The MX Mechanical Mini is a TKL keyboard with a great build quality and elegant coloring for a professional setting. My previous keyboard is a K780 and it has been a great experience, which made me hopeful the MX Mechanical Mini would be even better. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case and my issues basically boil down to the addition of the Logi Bolt.Logi Bolt simply doesn't work as well as the Unifying Receiver, which allowed you to link multiple keyboards / mice and bring the connection on the go. I was also able to enter my PIN at boot, which I'm no longer able to do and forces me to have an alternate keyboard to type that up. One other annoyance is that I've used Logitech for the convenience of using devices on more than one computer and that requires ... I know the Logi Bolt was introduced to provide a secure environment, but it came at a great cost. One that I'm not sure I'm willing to pay up and might end up going back to my K780.

Anyways, I think the software is well crafted and useful. If you need to learn a few things about your keyboard, the “Feature Tour” option in the App highlights the capabilities of this mouse. For example, I didn’t know how to lock the F keys, going through the tour in the App, showed me that pressing “fn” plus “esc” did the trick. Also, you can combine the “fn” key with the other two keys that have a lock symbol to “Scroll lock/unlock” and to “Num lock/unlock”. Other aspect was learning how to change the light patterns (the key next to F12) and intensity (the F3 and F4 keys.) In summary, you can use the Logi Options+ App to learn about and customize your device.

I ended up returning this for the narrower, Mac specific version. This was so wide that it was awkward to use a mouse. Either the mouse is very far to your right and the keyboard is centered, or the keyboard is far to the left that the keys are not centered in front of you so that the mouse is comfortable to reach.The buttons are located close together so I find it hard to type without hitting others unintentionally. I type more slowly and make more mistakes with this keyboard.I own a MacBook Pro from 2016 running Monterrey 12.6.2 (todays latest) and the Logitech App doesn't function properly. My settings do not save (chosen backlight for example) although they should and although I am using the keyboard to interface with the app, the app says it cannot detect ... As a long time Mac user I've been through the cycles of being betrothed to the Apple peripherals, and then getting frustrated with them, and then when they release a new version going through the cycle all over again. Logitech seems to be the only vendor who consistently makes good peripherals that I keep coming back - and the MX Mechanical keyboard is now another one to add to my list.I've actually been using the original MX Keys for Mac for a couple of years, and although it's been great for the home office I've been looking for something with a little more feedback and tactile touch. The MX mechanical keyboard delivers, with just enough to keep you in touch with the typing motion but not so loud that it sounds like you're living in an 80's office typing pool.The main reason you're here is to hear about the noise - does it make a noise? Yes, but as I mentioned this is part of the whole tactile experience that people like me miss with regular soft-touch laptop keyboards. The keyboard is available in 3 different 'experiences' ( Tactile Quiet, Clicky and Linear.) so if you're in any doubt, I would suggest a trip to your local Best Buy to try them out in person. The example in my video is the tactile quiet version, which is just the write balance but it will be entirely down to you personal preference.The MX retains all the features I loved from the original MX - with the ability to quick-switch between multiple devices (I use it to control 2 laptops connected to the same monitor). The only thing to call out here is that although you can still pair the keyboard through bluetooth, it no longer appears to support the Logitech Unified receiver - it instead ships with the new Logitech Bolt adapter. I only mention this in case like me you are already using the unified receiver for other devices - you may need to consider upgrading those to to be Bolt compliant. There are some nice options for the backlighting (including a 'random' mode and one where only the key you touch lights up - which is a cool gimmick but practically the only useful backlighting is constant so you can actually see the keys in the dark).I would still recommend this full size keyboard over the mini version - its down to personal preference but the dedicated page navigation and number pad just seem to make my workflow a bit more streamlined without constantly flipping for FN or option keys to get what I need done.

It's frustratingly bad. It took ages to get it installed because the link in the documentation only provides an installer app, and that app couldn't find the actual installation files on Logi's website. Turns out a proxy server I run was interfering, but this is literally the only program I've ever used that balked at such a setup.On a more minor complaint, but related to the keyboard and its software, the lighting choices are very limited, most of which distract from typing. There's also no way to adjust the backlight's timing. It fades out pretty quick.Finally, it appears this keyboard cannot be used wired via USB, which is a disappointment but not a dealbreaker. The included Bolt receiver can control multiple Logi devices, so you only need one USB slot for multiple peripherals.Overall, a pretty decent wireless keyboard, with a nice keyfeel when typing. The backlighting, in the least offensive setting, is not overly gaudy. The Logi software that unlocks more features is a pain in the rear and of limited usefulness, though.

