This honestly should be illegal. With many newer games seeing a 10% performance difference from 2 dual rank sticks over 2 single rank sticks (and some applications being impacted even more than that) this should be considered a different product. For example, if this RAM was actually DDR4-3000 but sold as DDR4-3200, that would probably be illegal, but that would actually have a smaller performance difference in some applications than going from dual rank to single rank on only 2 sticks of memory. Thanks a lot G.SKILL for letting half the data pins on my sticks do literally nothing. This would be fine on a desktop with 4 RAM slots as it could use the data pins on a different stick while it waits for data on another stick on the same channel. Was going to go with a Crucial 2x16GB kit, but saw these on a lightning sale for just a little more. Didn't see any shots of the 32GB sticks being dual ranked, but took the risk seeing that the 16GB sticks were dual rank. It paid off - confirmed that the 32GB sticks are dual ranked. Previously had 2x8GB single tank sticks with the Same timing. Saw a notable jump in CPU score in 3D Mark (7300 to 9100) from that change alone. Big jump in write and copy speeds, nominal bump in read speeds just slightly above margin of error. I use this system for music/studio work and not gaming, so I don't really have any before/after benchmarks for that, but there's plenty of articles out there that show decent gains for dual rank, especially with Ryzen.

Awesome! Super snappy response times in everything I do.

This was one of the only recommended brands for upgrading my Gigabyte Aero 15x v8 laptop. It came with a single 16gb stick of Kingston RAM, which worked great, but not quite enough for my needs, i.e. video editing, photo editing, coding, gaming, firefox with 100+ tabs open, etc... lol. I read a lot of stories of struggle by others with this laptop who tried to find a second RAM stick that would work with their existing one, some with bad results, and most with mixed results (RAM ran slower, etc). I swapped out the original stick for this pair, turned it on and it immediately booted and fully recognized the new set at full speed and capacity, no problem at all. I am extremely pleased with it! Been using it for 2 weeks now, all is well. I'm glad I went with these!

Buy G Skill.

I've used several brands of memory cards and G Skill Ripjaw is right up there with the best of them. Affordable without all the weird colors and plastic molding, simple basic design and they work great. Leave the sticker on as it's a heat sink and helps remove excess heat from the memory chips. A small external auxiliary fan always helps for serious computer nuts, I never understood all the colors and flashing lights with computer components when the actions on the display screen.

Stopped working the day after it was installed
7 June 2022

Purchasing this has caused me so much stress an agony. When I first installed the ram sticks, it all seemed fine at first and was functioning normally. The day afterward, for whatever reason, the ram stick malfunctioned, and my laptop just went black. When I tried to turn on the computer, it would just enter a loop of getting errors and automatically restarting over and over again. Switching out the ram sticks back to the old one didn't solve the issue either. Apparently, these ram sticks corrupted the data on my SSD. I then had to restore my laptop back to an old save state just so I can use my laptop again. This whole process of having issues and trying to search for answers took many days and its only now that I finally got my laptop to work again that I wrote ... MorePurchasing this has caused me so much stress an agony. Will not work in at Atari VCS at 3200 MHz
14 January 2022

I have an Atari VCS console from Dec 2020 where G.Skill Ripjaws works fine, BUT I got second console in Dec 2021 and even the the part number was the same for the G.Skill memory (and specs) it would not work. I know that my newer Atari VCS is the issue because when took this new set of G.Skill the memory out my other Atari VCS and put in the new one it booted without issue. G.Skill sells it it as the exact same part number as my first set (same part, same UPC, same specs), but it isn't the same as the stock they sold in Dec 2020. I think G.Skill changed parts for something cheaper in the year since the set I got for my backer unit (probably because of COVID shortages and they got some cheaper components). Apparently the Atari VCS MB has a fail safe mode that when memory doesn't work it will use the default values regardless of what the setting are you have. After setting the timing the Atari VCS goes to full fans on next boot and will not boot. Then when then you unplug the power and plug back in again you can boot. The BIOS will show you setting but when you run CPUID you will see that the memory is only at 2400Mhz and task manager shows only 2 GB allocated regardless of what you have in the BIOS. Do yourself a favor and by the TEAMGROUP Elite DDR4 32GB Kit (TED432G3200C22DC-S01) memory.
