Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX are trail running shoes designed for wet and muddy terrain, lighter than previous versions and developed to provide more effective ground contact and rapid mud shedding. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane protects against the elements, while the redesigned upper retains the characteristic comfort of the SPEEDCROSS range. The Mud Contagrip sole uses deep, pointed 5 mm lugs designed to provide high levels of grip on loose, soft, rugged and uneven terrain. The EnergyCell + midsole offers high energy return, cushioning and durability. The cushioning is soft and protective, foot support is neutral and the level of protection is high. The upper combines synthetic material and fabric, with close-fitting debris-resistant mesh and Ripstop fabric reinforced against rips, tears and abrasion. The quickLACE system uses a minimalist, robust lace with one-pull adjustment to make the shoe easy to put on and take off. The footbed and lining are fabric, while the sole is rubber. Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX have a stack height of 23 mm at the forefoot and 33 mm at the heel, with a heel-to-toe drop of 10 mm. The width is regular, the stated weight is 328 g per shoe and the model is recommended for 2-3 runs per week.
