I have the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick in the shade 01 Amber. I really love this. It is a great product for contouring. The shade is beautiful. It is the perfect cool brown that looks so natural defining my cheekbones. The actual formula is so soft and easy to blend into a natural shadow. It takes seconds. This is a great product for beginners. The application is just so easy it would be hard to mess up. The color is so perfect, I don't think I could make it look bad even if I tried. This is definitely well worth the price. I will repurchase when I've used this up. I don't need to try other shades because this one works perfect for me. I'm fair skinned with neutral undertones. I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I really liked this Fenty Beauty Match Stix Contour Skinstick! Even though I chose a color that is too close to my complexion, it went on smooth and blended easily into my skin. The fragrance is very mild and that is a plus. I did not have any breakouts from using this product. The packaging is so pretty…I always love a pretty pink so this fit right in for me. Although it’s too close to my complexion, I can definitely use it for when I want an extra bronze look when wearing a light blush or just use this in place of it. I will definitely purchase it, just in a different color.

I have a new favorite contour stick! Fenty Beauty is one of my favorite brands so I had a feeling I would enjoy this product. First off, I really love the sleek and convenient packaging. It’s travel friendly and fits in my purse for touch ups and doesn’t take up much room in my makeup bag. The cap is pretty secure as well. The product itself blends easily with a brush or a sponge (I prefer a brush because I don’t have to get up to wet my sponge haha). The shade match Amber was a great choice for my light neutral skin tone. It’s a great contour shade for me, not bronzing, which I prefer over all over bronzing these days. It gives me a natural chiseled look. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish there was more product in the tube. The product ... MoreI have a new favorite contour stick! Purchased at Ulta. This is the Fenty beauty by Rihanna match Stix matte contour in the shade amber. I purchased this when it first came out and they must have reformulated it because it’s a little easier to use than before. This is a well done contour with cool undertones for light to medium skin tones in terms of color. This is a lightweight formula but works best when you warm it up against your skin (back of your hand). I like to apply to back of my hand, pick up with a brush and apply. Takes a little work to blend out the edges if you apply it directly to your skin. This can be tricky when applied directly to your skin. You have to be gentle or it can lift base products slightly

I purchased the Fenty Beauty Matchstick skin stick Contour. I have been looking for a contour stick that is for very fair skin. I purchased this in the color Amber. I've been looking for a contour that leans more gray on my cool tone skin to make my cheekbones look more chiseled and contour my nose and neck area. This formula does last a very long time. It's easy to blend and does not disrupt my foundation underneath. The packaging is plastic, but so far, it's been durable. I think this product will last a long time. I do wish that the lightest contour shade that they have, which this is it, was more gray on my skin tone, but it looks more like a bronzer. I read reviews and did my homework before purchasing this one. Even though it's not the shade I was looking for, it still looks very nice on my skin. I'm still on the hunt for a great Contour stick.

A mixed undertones dream!
27 December 2023

Found this to be extremely complimentary for me. My tone changes drastically throughout the year having brown skin with neutral leaning warm olive (I know) so it has been difficult to find a shade match. The shade range for all my undertones is unmatched! Definitely a staple. It was very blendable with my dense real techniques brush. I didn’t find this to be drying at all. However, I wear tinted moisturizers (tower 28, westman, summer fridays , and keep my face extremely hydrated with prep. If anything, I like to set it down with a powder bronzer on top closer to the blush line and use the kosas powder to carve out the cheek bones to give it that extra pop and have it last all day. Do not sleep on this!

Amber. Fantastic color. Functional formula.

Great cool toned contour color! I have tried lots of different contour creams/sticks and this is the best tone I’ve seen at Sephora for pale, cool tone skin. While professional make up brands like Ben nye and kryolan have been making decent shades for years, fenty seems to be the only “commercial beauty” brands that has the cool toned/shadowy colours that really make contour work (outside of repurposing eyeshadow products). The formula of this stick is fine, it is blend-able with proper skin prep, and a little goes a long way. That being said I don’t really think the formula alone is enough to make the product worthwhile, it doesn’t work standalone and needs other products/tools to blend out nicely. That being said I don’t really think the formula alone is enough to make the product worthwhile, it doesn’t work standalone and needs other products/tools to blend out nicely. There are plenty of brands that make face sticks that function better and/or cost less money, they often don’t offer the cooler toned shades. I am currently on my 3rd (maybe 4th) of these sticks, and I do plan to continue to buy them, but I am also still trying at new launches, hoping for something a bit better. The product is okay, but not “end game” good.I went with 4 stars since it is the only contour stick I have ever repurchased from Sephora. While I’m not totally in love with the formula it is functional once you get then hang of it. The product goes on pretty dry, so blending it out usually requires some other source of “moisture” to help it move - for me it usually enough to just put it on over wet-ish foundation, and blend it out that way. I usually use a sponge (or even my fingers), but I have also used a brush with spray. I set the product with powder for longevity. For dramatic looks I will even go on top with with a contour powder.

Beautiful texture, need to explore colors
25 April 2024

I received the Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick in Soft Amber complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. This is a really lovely contour stick with a very creamy, blendable texture. I love the size and shape of the stick, it's super portable and easy to glide on. It blends like a dream with a variety of brushes - I like the Merit Tapered Blending Brush or the Saie Base Brush - but you could probably blend this with a sponge or even your fingers. I found that the stick was shaped such that I could apply it to broader, larger areas or use an edge to get a finer line around my nose and eye area. I could definitely see a subtle contour but I'd prefer something stronger, but it's great that they have lighter options for fairer skin tones. My only complaint is this gets a bit cakey when set with powder which I have to do because I have super oily skin but overall this is a great contour stick that's super easy to use even for makeup beginners.

Conflicted
17 November 2023

I’m very conflicted over this product. Is the tone for contouring spot on for fairer skin? Yes. Is it long wearing? Yes. Does it feel creamy when swatched? Yes. Is it also described and designed to have a matte finish? Yes. Its usage, in practice, I’m sure at least partially because it is meant to have that matte finish, however, makes it quite finicky. This is not a product I can simply swipe on my face, as it will rub off foundation underneath and drag against the skin. Swiping on with a brush is also a no-go. I find that to make this product work for me I need to lightly pat in a small amount of product gradually building as needed with a brush and continue to pat to blend it out. Because it is so difficult for me to work with, it’s hard for me to say if I recommend it or not, but because it is so difficult to come by a true cream contour that isn’t orange, or even almost yellow ish, it may be worth trying with extra care and patience.

Sheer, cakey, horrible for undereye use
4 April 2024

I bought this primarily for my undereyes and will be returning it. I was not expecting it to be so sheer and hardly cover any undercircle, while somehow also being so cakey it looks like a flaky layer of skin is peeling off throughout my day. To add insult to injury, it also enhances fine line wrinkles and somehow ends up looking much worse than if I was to wear nothing at all.I wish I paid more attention to the reviews, but discounted a bunch because I know the Fenty stix have a layer of wax when you first get them and thought that might be why people disliked it. Can confirm though that even under the wax there's all these issues.I'm giving it two stars however because it did look okay on my redish nose and upper cheeks. Shame too because I do like the other types of Fenty stix.
