Decathlon can start designing which can have Modular pack adaptability or something to similar to M.O.L.L.E Webbing. It would greatly help with customising these backpacks based on multi-format usage.I used this bag comfortably, the only negative being it does not have enough compartments. My Canon DSLR and lenses were brushing against my EDC/ Bushcraft Tool Pouch

I had the previous model, but after 2.5 years of stomping around Singapore with it, the hip belt had started to part from the main bag. I took it to the City Square Store, and the lads there replaced it with this new model without hesitation. Fantastic service. Anyway, overall the bag is an improvement: the hip belt is one, continuous piece, well padded and seems sturdy. It's very much like my old, beloved Osprey Stratos; there is an elasticated pocket at the side that takes big bottles at an angle, so it'll be easy to take them out n put them back; the lid fastens to only one buckle and the excellent, elasticated front pocket has no buckle. This means there are far fewer dangly bits. The new bag has an internal frame with no size adjustment, so you have to buy the bag that best suits you. The material feels tougher, but ask me again in 2.5 years time. Oh and you still get a rain cover - that's quite useful here...My only tiny gripe, is that the internal zip pocket is much narrower; so, for example, I cant fit in my spare mask for those times I forget to take one with me and am caught short...

The bag design is so bad, its designed to be tilted backwards away from your back the whole time which creates bending force on your backFor example if your equipments weight 6 KG it will feels 11 KG after a while, this is why its not suitable at all for hiking...I calibrated the bag its all the same, unfortunately I left Turkey otherwise I would have tried to replace it with another design.Materials quality: amazingPractical and have everything you need, just bad designI would give this 3 stars, but since this is an important problem, I would go for 1 starI had the North Face 50 Terra before and never had this problem.

I can say that I really appreciate and love with this backpack. The specs and materials is perfect. I hike with this backpack for 3days 2night in Mount Trusmadi with 15kg load. And the backpack perform really well. Doesn't sagging or strap loosening. Really recommend it
This rucksack has a really well designed frame, back system and hip belt and is a very comfortable all day carry. It is reasonably light in itself but this is less important with rucksacks than how they transfer their fully loaded weight to your body and this one is excellent at that. It has an adequate air gap for your back but with a less pronounced curve holding it away from your body than a lot of rucksacks which helps both the load transfer through the shoulders and stability. It also means the main compartment remains a nice regular boxy shape and easy to fit your kit in. The straps are easy to adjust for a good fit and don't slip. The main fabric seems quite tough and durable but the stretchy material used on some of the external pockets whilst saving weight and working well have scuffed up in one place after a bit of bushwacking. The pockets I find most useful are the top lid pocket which is really big, the large stretchy front pocket and the zipped ones on the hip belt. The slanty side water bottle pockets don't seem very secure but I can manage without them. The compression straps on the side work well and double up for carrying a sleeping mat. Sizewise it is has a noticeably bigger capacity than my 35litre rucksack, doesn't seem to hold any less than my 45litre but is a nicer more compact shape. Almost tardis like.
I’ve used a plethora of bergens/rucksacks over the years on military ops and latterly as a keen hiker. I went for the 30 litre version and used and abused the bag during the build up training and completion of Everest base camp last December. It behaved superbly and put up with everything thrown at it including winter Brecon and the Himalayas. A lot of thought has gone into its design and functionality but the clever angles of the water bottle carriers work extremely well. I use both the bladder and bottle. On the move using the bottle was a doddle instead of faffing about trying to reach it. The back airflow system also works a treat which helps to stop a soaking, sweaty back. A 2 litre bladder sits properly and tucks away nicely. Overall and for the money, a ... MoreI’ve used a plethora of bergens/rucksacks over the years on military ops and latterly as a keen hiker. Did lots of research and didn't want to spend a fortune on something that might not be quite right. This ticked every box except the ice-axe loop (which I can fashion myself somehow. So it's light, the smaller size fits me perfectly. I've done two days so far of hill walking in Scotland and this sack has made life so much easier. I particularly like the pole loops and the easy to open hip pockets where I store my phone and snacks. Other features include:- water bladder facility;- pole loop (all sacks should have this - it's such a simple idea)- big zip for easy access to bottom of sack- mesh pocket for stuffing quick access stuff like gloves and hat- side pocket- easy to access water bottle pockets (brilliant, saves taking off your sack)- rain coverThe only ... MoreDid lots of research and didn't want to spend a fortune on something that might not be quite right. It does have two small loops at the bottom but not big enough for an ice axe however you could easily fit an extra belt to accommodate one.- there is a side pocket only on one side. Not a huge issue as there are so many other places to stuff things but in the interests of symmetry it wouldn't be difficult to put one on both sides - there may of course be a valid reasonI've only used it as a day sack so far but I think I'd be able to sling a tent under the sack and use it for wild camping and DofE as long as I wasn't away too long. It really does punch above it's weight. I note other reviews have hinted at it's robustness. I suppose that's the compromise for getting one this light but it's guaranteed for ten years so I can live with that.
Having got one of these in the smaller back size for my daughter for scouts, I decided to replace my 1980s backpack with one for myself. Having used it for a long hiking weekend and also for a family day hike carrying all the food, I'm very pleased. Well-sized with good pockets, main compartment access and off-back ventilation at a competitive price. Recommended.
Very much impressed by the attention to detail and quality of this pack. The materials feel sturdy, and everything from the placement of pockets to the way the top drawstring opens were well thought out. I took this for an overnight hike that was very wet and muddy. It was comfortable to carry and withstood the weather very well. It looks almost new after I just wiped off some of the mud with a damp cloth. My only quibble would be that the rain cover should be detachable. Also the small zip pocket gets in the way of the hydration sleeve. It was quite cool on my hike so I didn’t fully test the ventilation, but I didn’t notice it was particularly hot to carry.
I love this bag in so many ways: the adjustability, the water bladder pocket design etc. Initially I loved this bag but on it's 3rd use (1st hike with it) I found it extremely uncomfortable. There is a plastic piece inside the bag giving structure to the back that ended up rubbing against my lower back and there's a lack of padding in the middle of the back - this means that for teenage girls and women a hard part of the bag rubs against bra clips. I have many decathlon bags, all of which I love, except this one.
