(24,596 reviews)

Enjoy a more evened out skin tone with Clinique Even Better Makeup. This foundation offers a good level of coverage while also concealing discolouration. The SPF at factor 15 offers UV protection to help shield the skin from sun damage, preventing further uneven pigmentation from occurring in the future. Use this product consistently to protect the skin from the ageing effects of the sun. Designed for all skin types, including mature skin, this product will get to work on any hyper-pigmentation issues and leave you with a base that is even in colour. It will brighten the skin and leave you with a smooth and fresh canvas, which you can either leave bare or apply more make-up on to. The moderate coverage ensures that this foundation does not go on to heavy; avoiding that overly made-up look. This is sure to become your favourite foundation. Works best on combination skin. To use, apply to the facial area as part of your make-up routine. Apply with a sponge or your fingertips.

What I love the most about this is how it tackles unevenness WHILST I'm wearing it - making this not just a foundation but a 'Treatment foundation' if ever there was such a thing! It contains brightening ingredients such as Grapefruit extract, which is why when I wash this off, I swear my skin looks brighter than it did before I put it on! I stopped by at the Clinique counter to find the right match. The SA settled on two shades for me to trial: Oat and Honeywheat (neither of which were quite the right shade for me as I discovered later, settled on Cardamom). As a light, non-oily, everyday foundation it works really well, coverage was medium but buildable and without using a primer beforehand, only setting powder after, it stayed put from 8AM in the morning until ... MoreWhat I love the most about this is how it tackles unevenness WHILST I'm wearing it - making this not just a foundation but a 'Treatment foundation' if ever there was such a thing! As a light, non-oily, everyday foundation it works really well, coverage was medium but buildable and without using a primer beforehand, only setting powder after, it stayed put from 8AM in the morning until 5.30PM when I got in from work which is pretty good going. One of the downsides is that on oilier areas like my t-zone, especially on hotter days, it didn't last as long as it did on other areas, my pores becoming fairly visible after several hours, but that's an issue I find with many foundations, not just this one. Also the SPF 15 isn't quite as high as I'd like so I end up applying a sunblock separately before this. It's only the inclusion of sillicones that've prevented me from giving it a full 5 lippies, as I wouldn't be able to use everyday due to the breakout they cause me, otherwise a somewhat unique foundation that goes above and beyond just providing coverage.~ My Neiman Marcus Top 7 must-have list ~(My top 7 must-have beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Neiman Marcus)1. Great even on Cool undertones
19 January 2024

I hesitated purchasing this palette as the colours all seemed very warm and was worried they would look to orange on my fair, cool skin tone. But when the set went on sale I thought it might be a good way to try the bareminerals new line of blushers, bronzers and highlighting blushes. I was pleasantly surprised at how neutral all 3 products were and how they add life and glow back to my skin. I feel like I have my summer glow back in this season of winter :). The only thing I will say is that if your skin gets really pale in winter to try mixing a bit of your summer shade of foundation with your lighter winter shade to create a more harmonious sun-warmed effect. Very happy with this product so far.

Made me breakout after using it for 3 days
21 August 2024

I do not have oily prone skin. I wash my face every morning and night with the same gentle cleanser I've used for years. My forehead is actually the driest part of my face and I broke out with 6 new little zits after a few days. I had switched from Too Faced Born This Way tinted moisturizer because they discontinued it. (I had never broken out from that.) I wish I had tried a tester of this foundation first.Really disappointed, as I haven't gotten acne in several years but now I gotta let my 6 new pimples heal because of whatever they put in this. After doing some research I found I'm not the only one dealing with this. And it's sad because a lot of people think their skin is the problem. But in reality it's just something to do with this formula. Clinique is ... MoreI do not have oily prone skin. I wish I had tried a tester of this foundation first.Really disappointed, as I haven't gotten acne in several years but now I gotta let my 6 new pimples heal because of whatever they put in this. After doing some research I found I'm not the only one dealing with this. And it's sad because a lot of people think their skin is the problem. But in reality it's just something to do with this formula. Clinique is trying to have a comeback and with this formula it just isn't working for me.

