Provocative Eau De Parfum Spray by Elizabeth Arden - 100 ml

This is an older perfume most women swear is perfect for the cooler months, but I am only now finding this to be enjoyable as the temperatures are warming up and we move into Spring. Red Door is a loud, powdery floral with a huge floral bouquet. The opening is very intense and can be difficult for me because I am sensitive to tuberose and find it to be literally suffocating. Once I started to spray it on my skin, I understood why this perfume is still being sold in high volume after so many years. Once this fragrance settles in my skin for a few minutes, it starts to become a beautiful powdery, warm, rose and jasmine fragrance that dances on a base of honey with the tuberose note floating above. It all works together in a way that smells amazingly sexy and feminine to my nose. I find myself burying my face into my robe or shirt to smell the sweet honey and floral scent anytime I am wearing it now. I would consider this a more mature floral appropriate for a woman in her 30’s or older. It is intense and can become overwhelming when more than a couple of sprays are used. I don’t recommend wearing this to dinner. The tuberose note seems to make it difficult to eat or enjoy flavors when I wear this. However, this is very affordable and easy purchased at department stores or TJ Maxx at reasonable prices. It smells more modern than most fragrances from the 80’s or 90’s. It is not a safe blind buy, but it is a nice departure from the modern fragrances of today.
