Easy to use. Large embroidery area. Max speed is 800 stitches per min, but dont use full speed if you are using cheap thread as it will break. Accessories can be expensive. Unlike Brother, there isnt many aftermarket parts. 80mm hoop can cost over $100 if you get it from Singer. The hoop that comes with the machine is very fragile, it costs $60 from Singer or $39 for aftermarket one. So dont break it.

I was bought this machine for Christmas, and didn't use it until February, the presser foot keeps coming off and jamming the machine unless I hold it in place with the stylus. I contacted Spotlight explaining this and as I don't have access to a local store I explained I bought it online. They constantly tell me to take it back into store and offer no assistance . Good machine but don't buy from spotlight. All I needed replacing was the ankle and presser foot, I sent pictures but no help offered.

I recently Bought this machine as on paper it seemed to be a great home embroidery machine.The machine came with advertising for ‘free’ basic mysewnet program.Firstly, the free ‘basic’ subscription doesn’t actually allow you to create any files for your machine and secondly the paid subscriptions to actually use the program aren’t even available in Australia, only in US and Canada.
This is not as fully featured as other machines but still a great choice for beginners, I am loving creating my own designs with free software and trying them out. Occasional thread breakages which you get with any embroidery machine. Lots of features packed into this, I discover more every time I use it! Attached is my first multi component design which was not too difficult thanks to the design placement function. It doesn't have a laser sight or top down camera to help with design placement but I think for beginners it's an insanely great value machine.
I am learning all the beautiful things my new machine can do, I have been overjoyed with everything I’ve learned and I am now ready to make my first quilt.
