Sakura Microns are one of my favourites and I own a lot of them in many sizes. So always 5 stars for Microns! As for the colour, it's very pigmented but a bit darker than I expected. I bought it to add a pop to the dates of my planner, which are mostly stand-alone numbers, and once the page is filled out and more busy, it's hard to distinguish them from black. On its own or in thick/blocky concentrations, though, it's a pretty royal purple so that's now what I use it for. So YMMV depending on your intended application.

I got this pen as part of the Sakura Micron 8 Pack. It's the first brush pen I've used, so keep that in mind. It took some getting used to but after using it for a few days, I like it. Other reviewers mention that the tip frays and that's true. However I kind of like the sketchy/scratchy quality that gives to my lineart when I ink with it.My one complaint would be that this pen gives very little variation in line thickness. It's impossible to do fine details with this, so I'll be looking for a finer brush pen to compliment this one when inking.

I love to do calligraphy and making freehand drawings and sketches. I have a collection of pens, pencils and brushes and make mixed media art. The Sakura Pigma Brush Pens is like painting with ink. Using a brush pen for calligraphy requires more control on how much pressure to apply on the paper than just the angle of the pen - in contrast to using a chisel tip pen. Overall I like keeping the Sakura Pigma Brush Pens with my collection of pens - one can never have enough pens.

Great pens. I only gave them a four star only because they didn't exactly hold up for what I was using them for. I wanted a permanent non bleed non smudge pen for sketching the base image for underpaintings. But they do smudge a little bit. But I will use them for other art I create. Colors are bright and vibrant. The tips are smooth and easy to work with.
I have recently discovered ink-and-wash and have fallen in love with the Sakura Pigma Micron Pens. The ink is smooth and waterproof, whether using the pens or the brush marker. Saving my money to buy LOTS more!

This pen is the ultimate pen for writting in cursive or basically any kind of handwritting you choose to write this pen makes it beautiful with ease!! It works so well! Such a great brush pen with wonderful control, can get both thick strokes and very thin strokes with great pressure control. Great for both detail work and blocking larger areas with black, I use it for lining my work all the time and this is always my go to brush pen!
