Wilson adds another chapter to the Ultra 100. Like the previous generation, this racquet packs a 318 gram strung weight and a powerful beam construction. It's also very maneuverable, giving it an appeal that extends from recreational players and weekend warriors all the way to intermediate league players. According to Wilson, this racquet's power comes from three strategic enhancements. It starts with less racquet twisting at impact (stability), which is achieved by combining a Power Rib construction in the shaft with an integrated Perimeter Weight System in the head. These features are complemented by Sweetspot Channels at 3/9 o'clock which lengthen the cross strings for greater energy return. From the baseline the Ultra 100 feels crisp and lively, and it has enough spin-potential to bring the ball down effectively. Although it lacks the plow through and mass-based pop of a traditionally weighted player's racquet, this racquet's easy acceleration will help you scramble on defense or crank winners on the run. The speed continues at net where the Ultra 100 comes around very fast, making it great on reaction volleys. This racquet also shines on serve where it whips powerfully through contact to deliver easy targeting. With this update, Wilson has created a speedy weapon with user-friendly access to pace and spin. Given its firm construction, Tennis Warehouse recommends using a multifilament or soft co-poly to help with impact shock.

Wilson Ultra 100 v3.0 Tennis Racquet - 3

bounces off smoothly when returning the ball after a power hit you don’t feel the aftershocks. Only giving a 4 because the grip is ok for people that have sweaty hands and also my other Wilson racket which is cheaper has better grip compared to this one. The plus is the no aftershock feel and also better wide range of the racket to cover more area

It's a very nice, somewhat affordable racquet. I love the colours which I found got me to buy it but I would rather it was heavier just because of personal preference.

I purchased the new Ultra 100 thinking Wilson may have taken the Ultra Countervail and made it better, but they made it lighter and cheaper feeling. I will no longer purchase without first a demo of the racket.

This racquet has made me into a better player. I find it easier to get depth with my shots and it makes it harder for my opponent to return my balls. It's lightweight, has a nice fit and feel in your hands. Even when you are scrambling on the court, just getting your racquet on the ball can make a play to keep you in the point. I highly recommend this racquet for intermediate and recreational players.
Good racquet - lightweight and 'ping's' the ball without too much effort. Only downside is that after using the racquet on 5 occasions, the grip tape is already getting loose and peeling off, which is disappointing seeing as the price of the racquet is quite steep - so be prepared to spend extra on tape. No problems with the racquet head.
I demoed the new 108 Ultra this morning as a possible teaching racquet and it’s perfect; light, responsive and great PORs (Pop Off the Racquet Sound) and best of all.... nice durable high gloss finish (frame color and graphics are very cool, understated with classic design). ; )The new Ultra line should easily withstand being repeatedly set on a metal ball carts, leaned against fences and nets as we collect balls and do drills and all the other little things that create nicks picked up when working with JR’s and beginners. Most of all, the new Ultra is a racquet I’d confidently hand to a student or other players to try out knowing that the fit and finish are of the highest quality and look great!Nice work Wilson R&D and Product Development Team!
The racket is amazing for its price and great for a leisure hit with mates. It is light weight and provides good control. Incredible customer service despite being in lockdown too! Managed to collect it within the same day of ordering.
I've used the Ultra 100 v2 for the last couple of years and quite like the mixture of power and control. The v3 is a definite improvement of the previous version. The slightly beefier frame and larger head size makes handling the low hard stuff on the baseline a good deal easier. I have it strung at 55 with Wilson NXT 17 which gives good feel but with adequate pop. Highly recommend for players who lean towards head-light sticks.
Great product, light with good response and attack. Good balance, with good tension in the strings, which reduces shock in the arm and good control of ball placement. The sales person knew what he was talking about.
I bought this racquet for my wife who hasn’t played tennis in years. She’s really enjoyed getting back into playing and this racquet is perfect for beginners. The only downside is the poor quality head cover the cheaper racquets come with.
