Lavazza Caffe Espresso Ground Coffee, Medium 8 oz

Lavazza is one of the very few preground coffees I'll buy. I first had it in Europe and was surprised to find that you can buy it in the grocery store here in the US. Its flavor is even and smooth without tasting too fruity or earthy. It goes great with frothed milk or just a little bit of cream. The people I've introduced to it agree that it's great for preground coffee.The tins are an added bonus and are reusable for a multitude of things. Sometimes I'll use them to store coffee beans since most beans just come in bags. This is just an all around good and relatively affordable coffee.

This espresso works perfect in my espresso maker. Some of the other varieties I've tried have not packed appropriately (the grind is too fine) and the water can't get through easily. I know grinding your own beans is always most desirable, but not as easy. This roast has the perfect grind and the ease of having a perfect latte.

Absolutely in love with Lavazza coffee, I've been looking for a nice espresso that I could make at home that wasn't going to cost me a million dollars lol 😭😆, I was pointed in the direction of this brand! And HOLY MOLY I wish I would have found this brand earlier, it works in all types of coffee machines (BONUS!🥰💕). It's smooth tasting but gives you just enough of that coffee kick that its not bitter. You can make it anyway you like, from cold brew to however you decide! The best part is that it's SUPER budget friendly 😀, it always smells really nice while brewing!! The taste of coffee is quite simple, and at the same time very memorable - soft, with a well-noticeable bitterness. But these are not burnt beans, as someone might think (they have a completely different taste), this is a noble bitterness inherent in some varieties of coffee. And not a trace of sourness, at all. What makes me incredibly happy - I do not love sour. The aftertaste is pretty mundane: just good coffee, without any flower / fruit / chocolate and other bouquets. Р

I have never met such coffee in America, I tried a small mug today for the first time, exquisite with a light chocolate taste, I really liked it. And its strong aroma immediately beckons to drink another cup. Bought 3 tins of it (2 of that one and 1 Oro)turns out the first one was delicious. The second and third one were opened! There was no sound of decompression from it when I opened it and the smell and taste were vile! I wanted a replacement or my money back but the Walmart website stated that I could not get either since the order online was too long ago?! Went to another store (not Walmart) and bought the "brick" version. Not only is it cheaper but you can actually see if it's still sealed from the look of the bag...

Serious misrepresentation should be withdrawn

The packaging is black and dark brown, the label says espresso, the intensity says 5. All this suggested great dark roast coffee. WRONG! Once you open the pack you'll find it's medium roast coffee. Now read the label again, its 5 out of 10! A huge 5 and a tiny ten. So how about calling Lavazza customer service to complain? You can't. Complete waste of money if you want espresso coffee - don't be fooled by the totally misleading packaging.

Smooth and full of Espresso Flavour

The perfect grind for my espresso machine and makes a brilliant flat white with its rich crema. All the depth of flavour you want and makes my morning every time! The decaf option is exceptionally good too and well worth a try. Excellent value and worth stocking up when on promotion

Stick to the red Lavazzza, this is bitter

I normally drink the Rossa (red) Lavazza, but saw this and gave it a try. Compared to the Rossa this black one is bitter to my taste. The grounds looks slightly darker i.e. more roasted. The flavour is marginally more intense, but seem to lack the depth of the red one. The dominant flavour is bitterness, similar to some high street coffee shops. I'm going back to the red!
