I fitted the M8000 bar mount version of this shifter to my bike when M8000 was initially released & was a little dissapointed. I changed over to the I-Spec B version as soon as it became available, what a massive difference it has made. Its lighter, shifts better and the overall finish seems much better. Its a doddle to fit to I-Spec B levers and comes with the parts included.As with most Shimano M8000 components its not the lightest.

Top quality as expected from Shimano, this was part of a full upgrade to their 1x11 drivetrain, no complaints at all it runs smooth as silk with a crisp positive gear shift. cannot comment on durability as I have only used it 3 times but it feels as good if not better than my previous XT shifter This particular model comes without the learners gear indicator window which was a bonus for me, many people are struggling to obtain the blanking cover to replace this on the other models.

Very happy with the shifter. I did have a problem with the mounting, I thought changing to a bar mount would be trivial, but I could not find a mount for this. In the end I ordered the bar version, and took off the display.Shifting is good, levers feel solid.

I had to return my shifters because my brakes were ispec a.Shimano say they are backward compatible and they will include both fittings but they don't .It was going to cost a extra £9 per shifter to get the ispec a nut and bolt (but were hard to find anywhere in stock),so I returned them and bought the ispec II shifters and brakes.They looked and felt nice.
The I-spec B is new to me, but it's a good idea and makes your bars seem less cluttered with only the brake lever clamp, to which he shifter bolts.There's a bit of adjustment to get it in the right place, and this is harder than with a bar mount shifter, but once set up its excellent.Shifts are crisp with a very positive action, so you always know that you've changed gear, even in thick winter gloves.
Reliable, robust, reasonably priced& as I-Spec B version directly compatible with Hope brakes.What more can one ask for?!
Nice clean clamp. Shift levers feel solid and are very light. Comes with full inner and outter cable along with a large selection of ferrules and a couple of crimps.Easy enough to fit to Ispec shifters.
I upgraded the drivetrain on my 2016 Scott Spark 910 from 2x10 Speed XT to 2x11 (11-42) Speed XT. I purchased my bike 2nd hand, so this is why it had the 2x10 Speed XT set-up and not the standard 2x11 (11-40) XT set-up that one would normally find on this bike when buying it new.Anyway, I got my bike back from the local bike shop today after they fitted the XT Cassette (11-42), SGS long XT 11 speed derailleur, HG701 11 speed chain and XT 11 speed I Spec B shifter.I did not change the existing Deore XT disc brakes and needed to fit the correct 11 speed Shifter. The guys at Evans were fantastic and advised that I need to fit the I Spec B shifter to my Deore XT BL-M785 brake lever. XT Shifter that is reliable and fit for purpose so far I've had no trouble with this component I-Spec B mount is robust. Easy to set up and gives crisp shifting performance.
I purchased the ispec-B variant to pair with some SLX M675 brakes. Coupled with the M8000 rear derailleur, the shifts are very positive, reasonably light even with the rear mech's clutch engaged, and quick, even to the 42-tooth rear sprocket.Installation was very easy, and kudos to Shimano for including gear cable outer and some cable 'seals' (seals not used because I chose to run a full-length outer).Of course, far too early to make any comment on longevity, but so far, I'm impressed with the apparent quality.
