Wilson adds another chapter to the Ultra 100. Like the previous generation, this racquet packs a 318 gram strung weight and a powerful beam construction. It's also very maneuverable, giving it an appeal that extends from recreational players and weekend warriors all the way to intermediate league players. According to Wilson, this racquet's power comes from three strategic enhancements. It starts with less racquet twisting at impact (stability), which is achieved by combining a Power Rib construction in the shaft with an integrated Perimeter Weight System in the head. These features are complemented by Sweetspot Channels at 3/9 o'clock which lengthen the cross strings for greater energy return. From the baseline the Ultra 100 feels crisp and lively, and it has enough spin-potential to bring the ball down effectively. Although it lacks the plow through and mass-based pop of a traditionally weighted player's racquet, this racquet's easy acceleration will help you scramble on defense or crank winners on the run. The speed continues at net where the Ultra 100 comes around very fast, making it great on reaction volleys. This racquet also shines on serve where it whips powerfully through contact to deliver easy targeting. With this update, Wilson has created a speedy weapon with user-friendly access to pace and spin. Given its firm construction, Tennis Warehouse recommends using a multifilament or soft co-poly to help with impact shock.

Wilson Ultra 100 v3.0 Tennis Racquet - 2

I purchased the new Ultra 100 thinking Wilson may have taken the Ultra Countervail and made it better, but they made it lighter and cheaper feeling. I will no longer purchase without first a demo of the racket.

This racquet has made me into a better player. I find it easier to get depth with my shots and it makes it harder for my opponent to return my balls. It's lightweight, has a nice fit and feel in your hands. Even when you are scrambling on the court, just getting your racquet on the ball can make a play to keep you in the point. I highly recommend this racquet for intermediate and recreational players.

Bought this for my 9-years old daughter, who has trained regularly for more than three years. This is her first 27" racquet. With light weight and head light balance, she feels very comfortable in swing, without much more efforts than her 26". Highly suggest as a first adult racquet for young junior players.

This is an older version of the Ultra racquet, but plays well. Good power. Would recommend for the price.
As a 70 years old short and skinny guy, I want to try a light and stiff racquet to see if it can improve my overall performance. After a month of playing with the Wilson UL 100, I am going back to my old and heavier Prince extender thunder 880 pl.
Love love love this racquet, It's not to heavy and not to light. It's just perfect. I am not very strong, but this gave me the lightweight with some power behind the hit. Liked it so much purchased a second.
I demoed the new 108 Ultra this morning as a possible teaching racquet and itβs perfect; light, responsive and great PORs (Pop Off the Racquet Sound) and best of all.... nice durable high gloss finish (frame color and graphics are very cool, understated with classic design). ; )The new Ultra line should easily withstand being repeatedly set on a metal ball carts, leaned against fences and nets as we collect balls and do drills and all the other little things that create nicks picked up when working with JRβs and beginners. Most of all, the new Ultra is a racquet Iβd confidently hand to a student or other players to try out knowing that the fit and finish are of the highest quality and look great!Nice work Wilson R&D and Product Development Team!
Great racquet from all areas of the court. Powerful groundies! Even with high stiffness rating it is easy on my arm! Strung with Volkl Cyclone @ 52lbs. Awesome cosmetic...thx Wilson for another gem!
I'm between a beginner and intermediate and was looking to improve my game with a better racquet. After going through various ones including the lower price heads which gave me arm issues, decided to go all out with a higher quality wilson. The specs are write on with a good sized head for a nice sweet spot. Also light and very powerful. I strung with wilson nxt soft which provides even more vibration absorption. No issues with arm and feels good on contact. If looking for a higher quality racquet with great control, power, and no to little vibration, I definitely recommend. My game is already improving...
Great stick! Very satisfied! Free stringing service when buying both racquet and strings is nice too. So much power! Played with it the first time today and was bombing my first serves. And the racquet is stiff, but comfortable with the strings I got.