The desk I have my daughters gaming laptop and streaming setup isn't large but wanted a nice full-size mechanical keyboard without all the additional macro buttons. This one fit the bill for what I was looking for and matched the aesthetics for her current setup. Even for being smaller than a few of our other gaming keyboards this one had some solid weight to it. You can tell from when you first pick it up it was made with quality parts and aluminum/metal. The keys feel great and response so far has been lightening fast with it connected via Bluetooth.The battery life so for has been great but comes with a USB-C cable to chare up within a few hours once it does die. It does come with the dongle if needed but within about a minute I had it connected via Bluetooth without any issues. It also has a pretty cool feature to pair it with up to three different devices which we don't have a need for but could see that being useful for other techies or those with a computer/laptop/tablet that only want to have to use one keyboard.Overall this is a solid keyboard with some specific functionality and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is purely due to the price. It is in the top range of other keyboards I have purchased the last few years. It doesn't have some of the other features they do but again that could also be part of its appeal depending on what you want to use it for. It looks great, feels rock solid, and definitely has its pros with my only con being how much it is.
I am very skeptical of low profile keyboard in general, I have tried only couple of brands, like Keychron K1 and Logitech G915 KTL so I can't sure if the whole low profile keyboard market is that bad. The Keychron K1 look attractive, but for sure it can not compare with the quality and design concept from Logitech where the G915 KTL looks stunning in every way, but when it comes to typing experience, both the Keychron K1 and the Logitech G915 feel terrible.Here is they they are bad, they both have the similar problem, the low profile key and the key cap are so loose if you put a finger on a key, don't press down but move your finger tip around, the key is basically follow you finger tip, this is where the problem is, when type ping you need to feel a stable key and ... That is the enough about the old stuffs!Let now talk about the new low profile MS mechanical keyboard, I bought the Mini version with clicky switches (I have alway been loving the clicky switches). and they came with different switch now where I can feel that they are move stable, with a little more down ward travel compare to the G915.right the way out of the box they the typing feels great, switches are more tidily build and the keycap's insert leg is like the Cherry MX style switch so they are much less wiggle around. This is the key to the overall feel and confident when typing and this is why this keyboard is a lot more satisfying compare to the G915. There are so many review nuts on you tube are talking to much about stuffs like sound test and so much un important feature about the keyboard. For me I just want to focus on satisfaction and how confident I feel when typing, because I what you do, you need the keyboard so you can type text all day. Not listing to sound or this and that.One other important aspect about the keyboard is the layout position of every key, a go layout contribute a lot to how quick can learn about keyboard and productive when you work. For that, I thinks this both the full size and the mini are very well design and I have tom complaint what so every about the layout.One addition sell point about this keyboard is it ability to automatically select Mac or Windows keycap which I wanted for a long time but not many company about make the Mac Ready keyboard like Logitech. I think they finally get it. That is why I am going to keep this MX Mechanical Mini as my main daily keyboard. I wish if Logitech will put the say switch and keycap on the G915, that will be even better keyboard in every way, I love the G915 KTL layout, unfortunately Logitech put the bad switch on the current G915, that make it a nice looking keyboard but such when typing. I have been hesitant to get a mech keyboard, but this one finally ticked all the boxes (low pro, 100% with f16-19, good driver support, instant connectivity, full Mac support, connection for up to 3 devices, programmable Mac shortcuts, doesn't look like a teenage gamers keyboard). After a decade plus of strictly using apple magic keyboards I decided I just wanted something different. After an adjustment period I love it. I do think the caps feel a little 'meh' they are concave from left to right and wish they were more dished out like the regular MX keys. They also do not feel that great for the price point. I do like the preprogrammed fn keys for dictation, emojis, mute, and screenshot- they really hit the nail on the wfh head there. I do think they should include separate Mac or windows specific keys on top of the combination marked keys that come with it, especially at this price point. And as an upgrade different productivity labeled caps for video/photo/design/excel etc...The problems I have: the receiver was my preferred way over bluetooth but doesn't play well with Mac fn's (media keys have issues with some music players, screen brightness, mission control related fn keys don't work). On BT everything mostly works. The other thing that drives me crazy is it falls asleep too fast. I use a Wacom tablet so a lot of the times after a brief period of not touching the a key (~1-5 minutes) the keyboard will sleep and when I go to hit a key, usually a programmed fn key, the keyboard will take a moment to wake up, blink and connect. Then the default fn key setting will register instead- which in my case is lock machine. This really messes with my productivity. It even happens sometimes when I have my hand resting on the keyboard. I thought the proximity sensor would know I'm there and keep it on. The battery percentage is wrong as well pretty much always says 100% since I've had it, but if I plug it in it'll tell me the real percentage. Though battery life is amazing, especially since I keep the backlighting off.
