Pleasantly unique in its "earth colours" aesthetic, this fan stands out in many other ways. As you handle it, visibly apparent is that it is fantastically engineered. And activated offers quite a pronounced air flow, faithful to its low-noise claims. I also love the generosity of thought given to accessories: leads, connectors, adaptors, accompaniments for every scenario to help you incorporate the fan into your existing set-up with the least fuss. It seems what I would call an optimal product - where the makers have gone out to achieve optimal possible functionality within the spatial and thus aerodynamic design constraints. Craftsmanship is back! Can't fault it.

Quality Noctua fans at a reasonable price. Cannot find locally so i have to buy from overseas. Small pwm fans are excellent for cooling down your media cabinet without havong huge fan holes/grilles making your cabinet look ugly.

Noctua offer a truly premium product. The fans are super quiet, extremely high quality and seem to provide very efficient cooling. Worth every penny of the extra spend compared to many other types of fan.

I continue to prefer Noctua fans. This one replaces a minor chassis fan that became nois(-ier) (the cheap generic kind you get on a basic chassis) The Noctua is slightly thicker than the outgoing one but still fit in the space. So glad as the Noctua is quiet and moves "some" air - can't expect too much from such a small fan. This is a very crowded rack-mount chassis and this fan is helping the hard-drives get a little relief. My recommendation for Noctua is that I have several of their fans, starting with a CPU fan/cooler that fit and works well in a custom computer build. Now when a fan "situation" comes up, I just look up which unit fits (size and airflow) on the Noctua website and check eBay for the best price.
I recently bought my first server case, and had none of these tiny fans on hand. The server is not very high-performance, so the high-flow-but-super-noisy ones more typical in servers aren't really necessary. So, I decided to see whether there are any Noctua fans in this size, and behold--there are! These deliver everything I expect from Noctua, from the packaging to the performance. The temps in the case went down measurably, while the noise profile went up to "barely noticeable"--for this project, an acceptable tradeoff for me. I've been buying Noctua fans ever since I first tried them in a custom PC years ago, and while they're definitely toward the pricier side, the overall care given to the product and the noise/performance ratio is unbeatable. Mounted fan on perforated metal like what you would see on pretty much any computer case fan mount. Here's why this fan is absolute garbage: If there is even the slightest obstruction to this fan's flow, ie grates or slots, THIS FAN WILL NOT FUNCTION. What happens is, due to the fact that the gap between the fan blade and interior of its frame is so huge, the fan blades push the air through the blades, and back out through the huge gap previously mentioned. I really have no idea how this fan ever made it past R&D, and I really don't understand how they ever came to the conclusion that they should charge $15 for it. AVOID THIS FAN. EXTREMELY flawed design/ non-functional.
Works great as a replacement for either/both of the two fans in the HP Compaq 8300 Ultra Slim desktop PC. It is necessary to trim one of the two small tabs on the power connector so that it can plug into the mating 4-pin connector on the motherboard. No other modifications needed. Easy installation. Highly recommended.
I have replaced all 4 fans on my 3d printer to noctuas. There is no fan noise at all from 3 feet away. These fans come with different connectors and options, the seem very high quality. Highly recommended. They do move less air than a comparable sized fan, I increased fan size to keep airflow on par with the OEM fan.
