Reasonably good for gluten free. I am not gluten intolerant but I do like a burger bun so was happy to try these. As far as gluten products go, they were reasonably good in that they held together pretty well (other gluten products I have tried in the past have tended to fall apart quite easily). They were nice and soft, although a little thin, so slicing them in half to build my burger on was a bit of a challenge. I do agree with other Bunchees about being disappointed that they were thawed from frozen and couldn't be re-frozen. As a person that lives on my own, it meant I had burgers three nights running. On the fourth night, I tried making garlic bread out of the remaining bun. It wasn't the best option, as the bun felt soft and soggy after I pulled it out of the ... MoreReasonably good for gluten free. I can't see myself buying them again (I'll stick to normal hamburger buns in future) but I think they are a good option for people who are gluten intolerant.

Winner on Taste and Texture. These Woolworths Free From Gluten White Burger Buns were easy to locate in the bread department with all the other GF products (side note: isn’t there a great range these days ! Bagels seem popular !). My mother-in-law often remarks on how difficult it can be to find a tasty GF bread/buns; so I was eager to get her opinion on these ! I first noticed how light and fluffy these buns were and she lIke’s that they didn’t crumble like others can. We toasted a couple and topped with jam and honey - delicious . Overall, a winner on taste and texture! Only $1. 25 per bun which we thought was quite reasonable too! Made in Australia . Gets 5 stars .

Terrible Buns. They seamed to be squashed and when sliced to thin to use as burger buns. The buns were dry and tasteless. The wrapping very hard to open. Very disappointed with this product. They had been frozen and thawed to put in the fresh bread section !If you want frozen rolls or buns you would buy frozen and it should be clearly shown on packaging not in small print. (I do freeze bread rolls. )I had trouble finding these in my local store asked staff on two different occasions and told two different answer's to find them. I found them at the end of a fresh bread section on there own. Like someone had just thrown in there because they didn't no where to put them.

Not sure how to rate this product. I'm conflicted about this product because I am neither coeliac nor gluten intolerant but I do avoid gluten where possible as a matter of personal choice. On the downside, the list of unappetizing ingredients (including vegetable gums, humectant and preservative) is a turn-off. Furthermore, the fact that this product is manufactured, frozen, defrosted and then sold to the customer is a really big turn-off. (It's in the fine print on the packet. ) Finally, the fact that only 45% of ingredients are Australian is the nail in the coffin for me. However, on the upside, I understand how important it is to have gluten free products freely available, so when hamburgers are on the menu, the coeliac/gluten intolerant person doesn't feel left ... MoreNot sure how to rate this product. Disappointingly dry. Used these gluten-free (GF) buns for a burger dinner. Before putting the burgers on to it, I decided to try a bit and it was terrible. It was very dry, had poor texture and tasted like it was under/overcooked. Even toasting and adding butter still didn't save it. Using them as burger buns just ruined the whole burger. These GF buns are not at all like normal bread buns, nowhere near the same texture, moistness and flavour. I would never recommend this product and Woolworths needs to have a good look at this product and try to figure out what has gone wrong here. I feel sorry for the people that need GF burger buns but this is the only product avalible.
Not a fan at all. We have no gluten issues and are unable to compare this to similar products, we can only compare to our regular bread or buns. First impression was that they seemed very flat in the package, the packaging did seal the product well but the buns were stuck to the plastic and difficult to remove. We added some butter, hot chips and sauce for a nice cheeky lunch but these buns were terribly dry although they were nice and soft. Definitely would not purchase these but then again a comparable gluten free product could be compared with completely different results. If you require gluten free products try these for yourself rather than relying on these reviews.
Nearly not 'gluten-free'-like! I didn't have high expectations to be honest when it comes to gluten free, but was pleasantly surprised by these. We had chicken shnitty burgers using these and they actually nearly couldn't be distinguished from regular buns except for a few points:- They don't have the same spring back, as the tops crack and don't really bounce- They have a slightly different, almost gummy like mouth feel, kind of like chewing on compressed white bread- Its a bit dry, and more crumbly. These points are easily explained by the fact the formulation is mostly tapioca and rice flour, so you will get the gummy from the tapica, and the dry cracking from the rice flour. But that said, in a burger combo, load up with juicy insides, mayo/sauce, patty, you ... MoreNearly not 'gluten-free'-like! Very tasty. I was very happy to receive these in my bunch box as our daughter is gluten free. I was sceptical as GF products can often be dry and crumbly. These burger buns were delicious, they had a taste similar to sourdough which we loved. They were soft and fluffy and held their shape beautifully. I enjoyed these much more than some popular store bought burger buns from well known brands. We made chicken burgers with Woolworths Cook chicken burger patties with zucchini and fetta, and each of us added our chosen salads and sauces to the lightly toasted burger bun. They were devoured by both adults and children which is always a win!4 in a pack for $5 is a reasonable price I think. Made in Australia from at least 45% Australian ingredients. The only reason I removed 1 star is because the packaging ends up in the bin which I just find unacceptable in this day and age. I will definetly be buying these again on a regular basis!
Quite a sweet bun. I’m not gluten intolerant so have no need to buy gluten-free products at a premium. I was disappointed to see they were thawed from frozen and could not be re-frozen. As I’m on my own, it meant I had to eat a burger-style meal four days in a row. I would much prefer to have one and freeze the rest for later. It would be better if you could actually purchase the burger buns frozen and pop them straight into the freezer On returning home from the supermarket on returning home from the supermarket. I’ m not really much of a burger person anyway, but I cooked a chicken schnitzel and some sweet and sour cabbage for two of the rolls, One with minute steak and the other with egg. I found the buns to be quite sweet, almost like a brioche and a bit doughy. ... MoreQuite a sweet bun. I’m not gluten intolerant so have no need to buy gluten-free products at a premium. Good gluten free alternative. Easy to find in store and packaging allows you to see what you are buying. Easy to open however packaging is not suitable for recycling. Smell nice but feel a bit sticky in comparison to non gluten free buns. Easy to slice in half ready for toasting. Toasted well for hamburger. We had chicken burgers with salad and the taste was great. The buns held up well throughout the full eating experience. I like that they weren’t too thick and I liked the consistency. We glad wrapped the remainder of the buns and kept them in the fridge until the following evening. They were just as good the next day. Noted that these buns have already been frozen and are not suitable to refreeze at home. I suppose that’s not a huge issue as there are only 4 in ... MoreGood gluten free alternative.
