10 of these locks are fitted to our brand new home and 10 of them no longer work. We thought it was one faulty lock but one by one they all stopped working. Builder came back out, adjusted them and they operated “OK” for a short period and stopped working. Our main bedroom door now cannot close at all and all other locks just don’t work.

This is a waste of money if you’re after a door lever set which you can lock. The locking pin does absolutely nothing.
Bought all new door handles 6 months ago to replace existing door ‘knobs’ that we’ve had for 10 years. These were easy to install, look great and easy to use instead of trying to turn a door knob. All still working well … even with grand kids using them!
I purchased 4 of these and within the first week the internal casing broke locking a child in a room, then a second broke as the catch stuck in a retracted position. Look great but cheap internal construction.
We bought a house that had these passage handles installed (approx 8 years since construction). Might be okay for while if new, don’t recommend on the basis that they’re fiddly and often get jammed - referring to the non- privacy set and regular handles. Privacy pins operate poorly and we’ve removed altogether after numerous bathroom lock-ins. The privacy release safety is very unreliable, once had to drill out the handle because because the safety release was also jammed. Obviously planning to remove and replace the whole lot in the near future
Broken after 5 months of use trapping my son in his room. Will now need to replace door and new lock. Would stay away from Gainsborough. Cheap and nasty
Rubbish, absolutly horrible. Id rather install ikonic then this terrible brand. Latchs break, doesnt sit securely on a 54mm hole as required in installation template. Remove his brand off the shelves to prevent heades asap. Warranty claim does nothing
We bought these lock sets for our bedrooms as they looked great. The pin stopped pushing in to lock the door on 2 doors qnd the other doors you can push in the pin but still open the 'locked' door from the outside. We have a builder here now and he confirmed they are terrible quality.
