Lastly, I found that my makeup appeared slightly more textured after using this product overnight. I continued using the product for a couple of weeks thinking maybe my skin would adjust to it, but that never seemed to happen. Overall, I feel like the concept and purpose of this product is fantastic, but this particular item just isn’t for me and my skin. I do see how others could really love it if it is suitable for their skin.

I think it smells very off likely the squalane but over time it wasn’t as bad. I used this as the final step in my PM skin routine. It says it is for all skin types, vegan and it is non comedogenic which is great for my sensitive oily acne prone skin. They save 2 million sharks with their plant derived squalane too which is awesome. They also have instructions for recycling on the package and it includes a little insert with the instructions in many languages which I thought was inclusive. A lot of their packaging is a thick glass like feel but this one is a bit different/cheaper feeling. I do love the gold coating though on it it looks beautiful in my bathroom. Overall I think if you’re looking for something to specifically target your skin barrier you should give this a try.

I didn't have any irritation or adverse effects from this product either. With a cream so thick I typically worry about breakouts but this wasn't the case here. This product has ectoin supporters in it and that repairs cells in the face which is super amazing for me because I'm one of those people who wear their stress on their face. It was great for my skin in the cold winter weather of January, and definitely left my skin feeling well hydrated, protected from overnight water-loss, and soft. My skin barrier definitely felt nourished, and although it is a heavy, thicker formula, it never felt greasy. It is a night cream though, and does not “dry down” completely. It is very emollient. A little also goes a long way. I found after the first couple of nights that a pea sized amount was more than enough. Even when I used it with no other products, no toner, no serum, to test if it just wasn’t playing well with another formula, it still pills. I appreciate that it is not scented, while I don’t mind some scented skin care products, being unscented makes it more accessible to those with more sensitive skin.I absolutely enjoyed how this cream made my skin feel, and would recommend it someone with drier or combination skin looking for a heavier night treatment. The price point may be a barrier for some, but this little pot will last months with how little you need to use each night. I am maybe 1/3 of the way through the jar and I used it religiously for a month.
