I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. I have been wearing this product and testing it with other products in my routine to find the best wear. I have found i have the best luck with a very moisturized base and a radiant primer. I have normal skin with a lot of texture, this foundation clings to every patch without a proper prep/prime. I have other foundations that do not require a primer and look great on my skin and for that this foundation loses a star. However, I wore this foundation for over 14 hours and it looked just as good at the end as it did when i put it on. I did not have to refresh or touch up at all. I'm no longer a full beat every day kind of gal. However recently I've been dealing with quite a bit of redness and uneven skintone so when I was sent this to review I was hopeful! I've been leaning more towards tinted sunscreens so I thought this would feel too heavy. However when I put it on it provided full coverage while feeling completely weightless! A perfect daily foundation for oily girls!

I initially bought this as a special occasion foundation. It very quickly become a staple in my daily routine. Initially I wasn’t impressed with the shade range for Darker skin. I consider myself chocolate, but probably not much darker than a Kelly Rowland shade, with a warm/neutral undertone. My match turns out to be the darkest shade in this line. (I do not feel like the pictures on the website depict the true color, so please try it on in person). With that being said, if you are a deeper skinned woman, there is a good chance you will not find your shade in this line. I’m naturally oily but I find my make up looking Nice even after a 10 hour shift, when other foundations tend to get greasy or rub off by then. It does have a slight fragrance, but it is very mild and I don’t notice it after I have finished applying it to my face. Obviously the price point is not great for a daily foundation, but I would definitely buy it again.

Almost perfect

I really enjoyed using this foundation. It provides a nice (more matte than luminous imo) finish. I have rosacea and am always skeptical of the coverage a foundation will give me/if it will cover my redness. This did, however i am only giving it 4 stars because it took some building, but definitely can achieve full coverage. I just hate having to work for it a little more when i have only a few mins to get ready for work. Is it my favorite? No. But it did look nearly flawless on my textured skin. Glowy, full coverage and lightweight

I absolutely would recommend this foundation by YSL. It’s gives me full coverage with a perfect match to my skin tone. I tend to have redness and very visible pores and this has great coverage for both, for the full day and night. It’s very lightweight, only needing a light base to get good cover. I definitely feel like my face is more radiant/glowy. I love the addition of the hydro acid as it helps with absorption of peptides and helps keep my face hydrated as I’m prone to dry skin, especially in the winter. I also appreciate the built in SPF as that protection is invaluable and to be honest, I don’t like using a dedicated spf I would rather incorporate it into my make up and moisturizer. Gorgeous matte-finish foundation

As an oily skinned gal, I'm always on the hunt for a good mattifying foundation and bonus points when it has great coverage. This hit all of the marks except was a shade too warm for my skin tone. I should have gotten one of the neutral bases as this one was far too warm for my winter skin. I'm definitely going to try and grab the correct color for my winter skin tone because it plays beautifully with my primers (you do NOT need a mattifying primer under this.. it does the job haha) and the rest of my makeup when I'm doing a full face, but the color is just a little off. I'll definitely save it for the summer when hopefully it matches a little better with my overall coloring. Great Longwear foundation

I have very oily skin and I tend to lose my foundation through transfer and blotting away oil from my face throughout the day. This foundation lasted very long. I had worn it on an eventful Halloween night and woke up with my base still intact and no transfer on my pillow. I’ve worn it on Thanksgiving and it didn’t transfer on anyone’s shirts that I had given a hug. I do suggest trying to pick your correct shade because this was very difficult to blend in. I definitely plan to experiment with other primers besides the high grip one I used. I used a brush and tried a sponge. I preferred using a brush to blend though. If you are into dermaplaning your face to remove fine hairs then I suggest that. My foundation seemed to be stickier in those fuzzier spots. The old formula of this foundation I used for many years. It was THE PERFECT FOUNDATION….until they changed the formula. I hate the new formula. I also despise when brands cheapen their formula and therefore sabotaging the quality of a perfectly amazing product. There is nothing good to say about the new formula. Not one single pro. My new go-to foundation

I have moderate adult acne and redness, which both sometimes get somewhat severe, and this foundation truly helps cover that even by itself. Paired with primer and redness concealer, it worked almost perfectly. You could barely tell I had any breakouts. I always forget top apply sunscreen, so the SPF protection is perfect for me. I like the light fragrance. However, if you dislike scented facial products, you might want to skip this one. The scent isn't strong, but it is definitely noticeable while applying. This foundation has become my new favorite. No caking or flaking, great coverage, and it doesn't feel heavy or thick, definitely will buy this forever.

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!

Hands-down my new favorite foundation!! The first week of using it I was not loving it. I thought it was actually kind of drying UNTIL I stopped setting it with powder everyday. I have combination skin so I have NEVER been able to wear any foundation without setting powder and not look like a grease factory by the end of the day. I am amazed! Personally I find the coverage to be medium coverage but fairly buildable. It doesn’t quite completely cover some of my acne scars so some days I have to use concealer for full coverage. However, it really does last all day with zero touch-ups! It gives the most beautiful glowy yet not shiny finish and for my skin wears perfectly without setting powder. I will absolutely be purchasing a replacement bottle when I run out!
