Lavazza Caffe Espresso Ground Coffee, 8-Ounce Cans (Pack of 3)

This is not the best coffee ever, but it is good enough to be my everyday cup of joe. I know this an Italian Expresso roast, but I’ve been grinding it medium-fine and brewing it in my Bunn coffeemaker. It’s been my daily driver for over a month now.It is medium roast and is fairly mild flavored for an Expresso roast. It is pretty tasty, though, and at this price, it’s about the same per ounce as ground Folgers classic roast. This tastes better than Folgers, plus it’s whole bean to boot. I’m not expecting a guy with a burro to come knocking on my door with a bag of freshly harvested and roasted coffee beans, but I would hope a decent sized company using Amazon’s distribution network could do a little better than 3 months between packaging and delivery. That said, I don’t notice a lot of stale taste.

I have never met such coffee in America, I tried a small mug today for the first time, exquisite with a light chocolate taste, I really liked it. And its strong aroma immediately beckons to drink another cup. Good but be aware.

Bag is not resealable. Grounds are espresso fine. They work in my moka pot but have to be careful not to over fill the funnel or it does not extract fully. Taste is great, more chocolate flavor than fruity to me. Manufacture date for my bag was four months ago. You will want to store this in a large 64oz canister if you worry about freshness. I am going to try the whole been version of this next time.

Perfect cup

medium roast coffee beans to make an perfect coffee at home. From the moment of smelling the beans upon opening the pack, grinding to making my at home coffee shoo experience. creates a lovely aromatic smooth cup of coffee. perfection. There was an offer on at time of purchase, which was great for stocking up on a large bag.

Perfect espresso

These coffee beans smell delicious even before grinding. I use an electric coffee grinder to get a smooth grind. Made a perfect espresso in my stove top moka pot. Lavazza coffee never disappoints this bean was not bitter, a bold flavour. It would be too strong if you like a mild coffee though. Comes in different size packs so you can try smaller pack before buying the good value 1kg packs.

Simply the best

A corny title (no doubt) but it's true. I'm a coffee addict. I'm sick to death of paying the high prices in coffee shops to be served a substandard brew so I've invested in a bean to cup machine and I'm definitely not looking back. Lavazza is my 'go to' brand. It is the best I've found and I've definitely wasted a great deal of time and money experimenting with other brands before happily settling. Consistently rich crema, bold aromas and outstanding flavour.

Too biter, too weak, too lemony and too acidic

I bought this thinking it was the the Lavazza espresso BARISTA (which is delicious, by the way,with its 9/10 intentisty and chocolate richness). This is awful! I don't even look forward to my coffee in the morning. And with small children and a book to write, I really need coffee. Maybe if you put milk in your coffee this isn't such a punishment to drink. Avoid if you drink black coffee and you want that classic and delicious full-bodied chocolatey coffee. Please, Waitrose, stock more - or perhaps just the better - variety.