Not just a foundation!
30 July 2024

What I love the most about this is how it tackles unevenness WHILST I'm wearing it - making this not just a foundation but a 'Treatment foundation' if ever there was such a thing! When I wash this off, I swear my skin looks brighter than it did before I put it on! As a light, non-oily, everyday foundation it works really well, coverage was medium but buildable and without using a primer beforehand, only setting powder after, it stayed put from 8AM in the morning until 5.30PM when I got in from work which is pretty good going. Nose gets a bit oily though!~ My Top 5 Beauty Must-Have list ~1. Hair Loss Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Hair Oil2. Shampoo: 'Sephora Collection' - Deep Cleaning Shampoo3. Face Mask: ‘Peter Thomas Roth’ – Pumpkin Enzyme Mask4. ... MoreWhat I love the most about this is how it tackles unevenness WHILST I'm wearing it - making this not just a foundation but a 'Treatment foundation' if ever there was such a thing! Only expensive makeup I can actually justify
9 July 2024

This was reccomended to me by an ulta employee with a clinique badge, so i figured she got commission or worked directly with clinique but im too nice to say no. Plus when she did a color match on my and i tested the formula, i found it was just what i was looking for for casual day to day makeup.Ive always had a vendetta against clinique due to animal testing (not sure if they still do it tbh) but i gave it a chance- a very expensive chance when i normally refuse to spend more than $15 on makeup.I love it though, its a perfect shade match, its blends nicely under or over cream blush and contour. Its slightly dewy but sits well under pressed and loose powder for more sheen control. It covers redness and isn't patchy over my acne. It really is worth the price, the only fancy product i use every day.4 stars because it does transfer very easily, and i do need to blot it throughout the day, i have everso slightly oily leaning skin and its pretty hot and humid. But if i get my fave close to ANYTHING it transfers over it it. If i touch my face while reading a book then the pages are covered in finger prints.

Perfect for me foundation
28 September 2024

I shopped Ulta for at least two hours last Saturday and tried pretty much every foundation available at my particular store. Key word "available" ...Including.. Nars, it, Tarte, Robane, Charlotte Tillbury, MAC,.BobbieBrown..and others i can't remember. My primary complaint about most of the products I tried was the SMELL...or, more specifically the Odor of the products. It's a similar kind of motor oil smell in many of the brands. Not pleasant... and actually kind of nauseating. Sorry. So, last but not least I ended up back at the Clinique area and tried this foundation. After I narrowed down the shade (there are many) and noticed the missing weird smell,..I discovered a nice, natural, buildable medium coverage and a luminous but not shiny finish. Also, the smallish squeeze bottle with the little tip dispenser makes for a very controllable delivery of product. Unlike what you get with a wand or worse, those squeezable tubes with the sponge! I hate those! Anyway I made my choice and my purchase and am very pleased. I would reccomend this product.

Perfect natural dewy finish for acne prone skin
30 August 2024

I have been using this foundation for over a year now and occasionally have tried others like lancome, fenty, covergirl, too faced, and neutrogena, and absolutely nothing compares to this foundation. It is the perfect natural finish coverage, with no patchiness. It allows your natural glow to shine through and leaves your skin looking very moisturized and healthy. It is soothing on my acne prone skin. It is buildable, from light to medium coverage, but always does a good job covering my acne without making it look crusty. I almost never use concealer. As someone with pale skin, it's hard to find a color match. Usually it either makes me look like a ghost, or it's too orange/peachy. The flax color is such a perfect match for me, and somehow blends with my skin when ... MoreI have been using this foundation for over a year now and occasionally have tried others like lancome, fenty, covergirl, too faced, and neutrogena, and absolutely nothing compares to this foundation. It is the perfect natural finish coverage, with no patchiness. not bad

this foundation is a good foundation however it was hard for me to find my shade and I noticed that it can be a little oily. overall the foundation isn't bad but it is pricy. I would recomend the juvias place I am magic radiance foundation over this because the shade range is better, easy to find match and seems to be somewhat of a dupe for this foundation with many skin care benefits and is a better price with more product. The only downside is that the product has cherries in it which is really good for the skin but you can smell it and may be strong for some people. But otherwise the foundation seems to be amazing and a better price point that this one. Sometimes I noticed with this foundation that it got so greasy that it would melt off my face shades were too orange tinted for me personally, messy, stains clothes, and doesnt dry very well. However if you have dry skin I can see this foundation working for you, I don't think it's bad but I think for the pricing you can do better with the juvias place I am magic radiance foundation.
