HiBy Digital M300 Pocketable Android Digital Audio Player

I really do like an allround player experience instead of using my phone. The sound quailty is on par with an old LG phone I once had, great but not amazing as some reviews will tell you. But there are drawbacks, the UI isn't as fluid as a phone and can feel very clunky. The UI is based on Android 13 so the very coarse volume gradutions really suck on this DAP; it is either too high or too low when on Bluetooth IEMs or cans. I tried third party sound apps but to no avail.

Great music player very fast well priced android based so have access to streaming services and play store.Battery life is good for my purpose, only real downside is its quite bulky for a dedicated music player.

A good budget DAP

The Hiby DAP is well built and for its price has a good set of features. The screen is bright and has good resolution. The music sounds good on my sony xb30 speakers via the blue connection and using LDAC. I tested using classical music - vocal and instrumental. Having LDAC is definitely a good feature. Have not tested with a wired connection. The interface is good and having a full fledged Android makes it easy to load apps for different uses. One of the main reasons I purchased this was that it has the ability to do Internet radio through Android apps. This facility was limited in the proprietary OS players.I am subtracting 1 star because the battery drains too quickly with wifi on. With wifi off it is fine.

Great Sounding Modern DAP !!

Wanted an dedicated DAP after my LG Quad DAC phone got conked. Using Iphone now & not satisfied with the Dongle DAC. After some research i came across this DAP from Hiby. For the price, it has a great sound and is well made. Sound is almost similar to LG. Build quality is good, runs Android 13 seamlessly & has good battery life. Some minor issues like no previous track button & no aptx support is now available after the update. (press play button twice for previous track). Thanks to Audio Store for swift delivery .

I tried hard to find something bad about this DAP.

Its been a week since i got the M300. I have not yet used it much. Build is at par with the sony a305 except for buttons haptics which felt bit cheap. I did not find anything better at this pricepoint.

Much better than my portable cassette player

My first digital music player and am loving it. instructions booklet is not complete for newbies, gives you the basic layout of buttons and ports for the M300 but will need to google more in-depth details of the programs and how to find them. It is a little small for my hands and I have to be careful when using the touch screen. It was easy to set up and adding streaming services was a snap. The sound is amazing. Use it in car and home stereo. My M300 came with 3.5 mm port and had to order adapters to connect to my other devices. Two thumbs up and two happy ears.

My Review

Extremely good budget music player, very cute looking and small in size - and very easy to operate this player. I recommend every music lover's to buy this product.

Problems found

Many apps only few times open. Often when open the apps, it will closed forcely. I tried so many times. They are not opened.

Sonically great, fluid interface but FM radio is mono

First the buying experience was nice. Support team had quick response to my queries and payment interface had no glitches and delivery in just more than a day!!Coming to the M300:Sound - Perfect. I have a FiiO M9 and wanted something that would sound smoother in the midrange for listening to Rock and Bollywood music. This has the right sound signature for mainstream music. There is MSEB and other eq options but never needed to use it. Drives my Sennheiser HD650 adequately.FM Radio: This was also one reason I bought this dap. Unfortunately FM is a disaster. It has poor reception and the FM although shows stereo on screen, has absolutely no channel separation. So it is effectively mono. My Sony Ericsson W8 walkman mobile does far better at FM with gorgeous stereo ... MoreFirst the buying experience was nice. My Sony Ericsson W8 walkman mobile does far better at FM with gorgeous stereo but it is 12 years old and will die soon.Interface - Quite fast and nice. But there are some glitches. After pausing a track, I have to hit play and any volume button to get it playing again. Also if I pause using earphone controls then it won't play again from there, have to use the player buttons to get it working. And the supplied earphones were far above my expectations, they sound really great.Overall recommended!!
