On the other hand, the Reamer, Puncher is kinda hard to open as well, it often broke parts of my finger nail. For such a dangerous tool, you should make it slightly looser for easier open. I decided to purchase this knife. It’s well worth the money... & it’s a solid knife. The blade locks, which I like a lot... & it has a sizable saw. I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase of the Outrider. Thanks, Victorinox... you’ve made a great product with this one.

This one is the perfect size and feels great in the hand, and the toolset is akin to the huntsman. I went an cut a stick and what found was, this thing has amazing cutting power. Absolutely at home in the woods, around town, and around the house. If you ( like me ) have been somewhat let down by a 91mm model before, trust me when I say this a whole other animal. Every tool on this one is useful and does it's job well. Can't recommend it enough.

A really great Swiss army knife. This one is a bit larger than the regular product and has a locking blade. The scissors are very handy and sharp. I have even used the saw blade to cut up small trees blocking cycle paths. Be aware that this type of knife is illegal in England, and maybe other countries as well I believe it is because of the locking blade, which I find very hard to understand.
Excellent quality as you would expect from Victorinox and great design overall. I would give this knife a 5 star rating, however, I didn’t realise that the way in which it is designed, requires you to open the scissors before you can get the cross head screw driver out. Likewise you can not close the screw driver with the scissors already closed in the knife body. This is really quite clunky and not the simplest of actions that I would expect from Victorinox. If I had known this I would have possibly bought a different model.

Those tools are good enough for everyday usage: sharp, though, etc. You could make it more practical if you buy the mini screwdriver. However, ii would be perfect if it had some other features. I have the trekker which is a little bare bones, the swisschamp which is an awesome collection of if you don't need a lot of knife and the farmer x alox which is my casual pocket knife and the most attractive. For me I love the outrider for the in line Phillips head, the scissors, the large locking blade and the locking screwdriver with the saw being the only tool I'll very rarely use. It came down to this and the skipper but I use the scissors 10 to 1 over the pliers. If they would replace the saw that I'll probably never use with the pliers on the outrider it would be perfect! A larger Swiss Army Knife with a locking blade and a varied and useful tool selection. This is the older model with the slide lock and not the newer liner lock. Quality is excellent as you would expect from Victorinox who give a lifetime warranty on their knives.
The up-side: It has the best-compromise array of tools for my purposes. From my viewpoint, the locking blade is a must-have on any folding knife. Someone else might prefer a different combination, but that's why Victorinox makes more than one style. The downside: The main blade is OK steel, but seems a little flimsy. A few thousandths thicker with a saber grind would make me a bit more comfortable about putting pressure on it.
