This Lodge dutch oven meets all my expectations! I loved it as soon as I took it out of the box! The shape & color of the pot are so pretty and the quality is apparent. Even before I cooked that bomb chili in it. I'm actually very proud of it. The expense is well worth it but I got a fab deal during Way Days. I was unsure of what size to get because I need it small enough for just me but also big enough for leftovers or company. I bought the 4.5 qt size and it's perfect. I couldn't be happier & highly recommend it!

I bought this to replace a very well known Dutch oven brand that was accidentally broken at a cookout. I havenβt had an opportunity to use it yet, but in my opinion it looks feels every bit as nice as the other one, but much less expensive. I love the red, again looks much like that other brand. It really doesnβt match anything in my kitchen, but itβs so pretty Iβm considering saying to heck with color leave it on my stove top. Iβm pretty fussy about things like that so for me to even think about it you know itβs pretty. First time buying anything from Lodge, but doubt it will be my last.

Only used this Dutch Oven twice, in the oven once then gas stove top. Holds a large meal and stays hot/warm through the duration of the meal. The enamel was easy to clean but the weight may be challenging for some people. I placed towels on the counter to prevent chipping or scratching the granite counter. The weight also makes sliding the Dutch Oven into the oven a bit tricky. The weight is not a surprise as I own other cast iron pans however the size and weight requires the bottom shelf of the fridge. I moved the leftovers into containers instead. I like this Dutch Oven overall but my wife prefers a multilayer stock pot for its weight but cost a bit more.

I am glad I finally bought it. I wasn't sure if I really need it and if it will be a pain to clean and take care of it. It appears it is very good for me when it comes to cooking in the oven and is not hard to maintain (read the manual that comes with the pot). I specifically mentioned "cooking in the oven" before because when it comes to cooking on the stove I don't really see the difference (in my case sometimes it is even worse) then in a regular pan/pot, so except the fact it takes longer and consumes more power, I do not see the benefit in this case. We also bake bread in it, I didn't even realize how nice it is not to bother with a water pan anymore - you just put bread in it, close/open the lid as needed and that's it. Also, what is very important to me, the food doesn't stick that much as I expected. I thought it will require much more oil, but actually it doesn't, maybe just a little bit more than usual works ok for me (and I don't eat oily food).I took the red one, 6 quarts. It is big enough (I bake a whole chicken in it without problem) and it looks nice (gives me a cosy feeling). Delivered as scheduled, very good packed, no chips (thanks Wayfair!).
Great bang for your buck. Surface area for cooking is smaller than I would prefer, but for the price it's WORTH IT! The color, however, is much more blue than the pictures show. I first ordered Sage (photos appeared green) and when it arrived it was more of a blue shade. I returned it and got a new color (lagoon) which appeared to be an emerald green in the photos but when it arrive, it was a deep blueish/green. I actually ended up liking the color for lagoon when it arrived (thank god because I didn't want to make another return). But just FYI the colors don't quite match the stock photos on the website- not a huge deal at all because walmart does free/easy returns.
I received two pots with small imperfections in the exterior enamel before I received the third pot that had no issues. The return process at Target for online items is super efficient and hassle free. I have no complaints there. I took the opportunity while there to look at the enameled pots they offer in store. I feel I made the superior choice by my online selection. Much of the offering at the store was a lower capacity and lower price point. I have owned Lodge items for over twenty years and have confidence in the brand. I have only used my dutch oven twice but it works well, cleans up easily, and looks nice on my stove. The oyster is a classic color. I am very happy with my purchase and I have faith this quality product will last for years. I AM disappointed to be discovering this morning that this item is Made In China. I now see in the specifications area that no Country of Origin is listed. I see China mentioned in the Q&A section. I just googled it to confirm I see on the web that Lodge produces all of their product in the USA except for the Dutch Oven. As a consumer, I consciously avoid Made In China product. I should have been more careful. I would have sprung for the Le Creueset if I had realized that. In the end, my money went to a company that does manufacture in the USA. And, I will rely on Target's stringent safety protocol to ensure this is not a dangerous product (considering I am cooking food in it). I definitely would not have purchased this product if I had realized it came from China. I try to purchase american made as much as possible. I do not trust chinese manufacturing standards for safety.
Iβve been looking for a good quality dutch oven for a long time now and recently read an article that rated the top five and Lodge was #2 on the list. The first being a little too pricey for my liking. This product doesnβt disappoint! The price was great, the color beautiful, the brand is well established, and it is very well made. Im pleased with the purchase and recommend it to anyone who wants quality without spending hundreds of dollars.
I own several pieces of Lodge cast iron cookware, and wanted to add this porcelain dutch oven to my collection for chili, stews and a few other larger meals. I really like the quality of the piece. I have cooked in it a couple of times since purchase, and it cooks great. There are other pricier brands out there, but the Lodge quality steered me to this purchase, and I could not be happier with my decision to buy Lodge.
Was a gift for mt Mom for Christmas which I gave to her early. She love, love, loves it. I wanted to let her use it foe her pre Christmas cooking. I love it too, and think I may have to break down and get me one as I only have cast iron dutch, and my daughter one. They are beautiful, easy clean, cook as well as regular cast iron. Lovely π
This is a beautiful dutch oven at a fraction of the cost! When I started making sourdough bread, my husband found this one and it has upped my bread making game. Ever since I started using this pot, my bread rises beautifully and comes out looking great. We've used it to cook stews and clean up is super easy. Just make sure you get all the spots before baking with it so the spots don't get baked on. I love the off white color and it really looks more expensive than it is. We trust the Lodge quality and the size is perfect for one pot meals and larger bread loaves. I wish they made matching ones in smaller sizes too!
