Everyone's head is different of course, but these are the right balance of size, fit on my nose, and distance to my eyes (eyelashes). I've got some challenges with my vision and I'm much more light-sensitive than I used to be. These are awesome and I highly recommend them. They are expensive...buy once cry once.

I’ve been a Peahi fan with prescriptions for years. Love them.Yesterday I got my first pair of Kanaios. Everything Peahis have given me with less weight on the nose bridge and less pressure behind the ear - something I never even knew was a problem until I tried the KanaioThe blue reflective lenses with my prescription are awesome. The clarity is exceptional and as someone with acute light sensitivity, the lack of any squinting makes all the difference in the world just to be able to be outdoors.

I love Maui Jim sunglasses and have owned multiple pairs. I loved these when I first got them, but after a few weeks one of the molded nose pieces fell off. I contacted MJ costumer service, sent the glasses back as the nose pieces had to be factory installed, and they ended up sending me a brand new pair. After wearing the new ones for a short time, another nose piece fell off. This seems like a design/manufacturing flaw. MJ has offered to send new nose pieces, which I can superglue on myself and risk voiding the warranty if I get glue on the lenses or frame or mail them back in again. Also, the nose pieces are on back order so who knows how long I’ll be without them this time. These would be a five star pair of sunglasses if they didn’t keep falling apart.

I bought these on vacation (an impulse buy) in the evening and thought that the next day on the beach in full sunlight that I would be blown away by the lenses. My wife’s Maui’s that she’s had a couple of years are great, and I’ve been wanting to get some like hers. Unfortunately, these lenses are absolutely nothing like the ones she has. I see nothing at all special about these lenses and as far as I’m concerned, they look no different than a 15 dollar pair of cheap glasses from Walmart. I couldn’t be more dissatisfied with the quality. The frames appear to be really flimsy in the hinges after having put them on and off a few times. These are far too expensive to not love them. My wife bought me a pair of these sunglasses June 2018 because the sales representative told her that Maui Jim has the best customer service out of all sunglasses. I would have to say my experience with Maui Jim customers service was unsatisfactory and disheartening. The arm on my sunglasses was damaged due to the metal hinge pulling through the the thin piece of plastic and releasing the arm from the frame. The glasses fell off and cracked a lense. I recent ordered a pair of Kanaio Coast custom glasses with the Hawaii Lava lens. The first two pair arrived with micro scratches on each lens. MauiJim was great to work with replacing both pair. The third pair arrived without any issues. However, after wearing just a few times, each time placing back into the case after wearing the lava lens already has a scratch. Today when I cleaning them under water to make sure I did not effect the lens by rubbing dust into them. After washing the left lens already two scratches. I am not sure what MauiJim is using for coatings, but it does not seem very reliable. So disappointing when you spend $250 for premium sunglasses that scratch so easy. These are absolutely the best sunglasses I have ever owned. They happen to fit my face shape perfectly and it’s simply unbelievable how well Maui Jim makes these great lenses. I have been looking at the Kanaio Coast sunglasses for a while and I was very happy when I saw them on the Tommy Bahama website. I have always liked Tommy Bahama clothes but the best part is when I signed up and received a $50 off coupon. With the coupon i was able to buy them much cheaper than at the Maui Jim website. So I got a great pair of sunglasses from one of my favorite stores. Thank you Tommy Bahama for helping me save a few bucks.
I have been wearing MJs for over 25 years. I currently have 8 pairs. I am very hard on them and I usually have 2 pairs ready to send back to get the lens replaced. I would highly recommend these glasses. I am in the sun constantly and the lenses really help with eye fatigue and glare. They are very sturdy other than when the fall off of my head and land on a lens which then shatters. This occurs from trying to place them on top of a hat when I go indoors and look up. I am a general contractor so job site visits are a requirement. Just put a spare pair in the truck for this. Love MJ and the entire staff have always been above board and helpful.
Bought the Kanaio Coast for $249.00, added the 2.0 reader option for and additional $40.00. Received the glasses only to notice the lenses were plastic, not glass like the MJ website said. No place on the website (that I could find) tells you that. Customer service said since I added the reader option, the lens got downgraded to plastic. Still MJ has the nerve to charge an extra $40.00.
