Hair also snags underneath the plates - pulled my hair out on first use and I had to wait for them to cool then use tweezers to pluck the broken strands out from under the plate. And, this one is a small thing to moan about I guess; but the awful tune they make when you turn them on and off sounds cheap and nasty. Considering how expensive they were I expected a LOT better than this. I actually wondered if Iād been taken for a fool and managed to buy fakes, until I remembered Iād bought them from the official GHD website. I wish Iād never bought them and got the basic ones instead. Itās really put me off GHDs.

I have avery dry, frizzy hair, and am using argan oil to keep my hair at bay together with my old ghd but at wet humid weather it wasn't working. Platinum + does simply miracle! My hair so shiny, very lively, holding shape and don't afraid humidity. It is a really miracle tool - this GHD Platinum+ā¤ļø it is very light, quickly got heated, even pleasant to touch and take into the hand. It has done me well the last 8 years, but I wanted to upgrade so I bought this straightener and it does not disappoint. I thought the heat up time of my old straightener was already fast but this one was even faster. It straightens evenly and quickly so that I donāt have to pass the straightener over my hair more than twice. The only thing I didn't love was the noise to turn on and turn off the straightener.
