Mobil 1 Extended Performance Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20, 5 Quart

It is hard to find 5 quart containers of extended service oil under $25 nowadays. I used to stock up on the Valvoline EP 0W-20 5-quart bottles when they were about $23 from Amazon 6~7 at a time. My family has three cars and we go through quite a bit of engine oil a year. I switched back to Mobil 1 EP because I know its products start with better base oil than its competitors with unnecessary add packages, and the prices were unbelievably unbeatable at Walmart.

112,000 Miles On Mobil 1, Still Running Strong

I've been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 with Mobil 1 oil filter's for 5 years on my 2019 Honda Insight. My car still runs great, it still feels new. My engine gets great gas mileage and performance. I change the oil every 5,000 miles with a fresh Mobil 1 oil filter. I'd recommend Mobil 1 products to anyone looking to take good care of their cars. I'd recommend always coupling the Mobil 1 oil with a Mobil 1 oil filter to get maximum protection.

2018 Cadillac Escalade

Do not use caused my 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV to malfunction. Had the dealership install the oil and filter. After I drove the vehicle off the lot it started vibrating and smoking. Every time I try to get a refund on the oil and filter that I am unable to return because it was used on the vehicle. I had the dealership change the oil immediately. Everytime I call to request a refund I get told to call a different phone number that I called the wrong department. So I call the number they gave me and the same thing keeps having over and over again that I called the wrong department and get given a different number keep getting the run around

Aloha,I have a 2019 Toyota Highlander I just bought (used) and for its first oil change I wanted to use a full synthetic oil .Mobil brand was the only one available and the O Reilly store clerk told me it was a good choice; can’t go wrong!The personal at the Kaneohe O Reilly store are always very helpful and patient with customers like me that are mechanically challenged.I have previously used Mobile synthetic oil in my 2005 Escalade and in kept her going up to 220000 miles +Mahalo

The best oil with a $12 online rebate for the best price is Mobil 1 Extended. The ONLY reason not to use a full synthetic oil is the cost and the coupon ($24 for 10 quarts) solves that. Most car companies recommend using synthetic oils. Synthetic oil is less likely to form troublesome sludge, is thinner, resists temp extremes, and lasts longer. Yes, you can actually only change your oil once a year. Doing it more often is a waste of money. The reason oils can claim 20,000 miles is that it's mostly highway miles (the typical way to get that many miles in a year) and the wear at 65 miles per hour is a tenth of that of stop and go city driving. This is an industry standard test. Such tests confirm no problems. Mobil also did this for a half million highway miles for a Chevy Silverado and changing the oil 20,000 miles maintained a perfectly good engine (the transmission only lasted 300k miles). Mobile has also run NYC cabs for 15 years changing the oil every 20,000 mile for city stop go driving. It these tests, they also changed the filters every 20,000 miles and found the top filters hold up as well IF they used an improved gasket material (the difference between a M1-110 and a M1-110A filter). Thus, it's important to get an oil filter that matches your oil. It's not about the oil breaking down (because it doesn't - like normal oil) but the additives "wearing out." Modern oils add Molybdenum for 1-2% lower friction, calcium and magnesium for cleaning (in different ways). Boron, phosphorus, ZDDP, or zinc deplete by "sticking" to the metal (forming metal oxides) to make the metal harder for high temps (less noise and running cooler) - reduced amounts are to protect your converter. Highly recommend.

Good oil and performs well

Great product at a great price but

It's been tested and proven that Mobil 1 is ranked among the highest in the industry. There are many alternatives that will do just as well depending on your application. This price for a 3 pack is a great value if you're oneof the lucky ones that actually receives a 3 pack. Yes, I've ordered these deal twice in the past. My first order last year came as a 3 pack but my second order a month ago only came with a single jug. I was successful at returning it to a store and they happily refunded my money but that's not what I paid for, I wanted the 3 pack at this special price. It's hard to imagine how some orders are fulfilled with such incompetence but it happens.

My Accord is driven thousands of miles a month and I do not even think about having a breakdown. My fuel economy is far above EPA ratings and it has been this way for the 200,000+ miles on my Honda Accord. Never a single issue. Will run this engine to 300k effortlessly with zero work. 4-5k intervals max with M1 EP filter. No leaks or seaps. Purrs like new. Would run longer intervals but I drive so much I wouldn't even risk it for the 40 bucks it costs to change it. Cheap insurance and peace of mind. I have been using M1 EP 0/20 and M1 oil filters since my 2010 Corolla was brand new. It sadly got totaled when I hit a deer several months ago. I changed the oil and filter myself every 5-6000 miles the car consistently got 26-32mpg city and 32-40 highway. It was a 5speed manual. The car had 284,000 miles when it was totaled. It never burned any oil till 250,000 miles. 1/2 qt between oil changes. The engine ran perfect at 284,000 miles. But the giant buck I hit was too tough for the plastic and sheet metal of my beloved Corolla. I loved that car. I miss that car.

Mobil 1 EP 0w20

My wife's car is a 2000 Honda CRV purchased new. It has had oil changes with Mobil 1 every 4K - 5K. Now at 215K miles, it neither burns nor leaks any oil between changes. At the recent 200K timing belt service, the valve train looked new and all metal was clean and shiny as though it just came from the machine shop. Other oils may work as well but M1 is a pretty amazing product.
