Received this as a gift from my brother for Christmas, got a chance to break it out for the first time this month. Very pleased. Can't tell you how nice it is not to have to have a compressor running, or getting yelled at about leaving black scuff marks on anything from a compressor hose by the other half. Didn't experience any jams while rebuilding my fireplace surround, and the brads fire nicely below the surface without damaging the surface like most of my air nailers tend to do. Definitely recommend adding this one to your collection if you are on the fence.

This is the third unit I have owned. I would have bought another brand but they are too expensive. When these guns work they are great and essential for my work. Both my previous guns died in the same manner. Pulled the trigger and nothing but the smell of electrical smoke. Stone dead. Fellow workers that can afford them, have the brand that is all red. They last longer.

I do kitchen rejuvenation on my rental units, which includes renewing/refacing cabinets, coating countertops with epoxy, and installing LVP floors. I purchased the Ryobi cordless brad nailer to take the place of my usual Porter Cable compressor and nail gun. I used it today, and it seems to do the job. The only disappointment about the tool is that it takes a while to cycle (recharge) between the last brad nail and the next one. Otherwise, I am happy with this, since I can use the same 18+ battery packs with this tool, and it is definitely more convenient to bring to the job sites along with drill, saw, impact driver, and other tools, instead of having to bring the compressor, hose, and nailer - especially on those four floor walk ups!

I was skeptical about a battery powered brad nailer, but purchased the Ryobi P320 after reading all the reviews. Have shot about 200 2-inch-long 18ga brads so far (the max length this will handle), and it has performed flawlessly. I had to adjust the depth setting to get a sub-flush result, but it works great. Am nailing 1/2" thick red oak baseboards to drywall throughout the upstairs area of my home. This made the job much faster and easier; I hope the quality lasts through many other household projects. I can think of so many jobs I wish I'd gotten this for earlier! It's heavier than a pneumatic brad nailer, but I don't mind a little extra weight; it's not unwieldy, and that mass comes in handy when you want those brads to seat properly. Well balanced. I got the small (2.5AH) batteries to keep the bulk down when using; there is plenty of charge in those to last a long time. I can recommend this nail gun with confidence.
i was not really sure what to expect when i bought it, but this actually works. so nice to just go somewhere and nail something up without all the equipment that an regular air nailer needs. the unit has all of the necessary features for adjusting the strike force and the nail depth. works like a regular nailer excepting for the fact that you just need to wait for the unit to ramp up its strike force - it is like a little cycle that it goes through in order to set the nail, then you go onto the next nail that you want to set. i am surprisingly becoming quite a recent fan of Ryobi stuff. a friend told me that if you buy a HF 5-1/2" carbide blade for the Ryobi 18V circular saw, you can use it to cut metal really well. said that the way the teeth are cut on that blade ...Β Morei was not really sure what to expect when i bought it, but this actually works. so nice to just go somewhere and nail something up without all the equipment that an regular air nailer needs. the unit has all of the necessary features for adjusting the strike force and the nail depth. works like a regular nailer excepting for the fact that you just need to wait for the unit to ramp up its strike force - it is like a little cycle that it goes through in order to set the nail, then you go onto the next nail that you want to set. i am surprisingly becoming quite a recent fan of Ryobi stuff. a friend told me that if you buy a HF 5-1/2" carbide blade for the Ryobi 18V circular saw, you can use it to cut metal really well. said that the way the teeth are cut on that blade it can cut lots of metal for a long time and never get dull. i do a lot of welding, so i gave it a shot - and it works great. since then, i have been buying a lot of Ryobi stuff cuz the circular saw i bought on ebay came with other tools and they are all good usable stuff.
This brad nailer is perfect for all those trim jobs, baseboards and doors and windows. Perfect for a handyman and homeowner. I love this battery powered nailer rather than lugging the air compressor and hose around. It definitely is quieter as well. I have used it for fine art framing and trim and am very happy.
I've been using air brad nailers for the last few years. Most of the work I've done around the house only required 16 or 18 gauge nails, so I've stuck to air tools. I have also gotten used to having to fight with those, constantly having to adjust them, clearing out jammed nails, making sure that the pressure is good, etc. I never knew there was an alternative. Needless to say, I didn't have great expectations for this electric brad nailer. I know Ryobi makes great tools, but there are still some battery powered tools that don't perform well. This one definitely overcome my expectations. From the first nail I fell in love with it. The setup was extremely simple, no adjustment necessary. This one definitely overcome my expectations. From the first nail I fell in love with it. The setup was extremely simple, no adjustment necessary. I have gone through half a pack of nails and not a single nail got jammed. The airstrike is straight and true and the pressure is enough to drive a nail into a piece of solid wood without having to hammer it in. I didn't know I needed this, but this tool took an honorary spot in my toolbox.
Don't bother wasting money on this junk! I bought this after seeing a lot of diy'ers using it. There is a known issue with these Airstrikes and unfortunately, my issues didn't start until AFTER the warranty period. When the gun works, it's great. More often than not, it fails when you most need it (like when you're holding a piece of trim above your head trying to secure it in place after getting everything to fit perfectly!!!). I've tried everything that I've seen online to try to get it to fire reliably and can say that I've given up.
I bought this in August to install some trim. It fires about 6 nails and then quit. A firing noise happened but no nail came out. I cleaned and oiled the drive area and it started up again, but still with a few non-fires. I finished the job and put it away for the winter. Now the danged thing is doing it again. I fired about 12 nails and again it quit. I cleaned it, oiled it etc.....nope.....no nails :-P Save your money and buy a more reliable nailer!
Bought this a couple of days ago and used it immediately. Outside if the fact its a lot heavier than a pneumatic one, more bulkier, and slower. This nailer is awesome as long as you don't expect it to work like your air one ( if you have one) . Like most have said , working with this and not having to worry about an air line and a compressor is liberating. I have a feeling I'l be using this one now a lot more than my air one. It really is great for around the house
