Fantastic Figs and How Many Mad-Eyes There Are

The face printing and skin tone is nice, although it doesn't really match the actress. The skirt piece sticks out a bit strange if you don't fold it just right. She also has new medium-length/1 and a half stud legs, longer than, say, Flitwick's, but shorter than the standard. She has a light brown wand.Newt:This one was for a family member, and they were very happy with him. One downside would be that he has three accessories, only two hands, and neither his Niffler nor wand fit inside the suitcase fully. Still, great printing, including even his Bowtruckle/plant friend in his pocket. He has a deep orange wand.Queenie:This one was a mystery buy; I didn't know what her baguette piece was until I opened the packet. Out of all the figures I got, BEST face printing; the expression is very unique. The legs piece is an achievement for Lego, with three separate colors seamlessly wrapping around the sides. She has a jet black wand. For licensed CMF series, I can understand the $3.99 price. Hopefully, for the random minifigures though, they can push it back down to $2.99 again.

Plenty of new elements - a few of which I can see being used outside the Harry Potter line in the future, especially the new ā€˜teen’ legs.Trelawney is a gem, especially compared to her previous incarnation from over a decade ago - love her new hair. Moody/Crouch Jr. is also an amazing update to a character who didn’t get justice the last time around. In fact, most of the present figures are great improvements over the ones from previous waves, the ones who aren’t simply weren’t made before - we finally get Cedric! :DI went to my local Lego Store at opening on the day these were released and spent about an hour feeling bags until I found them all. Obviously this was expected, as there were several fresh boxes left out so plenty of people could search at once. I’ve never picked ups whole series day-of-release before, and it was actually really fun to chat and exchange doubles. When I got home my sister (who isn’t a big Lego fan and probably hasn’t touched a set since her old Belleville stuff) helped me open my bags and assemble my little army. She promised to tease me mercilessly if my hour of searching resulted in any accidental doubles but seemed mildly impressed when it turned out I found everyone.I’ve only got a few small nit picks with this series. On a technical standpoint, like a previous reviewer I’ve had trouble with Crookshanks refusing to ā€˜stick’ to a baseplate properly, he keeps popping up. From the artistic side, I’m a little peeved that they used the same swooshy hairstyle from the Dimensions figure on teen Harry. It simply doesn’t look like Harry’s hairstyle and completely covers his trademark scar. If they’d wanted to have different hairstyles for child and teen Harry then there are several other hair pieces that are closer to Harry’s style and would leave his forehead uncovered.

Great collection - shame about the chase figure
1 August 2018

Like most Lego / Harry Potter fans, I am delighted that the Wizarding World is once again at large in brick-built form. I have been looking forward to this series for months, and the figures themselves look absolutely gorgeous. However, after the debacle with the Classic Policeman figure from series 18, I am disappointed and surprised that this system is back (this time there’s only 1 Percival Graves per box). I spent almost 2 hours in the Lego Store locating the Policeman and met so many disappointed customers who couldn’t understand why it was 1-per-box. I’m not looking forward to repeating this experience when I go into the store this time. Please Lego, we would all much rather just complete our sets than bend over backwards chasing a minifigure.

Hello,These figures are amazing with the amount of work and detail put into them. I bought all of the Harry Potter Lego sets for 2018 and found these miniatures helped enhance the sets because they added more key characters from the books. I especially love Luna Lovegood and her glasses face and Harry Potter with his invisible cloak and how well he matches up with the mirror from the Hogwarts set.I avoided any characters that did not have actual legs like the Dumbledore and Voldemort along with characters from Fantastic Beasts, so I cannot comment on them. Nevertheless, I would still recommend picking up a few packs to get your favorite characters!

