Picture suddenly goes black in top 2/3 of screen and then the TV reboots. Like many other reviewers, I only purchased this a little over 2.5 years ago. Ridiculously short lifespan from what was once considered a premium brand. Will NOT be purchasing another Samsung product if this is what I can expect from them.

Like quite a few reviews here, the TV stopped working after about 2 and a half years. A television that was bought at a high price with the assumption that it is a quality product from a company that respects itself and its customers. I have the invoice. It started with black areas on the screen and quickly progressed to the TV turning itself off and on and then after a few days the screen just went black. In light of the amount of reviews here that indicate a similar problem, it seems that the product left the factory in poor quality. Be careful to take a risk and buy this product. More than anything, the answer from the delegation in Israel is disappointing. that there is no warranty on the product and there is no way to fix it, nor to give any offer for a ... MoreLike quite a few reviews here, the TV stopped working after about 2 and a half years. It is a shame that a company of your size underestimates its customers and does not take responsibility when it knows that there is a problem with the product and that a quality TV should not break down after 2 and a half years but should serve the customer for many years. I will never buy or recommend your products again shame shame shame on you. Very disappointed customer.

Like a number of other people on the site, my TV has died after 2.5 years. It is turning on and off, I can still hear the sound but no picture. I can not do a factory reboot as it does not stay on lone enough to allow you to get to the right screen. Going around and around with customer service and getting no where. This TV is in a house that is only used for holidays, so it has not had a lot of use. Not good enough to die after this period of time. Based on the other reviews this is clearly a common fault with the TV and Samsung should be replacing the TV.
I bought this TV 3 years ago and I am experiencing the same fault as others. The TV screen is black but the audio seems to be working and it is continually turning off and on. By the look of the other reviews it is clearly a common fault on this model. I'm really disappointed and will be telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung television. I have contacted a few authorised repair centres and they are prohibitively expensive. A 3 year old TV should not break like this! I would have thought Samsung would help to repair or replace a clearly faulty TV!
I bought this 50 inch 8 series tv only two years and two months ago! It has suddenly started to turn off and on by itself. When it is on I can only watch tv for about 5 seconds and the screen only shows the top left and bottom right edges, then turns black, and the on / off cycle repeats. From the reviews on the Samsung site, it appears this is a common problem. Obviously, the Vietnam manufacturing quality is just good enough for the 1 year warranty but now damaging the brand reputation.I've been a LONG time Samsung customer and this TV is definitely the worst one I've bought! (PS: The 16 year old Samsung TV is still working...)
A 65" 2021 Smart TV & it doesn't record, even my $300 buck Big W TV does.It does not have picture in picture, even my $300 buck Big W TV does.It is 1 year old to the month & it still has sound issues with the volume raising and lowering constantly. I had to remove the legs and get a heavy duty stand to hold it up securely because the fan nearly toppled it over. The picture has lost its sharpness & the colours are no longer vivid. It's a terrible thrown together TV & it's definitely not all that smart. And you have to put up with all the adds it displays when you look for your streaming providers. It's in-house Free TV is a Crock as well, it's just a constant barrage of self promoting adds & it's always between shows.Never again MR Samsung, you have lost me ... MoreA 65" 2021 Smart TV & it doesn't record, even my $300 buck Big W TV does.It does not have picture in picture, even my $300 buck Big W TV does.It is 1 year old to the month & it still has sound issues with the volume raising and lowering constantly. The TU8000 Crystal UHD is a great TV that has many great features. The TV has the Tizen TV Operating System which is is very easy to use and has intuitive features, one of my favorite features of the TU8000 is the voice assistants which are Amazon Alexa and Bixby which is easy to use and helps with anything. Another very useful feature is Ambient Mode which has beautiful backgrounds that can be turned on via the TV Remote, and play music through your phone. Then there is the Internet feature that you can access websites. The TV is also very fast at loading up the TV apps and you can download apps very quickly. The speakers deliver great sound quality and give a high amount of bass and the treble is slightly lower but is balanced. The resolution of the TV is 4K and the clarity and crispness are very high level and any image or video is very high quality for the form factor of this TV. The Design of the TV is very minimalistic yet it has a design with a bold and sharp look to it. The Bezels on the TV are very thin with a high screen to body ration. The TV also has a thin shape and is very easy to carry. The TV has two legs which are plastic but hold together very well, although I believe the TV legs should have been made of a stronger material like metal. But the overall design is a very key part of this TV and it is quite impressive with this TV. In terms of value. I believe this is an affordable and great quality TV with great features.
We love our new 75 inch TV. We decided to go with the cheaper crystal uhd version rather than a QLED, because we thought a bigger screen size would make more of a difference to us day to day than a better screen technology. The big screen is absolutely massive, but it's surprising how quickly my brain got used to the new size. The picture is bright and super crisp when viewing 4k or even regular 1080p content. There's a couple of little things that I think stop this tv from earning a full five stars. Firstly, none of the apps seem to have a way to make the content fill the screen, to avoid blank bars on the top and bottom when watching wide-screen content. Secondly, when the screen is mostly black and the room is dark, I can see an unevenness in the screen ... MoreWe love our new 75 inch TV. Firstly, none of the apps seem to have a way to make the content fill the screen, to avoid blank bars on the top and bottom when watching wide-screen content. Secondly, when the screen is mostly black and the room is dark, I can see an unevenness in the screen backlight. This isn't visible when there is content showing on the screen though. The smart features are what really makes the experience stand out for me. Or previous tv was a standard "dumb" TV which we just kept a chromecast plugged into. Being able to do things like turn on this TV with our phones or both be able to control it regardless of where the remote is, is really convenient. And the apps allow us to access content from sources we otherwise couldn't. For example I use an Android phone so can't access the Apple TV app, but I was able to log in to Apple TV on the Samsung smart tv and I purchased a movie bundle for half the price that it was on the google play store.I was concerned that things like colour or viewing angle would be compromised if I got this instead of the QLED, but I'm so happy with the picture quality that this provides.Overall this is a great TV and my biggest gripe is the letterboxing, which I think could be fixed in a future software update.
Coming from a 720p LCD TV to this TU8000 UHD is a massive improvement. The colour and clarity are great. The sound quality is great, clear, has good low/mid frequency response, not a deep bass, but enough to give the sound that depth you want. Being a LCD LED television you don’t get those deep blacks, but it is still quite good.As with modern TVs they run at 60Hz so they practically double the frame rate of a standard 24 or 30fps tv/movie, giving that overly smooth and abnormal soap opera effect (some would call them artefacts). This is fixed by adjusting the Judder Reduction setting to around ‘3’ and setting the Noise Reduction to Auto. One other little perk is the ambient mode, which we used for a birthday party, upload a wallpaper and you have a visual ... MoreComing from a 720p LCD TV to this TU8000 UHD is a massive improvement. Or if you like to live stream, this would make a great digital poster in the background for self promotion. This can be done through the Smart Things app which you download to use as a sort of remote for your TV, but can add your own photos, wallapers using this app.Adding apps for streaming is a breeze and well intergrated. Apple TV is already factory installed. Accessing AirPlay for screen mirroring from your iDevice is a breeze and works very well. The screen to body ratio is very good with very thin bezels. A very sleek design which Samsung is known for.If you are looking for a well equipped TV for under $1000 that works and looks great, this is one you would consider.
