 360 g) but it's nearing its limit. I have to frequently re-tighten the ball heads as they tend to loosen up. If bumped they will move positions easily. These are ideal for very low weight items or if you have limited space issues. For security/safety I would recommend getting something a little bigger.
I like the size of this product. It's very small and compact. I'm using it to attach my Zoom H6 to my SmallRig while I shoot interviews.I think that the weight of that audio recorder might be at the upper limit for what this thing can handle because it's constantly coming loose when I use it. Just normal handling of my rig causes the screw to start unthreading.I think I might start using this for an LED light or something lighter in the future. Perhaps I may try rotating the arm 180 degrees to see if my results improve.
Like the title says this things arrived and it is tiny. I have a DJI Ronin-S gimbal and I was using this on a 1/4-20 bracket to mount my Atomos Shinobi monitor but it’s so small that I can’t actually do that. Luckily I also purchased the SmallRig handle and was able to mount it there temporarily until I can order a larger articulating arm.I’m sure this thing has its uses and it’s always good to have something like this in a kit, and it does feel very solid, but I wouldn’t buy one again.
This it's okay. But it's very small. So it's not good deal if you are looking for a on camera monitor grip. Just for lighter things.
I bought several of these mounts already, but let me start by stating that I did NOT buy them for their intended purpose (which is for mounting small cameras like a personal handheld or a GoPro to a stationary base, or perhaps even lighter professional cameras)... Instead my use of them (misuse of them) was to attach arrow quivers to the side of high-powered hunting crossbows (I wanted to be able to infinitely customize the position of the quiver assemblies). And for my purpose this mount ALMOST worked beautifully. It easily supports the added weight (more than that of any of my cameras) and it seamed very solid and appeared to hold up to the much greater leverage presented by a 22 inch long arrow package against its tiny 1/4 inch balls (which made for a rather ... It easily supports the added weight (more than that of any of my cameras) and it seamed very solid and appeared to hold up to the much greater leverage presented by a 22 inch long arrow package against its tiny 1/4 inch balls (which made for a rather extreme fulcrum point), but field testing revealed that it would slip slightly from recoil-shock when actually shooting (which in my case created a potentially hazardous condition that could get someone hurt). And so in the end I upgraded the bows much larger 1 inch steel and rubber ball motorcycle camera mounts intended to take road vibration and shock of potholes (and this worked perfectly)... Anyhow, that is not what THIS tiny 1/4 inch all-metal mount was ever intended for to begin with. But I can tell you that my misuse presented real-world test conditions which were way-way more extreme than you should ever encounter when using it for its true purpose. So I'd expect it to work out absolutely great as an actual static camera mount. It really is a solid design; very compact, all metal, precision machined parts, even the turn knobs are metal, so you can really torque this thing down very tightly without it failing; there is no plastic in any of the design. It is very clearly well worth the money. And I will definitely still use the 2 I have to set up stationary cameras in the field. In fact, they are so nice that I will likely buy more to use with all of my trail-cams.
A+ engineering! I use these for all sorts of things like mounting external monitors and power banks to my tripod.I also mounted them into the base of my macro table to hold small lights.I think I have a dozen of them now!!!
Overall could be useful for small items like maybe a very small...items..I guess? Basically every piece of accessory I have for my BMPCC6K set up requires stronger magic arms or connectors. The item is super tiny and kind of cute. I tried using it for my Hollyland transmitter and it broke. I think it was because I screwed it on too tight. But still. All that said, if your concerned about your expensive camera gear’s getting ruined, I think you should look into something. If you want to attach something small to this or use it to supplement support maybe this things for you.