I collected seven of the twenty-two minifigures: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Albus Dumbledore, Sybill Trelawney and Newt Scamander. All the minifigs that I got came with a wand. Harry had one other accessory, which was Hedwig, and it seems like the Harry figure is from maybe Goblet of Fire, because of his hair and teen legs. Harry comes with a dark brown wand. He is wearing the standard Hogwarts uniform, very neat. Ron comes with Scabbers and a brown wand, and his robes are a bit messier than Harry’s. She also has a purple handbag, and a new hairpiece that allows her handbag to be put on. As well as that, she has a Quibbler magazine, which is a printed light blue 2x3 tile. Her head twists between a normal face, and wearing spectrespecs. Cho has a brown wand as well, and comes with an owl. She is wearing a grey jumper with the Ravenclaw tie underneath. She sports teen legs, just like Harry, Ron and Luna, and has long black hair. Dumbledore has a beige wand. His other accessory is the pensieve, which is a silver dish with a print on it. He has got a grey beard and grey hairpiece with a blue hat. He also has the new robe piece. Trelawney has a dark brown wand, and a cup and saucer. She has a new hairpiece, with her curly hair and bandanna. She is draped in shawls and, like Dumbledore, has the new robe piece. Newt comes with a dark orange wand, a suitcase, and the Niffler. He has a Bowtruckle printed on his torso, and his legs are dual-printed. Overall, this series is really good. By KiwiLegoFan.

Today I bought two packs at my local bookstore, and couldn’t wait to open them. I got Voldemort and Luna Lovegood, and am especially happy about the second one. But even though I like their appearences and how easily they can be build, I am a bit confused, because my Luna figure doesn’t match the one online or on the list that’s included in the little bag. While these versions only have the ā€œregularā€ face, mine had the glasses from the Quibbler printed on, in metallic colours. While it looks really good, and I really like it, I am just wondering why it is that way? Was the appearance just changed, after they printed everything, or did I miss some special collection information?Anyway, I am really looking forward to display them on my shelf, and maybe even use them ...Ā MoreToday I bought two packs at my local bookstore, and couldn’t wait to open them. I generally prefer the minifig series collectible figures to the other themes but this is different for me. I was able to get these in person and feel for the ones I wanted and I LOVE them. The inside of Harry’s invisibility cloak is amazing (which is surprising because it is not really shown anywhere by Lego). The print on Luna’s magazine is wonderful. The bright blue of Dumbledore’s robes really stand out in the set. Tom Riddle’s diary with sock is a huge winner for the Dobby figure ( a minifig I wasn’t sure I wanted till I had him). I am very excited for more Lego Harry Potter in my life and I hope SO MUCH that this isn’t just a 2018 flash in the pan. I hope we will find more HP sets in 2019.

My first complete minifigure collection

I've never wanted a complete minifigure collection before...until now.Anyone who loves Harry Potter will love these minifigs. And not just one or two of them, but all of them.I'll list my only real gripe about this set before I get to the good things. The 3x4 display plates don't have print on them like the last Batman series had. I know there's technically two sagas represented here (Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts) but some print would've been cool. The best part are the short, bendable legs. I didn't even know they were doing this for this series. It sort of fills in an age gap with Legos minifigures; I guess they'd be early teens? This updated version has longer studs on it (just like the legs) so the torso doesn't fall off every time you move your minifigure. It's also a little shorter than the 2x2x3 so when your minifigure stands next to a minifigure with regular long legs they're the same height. All the characters have great accessories. My favorites are all of the pets (which all have unique prints) and anything that goes perfectly with the Hogwarts castle (I put Dumbledore's vision dish in his office and the Triwizard Cup is behind the teacher's table in the great hall; replacing that cheesy gold one).I'm really hoping for one or two more of these minifigure series collections over the next year or so to fill in more of the students and professors.

Shut up and take my money.

I am A HUGE Harry Potter fan. Like cried on my 11th birthday because I didn’t get my letter to hogwarts. As a parent to two young kids and living in a small apartment, I try not to spend money on legos for myself... but this I couldn't resist. I love the blind bags even though I feel Like a crazy person but it’s part of the fun. Anyways we have found most of the characters at this point and I am Pleased with the amount of detail and I’ve had them on display for my almost 4 year old to see. I plan on collecting some Harry Potter sets for my kids to play with when I decide To introduce the books. It’s always good for little boys to have something for their hands to play with while listening to a story and this is the perfect thing. I hope that there will be a series ...Ā MoreI am A HUGE Harry Potter fan. I hope that there will be a series 2... my wallet doesn’t... but I sure do. HahahaMy favorites for the details so far are Mad eye, Dobby, Luna and Newt. But I love them all.
