Fenty Beauty Rihanna Match Stix Matte Skinstick Contour - Espresso

I got the shade amber since I'm that person who thinks contour should always be cool-toned because it's supposed to mimic the shadow. This one almost nailed it :) not as cool-toned as the contour products i can get here in South Korea, but it's close enough. The other shades look more like a bronzing shade to me tho. However, the reason as to why I got this product in the first place was because of the ease of use. I found this product to be a bit hard to blend even with a buffer brush shown in the picture which imo defeats the whole purpose of stick contour. It's not a bad product- I'll use this until it runs out, but idk about buying it again esp regarding its high price point. This has been my go to contour product since it was released when Fenty Beauty was launched. The shade Amber is cool and somewhat grey, but that is what makes it work for my fair olive undertone. The color creates a natural looking shadow that sculpts my nose, cheekbones, and jawline. It is best to apply in small sections and begin blending immediately because the formula dries down very quickly. After that it lasts the whole day for me. I have heard that some people warm it up on the back of their hands first. I prefer to draw the contour directly onto my face with the stick and then blend with a beauty sponge or dense brush. The full size should be enough to last for a couple months of daily use.

I no longer trust Fenty. They changed the shades and did not tell us. I've used "Amber" since it was first released. I received my new one (purchased via Sephora) but not only is it a completely different shade, formula and packaging, it's several shades lighter than the original and has a strange yellow cast. It is no longer cool toned as advertised. I used it several times thinking it was all in my head until my medical doctor husband said I looked jaundice due to the color of this contour stick and wanted to know what had happened to my neck, which was where I had placed the contour. Since I'd tried using it for a weeks time, it's considered "too used" so it's too late for a return. It was the only thing I'd found that made my double chin virtually vanish. Now? It's several shades lighter; at least 3 shades lighter, and is no longer that cool toned shade as pictured. It is a totally different color! It's a light yellow. Yet the sticker on the bottom of the stick still looks exactly like the original - shade and labeling. I'd checked in case I'd received the incorrect color. Not only that, but the formula is far different from the original. The original was matte and blended out and dried down beautifully, free of any streaking. This new formula not only doesn't dry down, but it's downright greasy. It's so greasy that it streaks and transfers everywhere regardless how I try to set it. The old version - 5 stars all the way. This new version is a nightmare. I am so disappointed. It is SO DIFFERENT from the original, I'm surprised people haven't taken to social media with images - yet. It's such a strange shade of yellow, that I'm struggling to imagine who this could possibly ever work for. I noticed other reviewers stating exactly the same thing about the change in shade and quality. The packaging has also changed; it's very flimsy and lighter weight and lacks the original magnet but I did not spend my hard earned money on this for the packaging. I could care less about packaging. I expect that the shade shown in the image on this website and on Sephora's site where this product is sold to AUTHENTICALLY REFLECT what I am spending my hard earned money on. I feel scammed because the change in formula and change in shade was not accurately depicted anywhere, only a description of the new packaging lacking a magnet and only on this website and nowhere else. I'm sorry but I would never purchase anything from this brand again. If they don't care about their customers enough to apprise us of such changes in quality and (shade!!) which is the reason we are here and making purchases, then I do not feel safe doing business with this company and will never purchase another Fenty product again as long as I live.

The best Contour Stick

I have to say I wasn't sure about this product until I had it on my hands, I have combo skin and cream products are not always the best on me but this product made me fall in LOVE.It applies so smooth and leaves a beautiful shadow without looking either orangy not ashy, I was between this a color truffle but a make up artist recommended this shade for latina skin tones (the best advice)I'm so happy I got it and thing this will definitely became a staple for me and a must have during winterPs: I leave you a swatch against the cream bronzer Teddy (looks glowier), I've found to love this combination but please tell me if you found a better one

I have mixed feelings about this. If you want to use this for contour, I'm sorry but this shade isn't it. First, I think the blendability is okay. It may seem hard to blend but with a dense brush, you'll find that it's actually very easy to blend, however, when you blend it too much, it kind of disappears. So I'll have to re-apply again. I have a light medium skin with olive undertones and I find that this shade goes a little too orangey for me. Plus the Sephora associate who helped me recommended Private Island bronzer on top of this *facepalm* so I look even more orange. I could have gone for something that's a bit more neutral to match my skintone a little bit. But Mocha + Private Island just makes me too orange it looks as if I used an orange self tanner on my ... MoreI have mixed feelings about this.
