I LOVE my W's R1 Daily Jacket, and I do wear it daily walking the dog, riding my bike, hiking, going to the store, etc. It's very soft and stretchy and the weight is perfect for the cooler mornings and evenings in MN in the fall. I ordered a large, because I tend to have difficulty with Patagonia's straight cut - I really wish they'd have more for curvy figures. I'm an average size (somewhere 8-10-12 or med), but I'm slightly pear-shaped from having kids, and the med jackets are often too tight in the hips. The large is pretty big on me, but I can wear layers underneath it, which is nice. I'll get a med next time around.

I was looking for a warm, lightweight jacket that I could use in multiple settings but would be easy topic when traveling. This jacket can be worn over other layers or stand by itself. It was very warm when I wore it to do a fast walk and even better easy to grab when I walk the dog. Sometimes it is worth to to spend a little more on a product that really works for you.

I like this jacket, and it fits nearly true to size, but as most of the products I buy from Patagonia lately, its very tight in the shoulder/under the armpit. Still, it works. I am slender with wider shoulders, though, not out of the ordinary- just have more of an athletic build. I tried on the size Med and it was way too baggy, long and bulky.The fabric is gorgeous and its very warm! I only wish Patagonia would use a more athletic fit model when designing outerwear- this would help with movement while climbing, running, skiing or whatever activity one is doing-

The fabric interior looks and feels like conventional fleece but the exterior surface of the same fabric is a tight knit that repels pet fur, sawdust, and other debris that regular fleece can collect. I appreciate the length and that it never rides up. It's a lighter weight but still just as warm as my last fleece jacket, and I swear I overheat less in this one. The downside is the pockets: they hold my phone, but only in a vertical position, which means they need to be zipped to keep my phone secure. If the pockets were wider and left an inch or two of depth below the bottom of the zipper (so the pocket bottom sunk below the opening) it would fix this issue. This jacket looks and functions great! Thank you Patagonia for the good length in the torso. It keeps me warm and covered even when being active, raising arms, bending down, etc. And it has a nice long and lean look. Even though I'm only 5'3", it's difficult for me to find tops with sufficient torso length! I keep this stuffed in my backpack wherever I go, it shakes out nicely and looks put together in any context, casual-professional or outdoor.
Wow, this piece is just amazing. Soft, thin, light, warm, fits perfectly in all the right places, long enough arm length and such a great generous back length that I am swooning. Makes me so happy that Patagonia doesn't skimp on length of their garments usually b/c that is why I have to end up returning so many other brand's clothing! Patagonia rocks!
I love this jacket and had it monogrammed for work. Unfortunately, after a couple of months, the end of the zipper has broken. Patagonia sent me a kit for repair, but I've spent hours trying to use the very small parts without success. I will keep using the jacket as I love it otherwise but the zip is disappointing. I appreciate Patagonia trying to repair things though -I am all for conservation.
I love this piece so much. Its thin but warm, soft on the inside, not super technical looking. I love wearing it out and about when running errands. The cut is good for me, and I really appreciated the longer length. It's a slim fit so sized up and can easily layer it under a coat. Overall a big win
I tried this jacket on at an REI store and bought it immediately. It was so soft and warm but not restrictive. I thought I would use it for running. I have ended up wearing this jacket everyday. The arms and body stretch with my movement. I can clean my horse barn, bending and lifting with no restriction. The interior is cozy lightly brush fleece. The outer repels hay, hair, and water drops roll off. I came to the web site to order another. This simple jacket is the best ever!!
Love this jacket, but the extra length is not necessary, and makes a great fitting jacket up top very difficult to fit on the lower half. It is either too small for anyone with hips and butt (I'm an athletic build, so nothing out of the ordinary) or it has to be unzipped or scrunched up at the waist. I almost returned it, but I love it under a vest or unzipped. Design team: take note please and maybe I'll replace this one with a shorter (or wider at the hip, but prefer shorter) and sell this one back in the future.
