Second year using this tent for pronged camps. Im currently sitting in Scotland and its been p**sing down with rain for 6 hours and Im sitting here, dry, warm and quite contedely with a drink whilst my boys are sleeping soundly.Im a seasoned camper and whilst its the three of us, this tent gives us a comfortable base camp with a table to sit round and an additional little table for cooking. It has ample stash space for gear.Honestly? Its the best £200 ive ever spent.Buy it. Book an adventure and go for it.

I recommend the Arpenaz 4.1 Fresh & Black, it endured the UK Storm Antoni in August 2023, with up to 88 km per hour wind over 12 hours. The tent fabric did not rip, the poles flexed in the storm force winds. Additional 10 cm tent pegs secured the guy ropes and poles during the worst of the storm due to the sandy soil and exposed ground. The tent endured Storm Betty and other storms during the trip. One pole section incurred a small split, due to the prolonged extreme winds, we left this pole in situ with some duct tape for two weeks, note a spare pole was in the bag. The tent remained water and wind proof, it provided the best blackout sleeping experience, the well designed ventilation panels eliminated condensation and allowed good air flow giving a comfortable ... There is a window mesh vent on one side for the cooking table area - great idea. The Decathlon brand chairs, table, lamps and inflatable beds worked with the design and layout. Next time we would bring an extra mat or ground sheet for the living area to protect the ground sheet. This is a surprisingly good tent with unbelievable durability, comfort and value for money for the price.

Initially I was impressed with the tent - you do need two people to put it up (to bend the longer poles to fit in their slots) but other than that, assembly was fairly straightforward and it's an ok size. However, the shorter of the three tent poles broke after we took it down the first time we used it (for two nights' easy camping) - the elastic inside the pole has snapped, and so far Decathlon are refusing to send a replacement pole (they've offered to send a bit of elastic string - but not being a tent pole engineer, that doesn't help me). Incredibly disappointed in the £200 product, and customer service so far.Only gave a one-star rating for heat reduction because it has no heat reduction properties. Completely ordinary tent, warms up quickly inside when the ... I really love this tent, so easy to put up so easy to take down by myself. It’s hot in the sunshine but all tents areIt’s black out inside isn’t really blackout but rather greatly reduces the amount of light inside the tent in the mornings,The sitting area is the perfect size for me my Mrs and my little boy of 2.I really recommend this product I can’t wait to use it again.I can’t comment on whether it’s leak proof as i have not used it in the rain yet
Bought this tent just a couple of months ago to use for this year’s holidays. Took ages to put up considering it can be done by 2 people which there was 2 of us. When up holes appeared in the seams areas and in the bedroom area and it wasn’t from the way it was erected. They just appeared and water got in. Very disappointed with this tent as mesh window let in water and cover for same is not the best made as flies got in and zips don’t let the flap down fully as to get the area cleaned. Same on non mesh window regarding flap. Needs more hooks for hanging camping lights on in all of tent. Ground sheet needs to be replaced with all in one joined to outer layer as bugs and other things can easily get in. Door needs poles to be able to let air in on good weather. ... Have now used this tent twice since buying. First use was at Download festival where we were lucky enough to have extremely hot weather and the second was this weekend at Timber festival where we had sun, wind and very heavy rain. The heat reduction in the bedroom was definitely better than non blackout tents, and we managed to sleep longer than previously in non blackout tents, but it does still get warm on a hot sunny day. The blackout effect isn’t completely black out like curtains, however it’s effective and helps sleeping through on longer days when the sun comes up early. The storms we had were long and heavy, and we got no leaks, however there was some condensation which dripped down, but extremely minimal.Pitching the tent was simple, but generally would ... We bought this tent after lots of deliberating as the reviews were a bit mixed and not being able to see one erected in our local store. We are so glad we did though, it's a great tent for the money. We had horrendous wind and rain on its first trip out and it performed brilliantly. The fresh and black bedroom is good helping to eliminate light. It is a 4 man tent however it accommodates 2 people comfortably, I think 4 would be a squeeze but this can be said about all tents. We purchased two poles to hold up the front door to make a canopy to cook under, not from Decathlon though, as we didn't realise they weren't included and Decathlon is an hour away! Reviews talked about poles being tricky to insert, they are quite tight but not impossible, I think once it's been ... I bought this for me and my three kids to try camping, one of the poles was a little tricky to put in ( middle one ) but otherwise relatively simple to erect. Stayed dry though the rain and the blackout was brilliant meaning the tent didnt get too hot and the kids stayed asleep way past sunrise. Easy to pack away. I have had the 2second 2 xl for a number of years and it has lasted well, I will be very happy if this one lasts as long.
We had our previous tent for about 10 years and finally decided it was time for a new one! We were not disappointed with this purchase! The tent is a great design and easy to put up (2 people). It also comes with spare sections of pole, guy ropes, bungee etc. The bedroom section is already attached to the outer so it's just a case of popping in some poles and pinning it down! It's very spacious inside and you can stand in the awning which also has space for a table and chairs. The bedroom section is also spacious. We fit a double air bed with plenty of room for our dog in his crate (realistically would comfortably fit a double and single air bed). Only downside is no fly-nets on the outer and bedroom door. We usually like to keep the bedroom section open for ... MoreWe had our previous tent for about 10 years and finally decided it was time for a new one! We were not disappointed with this purchase! We usually like to keep the bedroom section open for ventilation however this wasn't really necessary as the tent was so airy and cool inside (camping on a hot day and cooler inside than out). Towards the end of our trip the weather turned wet and windy and the tent held up well to both! We are very happy we spent the extra to purchase the 'fresh and black' version. Taking the tent down was also very simple and fit easily inside the bag (bag slightly bigger than required).
The tent is literally disintegrated. I've had it 7 months, used it twice and it is covered in small holes.Everything else about the tent is great... The fresh and black is amazing, I can put it up alone as a single mum, it's plenty of space to stand and store a buggy inside.I've loved decathlon since before it came to the UK and I've had my quecha pop up tent for 10 years, done 100s of nights in it and it's only just started leaking. But I'm not going to be buying from you again after the way I have been treated.I complained online and they refused to help so phoned ahead then I drove hundreds of miles to be told although it's in warranty they can't help as I haven't got the reciept.
