I'm hesitant to leave a mediocre review as the issue might be specific to my application. I've been dealing with a faucet handle that's challenging to fully tighten, causing it to frequently come loose. While I've had success with other Threadlocker applications in the past, unfortunately, this one didn't work out for me. I'm unsure if it's because the application is in a recess that doesn't allow for adequate oxygen to initiate the chemical reaction, but regardless, the faucet handle never bonds to the threads even with the Threadlocker applied.

I got this for a friends project. I have also used a lot of this in my career as a heavy duty diesel engine mechanic. It works extremely well and once it’s cured, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible to take apart. We used it for mounting bolts on a tow bar. It readily flowed into the threads of the bolt and the red color makes it easier to see. If you’re looking for extra locking from this product, there is a cleaner/catalyst that you can use with it as well. If you use the catalyst, be aware that it is permanent and may require destruction of what you’re putting together, in order to take it apart.

I'm really stuck on this product.

I purchased a new set of fireplace tools. All the parts came in a box and needed assembly. All the handles and the stand kept coming lose. Using the long handle ash shovel was very difficult. The shovel pan kept rotating in the handle.I chose this product not only because of the prior reputation, but also because it could be used with high temperature.I followed the instructions. It called for waiting for 24 hrs. to fully dry.Since that time, I have not had a problem.

This is the most amazing product thought by man, let alone manufactured! The mere concept of fastening in screws, an object designed to be removable, permanently is an idea that even the likes of Aristotle could be hard pressed to fathom. The forethought required by the magnificent empire of a brand that Loctite is to come up with such a philosophically rich color for this purpose could not be more appropriate! As the red wave of Communism rose to meet the corruption of Capitalism, so does Loctite Thread Locker Red 271 meet the challenge of making the removable irremovable! Also note the divine number attributed to this product, how mysterious and wonderful it is! Every consumer surely knows its purpose!

Loctite IS the industry standard. Reliable product, performs as advertised. Easy to apply. Clear instructions were provided. Product application/spec chart provided. Less one star because the bottle is not ideal for multiple uses. The cap does not seal well. Additionally, the cap is easy to crack, making leaks even worse. I store the small bottles in zip-lock bags to prevent messes. Also, note there is no expiration date on the bottle or package. For certified work (aerospace) the large bottles come with expiration dates and do not have a leak problem.

I had a pesky brake caliper bolt that just would not stay tight. It was an obvious swap for the original which can't be bought anymore. Twice I nearly lost this replacement even after tightening to torque.An Autozone Parts guy suggested I use this Petmatex Red Threadlocker on the bolt. Following the directions I did just that.Its only been a couple weeks but the bolt has shown.any signs of backing out. Before Threadlocker ,I was having to check that bolt on a regular basis mostly out of anxiety.Now I don't even worry. It's still tight and secure and I can focus on the next diy repair on my list.!

The Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 worked better than expected! I wanted a permanent fix and I feel that’s what I’m getting with this.My washing machine was falling apart and I needed a product that would be lasting. I was also concerned with rusting too. After finding the Loctite Threadlocker Red I knew it was worth the try.As soon as the product was delivered, I went to work. Application is simple. Making sure all parts were clean and dry and shaking the bottle well before use.I applied the 271 on the threads and made sure all parts were assembled correctly. It has been over a month and I have had no issues yet. No sign of rust and the product is lasting.I’ve used the Loctite Blue before and loved that product as well. I knew I’d be happy with the 271.

I work as a mechanic in a construction company and I fix various machinery and air compressors that vibrate a lot and the screws can sometimes losen up and by using Loctite threadlocker red 271 helps keep the screws secure and in place. It is very important for me to fix all the machinery properly and safely. I have been using Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 when fixing certain machinery dealing with screws and what I like about the Loctite is that it helps to tighten the screws so it won't losen up. This is a permanent and heavy duty threadlocker and it dries in 10 minutes and it's easy to use. This is something I will keep on hand and it's a must for me when working in the shop. I highly recommend this Loctite ThreadLocker Red 271 to all.

Before trying this, I did not know I needed threadlock for my bolts, but now I use it on everything. On my model aircraft, fasteners are very important to the structure ans they tend to fall out due to natural vibration of the plane. Now, there is no need for me to worry because the threads stay in place! Application is easy and not messy at all and works much better thsn originally thought. Loctite is also a fantastic and trusted brand I have used for years.

don't do what I did

as far as I know it works pretty good, not a single bolt has worked out in the last two days but one thing is that when I went to cut the tip open the thin liquid jumped out on my arm. It looked like I had cut myself but I hadn't. I just felt I had wasted some of that very expensive liquid. So I recommend to open the package as in cutting off the tip be done with scissors or at least place it down a a rag on a table. Do not do like I did and just push the blade thru at arm's length. Since I was holding the tube a significant amount came out onto my arm. I would have to think what would have happened if it had gone in my eyes. You might want to put a very large warning on the front of the package about how to properly open the tube.
