Ziwi Peak Mackerel Cat Food Can - 85 Grams

THIS is for canned chicken reviews . I didn’t get the review for chicken. I asked the customer service if they changed any ingredients . My cats used to love the chicken but somehow this order they’re eating it but throwing up after. First my 2 cats and now my 3rd one is throwing after eating chicken receipts. Something is strange. I won’t order again. Mackerel receipt is fine.

4 cats, they all prefer Ziwi Mackerel!

I have 4 cats (3 different breeds), and each one of them prefers this over other high-end canned foods, including Ziwi Chicken Recipe. I serve Ziwi Mackerel as a nightly treat. It has a clean, strong fishy smell which excites them. It is more dry than other wet foods, but if carefully carved out of the can, it can still be chopped into nice bite-size pieces that the cats enjoy (I took a small basic stainless steel kitchen knife and bent about 2cm of the tip nearly 90-degrees sideways, works great to carve only a portion off the top each night without disturbing the remainder in the can; using a lid, each can of food now stays fresh day after day until depleted).

First, I’d like to say that my feline companion has been licking her paws in delight after trying this food. The grain-free formula was exactly what I was looking for. Plus, it contains superfoods which, let's admit it, isn't just a trend for us humans anymore. It is the caviar of cat food! And the pièce de résistance? The mackerel flavor. Yes, it's safe to say this has been a hit in our purr-hold. Highly recommended!

An Ethical and Wholesome Choice for Cats

I recommend this product for your feline friends. Moisture-rich and not containing any growth promotants, it's an ethically sourced option that you can feel good about. However, there are some areas for improvement. The packaging design could use a bit of a refresh, and the chunky pate texture may not be to all cats' liking. Availability in stores is also a bit of a challenge. Despite these minor issues, it's a great food option for your cats.

Excellent quality food

No by product or meals. Has organ and bone for complete nutritional benefits! Two kittens I rescued were in bad health but now are beautiful and healthy. I have an older cat that prefers his natural nutrition from hunting so it not his first choice. I would suggest anyone with young cats starting this when young.

Great Choice for Feline Nutrition

The Mackerel & Lamb flavor cat food is high in protein and nutrients, promoting digestion, weight, heart, and brain health. It's air-dried to remove bacteria, contains quality New Zealand meats, and lacks cheap fillers. It's grain-free, low carb, and has a 10% superfood boost. However, easier to open cans, more flavor variety, sustainable sourcing, and detailed ingredients list would improve the product. Overall, it's satisfactory.

I was skeptical at first...but happy I tried it

I was skeptical to buy this because my cat does not like pate texture, which is basically what this is. However, I wanted to try it because the ingredients list looked solid and it was only 1 protein source, which I was hoping would help with my cat's allergies. My cat didn't go crazy over it, but she did eat it. I mixed it with water to make it into more of a paste and she seems to like that better. I give this as a treat twice a day and it helps keep her hydrated. I like the short ingredient list with none of the garbage that's put in most can food. I wish it were cheaper, but with high-quality ingredients comes a higher price tag, which I understand. It's supposedly really good for them to have that, so I'm okay with it, but my cat often leaves little bone pieces in her bowl so I don't think she really likes it. I will continue to buy this for my girl because of the high-quality ingredients. There's really no other alternative out there that is cheaper or better quality.

Impressed with Ethical Cat Food

This grain-free cat food is great for my cat's diet, with ethical and sustainable ingredients. However, improvements could be made. The can design is tricky to open and the price is a bit high. Less packaging would also be more eco-friendly. Despite these, we're still loyal customers.

Perfect bloodwork from the vet

My cat was really sick. Took her to the vet. She had bloodwork done which showed she had a UTI, ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. I gave her the medication and started her on Ziwi Peak. A month later I took our kitty back to the vet were her bloodwork was redone. The vet said he had never seen perfect bloodwork in a cat before.

I love this product for several reasons. It includes 10% healthy superfoods, is tasty and moisture-rich which my cat loves. The chunky-loaf texture and limited ingredient diet suits my cat's sensitive stomach. It's high in protein from real meat and suitable for all cat life stages & breeds. It uses ethical & sustainable ingredients and is great for both indoor & outdoor cats. Overall, it's an excellent product.
