And Yes, I would recommend them to anyone who demands critical reliability.

Imagine ordering a toy and the description states "batteries included" and the package comes with AAA batteries, but the toy needs AA batteries... The batteries included are worthless. I ordered a QXD memory card for a camera as the description states "card reader included". However, the card reader that comes with the bundle was an SD card reader and cannot work with a QXD card. What the point of that - to force the customer to make another purchase to use the card... When I contacted the company about this, their response was basically "Gee, too bad for you..." I will not purchase from Focus Camera again.

Gets the Job Done, But Not Exactly Thrilled
9 July 2019

An XQD card is needed for my D850 if I want to utilize both card slots so I bit the bullet and, grudgingly, shelled out the money for one. My biggest complaint, aside from the cost, was seeing 56GB of usable space on this "64GB" card. I know formatting reduces card capacity and I understand the numbers game about what, exactly, constitutes a "gigabyte" but jeez, that's a full 8GB, or 15%, "missing". Further, while the read/write speeds are quite good, at least when compared to my SDXC cards, don't expect to see transfers anywhere near the rated 400MB/s... Not even. The card seems pretty well built but a little flimsy to me at the same time somehow. I guess I was just expecting something a little more substantial feeling considering the increased bulk and cost.

I liked SD cards better.
17 July 2021

First time purchasing a XQD card. It is required in my new mirrorless camera. I am not a huge fan. It is expensive and I really liked my SD cards better. I had to buy a special adapter for my computers to be able to view files and I have learned XQD is going obsolete already. CFExpress cards are replacing them. However CFExpress cards are even more expensive and very difficult to find as well. If you can afford it, just get the CFExpress card now, so you don't end up buying them both as soon this will be obsolete.

Love the extra space.
19 May 2022

I bought a slightly used (less than 500 shutter clicks) Nikon D500 from B+H in Feb. 2022. This is the first time I have had a camera that could use XQD cards. The price initially stopped me from taking the plunge, but after waiting impatiently for several hundred Raw files to download I bought my first 64GB XQD card. When the 120GB went on sale recently, it was a no-brainer to have the extra capacity. Just wish Nikon had two XQD slots in the D500. When I am out photographing for the day and have several hundred photos to download, I want to see them ASAP. Plus the XQD cards are much sturdier than the flimsy SD cards.

Needed larger card
18 March 2023

I use the XQD cards in my Nikon D850. I shoot fast action dog sports for my business and needed to expand my XQD card collection. I shot over 4000 photos from a 4-day competition. Up until now I've just used 64GB cards but I nearly ran out of space so since they were on sale I opted for the larger 120GB. In June I will be doing a 5 day competition. These Sony cards work well for me. This card seems to work as well as the smaller cards.

Sony XQD 64GB Card

The Sony XQD 64 GB memory card is an excellent card for reliability, read and write speeds, and quality. As this is a Sony product I know the quality is there as well as the reliability. This is not my first Sony XQD card and it won't be the last (Hopefully, but you never know what's around the bend). 64 GB capacity was chosen in this case specifically for the price point. Sony XQD cards are not cheap by any definition of the word. After using the card for storing 45MP photos taken with my Nikon Z7, and recording 4k 30FPS video, the Sony has not disappointed in its performance. Works great, market price, but....
25 November 2018

I bought this card to take advantage of the XQD slot in my D500. I like two cards and this is what the camera uses. Im traveling and taking once-in-a-lifetime pictures, so two cards seems pretty important. If I still had my D7200, Id just use two SD cards. The card is clearly high quality, works great, I'm glad I have it. But. Like all new memory products, its way over priced this early in its market history. In two years it will be about 25% of what it costs now. Which is probably about right. So for now they've got us. If you think you need one bad enough to pay the price, you will, and you wont be disappointed. If you dont really need it, then Id say wait until the price comes down. So Im not happy about it - more like stuck with it. But it works. So....three stars.

Yes it's expensive but the only game in town for now (early 2019)

With Lexar out of the XQD business, Sony is now the only game in town. As the owner of a Nikon D500 and a new Z6 mirrorless, an XQD card is required to get the best performance out of the camera. On the Z6 it's the only card it supports.Zero issues at all with the performance of this Sony card on either camera. I'm also able to use the last generation Lexar XQD card reader to copy files off this card.If you're not in a rush, keep an eye out for random $50 off promotions on this 120GB card. With $50 off, it still not exactly a bargain but worth it compared to the $120 or so for the 64GB version. On the Z6 (24MP) I can easily get over 2000 shots on a single card using compressed RAW files.
