This has really been a wonderful beginner guitar. Sounds amazing right out of the box. Once I pick it up to practice it’s hard to put it down. Sound is clean and I love the United blue personally. I would highly recommend this Pacifica 112V to any beginner or even intermediate guitar players. By far the best quality at that price point. Huge shoutout to American Music Supply for ALWATS having fast shipping and awesome payment plans. I’ve been able to buy instruments that I would normally never be able to afford with these awesome zero interests payment plans.I have been buying through AMS for years now and will for the rest of my life as long as I have these easy and convenient payments. Thanks AMS!!

I was hesitant when ordering the guitar, but after I received it worry washed away from a single glance. I'm not good at instruments, I never played anything than doing ukulele club when I was a kid so I didn't expect myself to buy a guitar. It's delicate and beautiful, feels great to hold and sounds just as good. I do not regret buying this guitar at all, in fact I'm greatful that I'm able to own it. I strive to become great at playing it, little by little . Thank you!

I purchased this but because of medical issues, I had to return it. Just want to note that anyone considering purchasing their first guitar would be foolish not to choose this over Squire and other guitars. It was flawless-- smooth neck, beautiful & sleek along every curve. The sound was amazing, strong and smooth... like a purr! And at that price, the extra $10-20 spent is well worth it. You get WAY MORE guitar than some other models I've seen. Once my hand & wrist heal entirely and I'm ready to get another guitar, this WILL-- without fail-- be the one I choose. Yamaha guitars and basses are seriously under-rated and under-valued... UNTIL she's in your hands. Then, it's like holding a lover's body.

The Guitar is very handsome and those of you who already made their resarch and watched some videos know that the Pacifica series is the absolute best choice for the beginners. I went for herd-mentality and combined this guitar with Boss Katana MkII 50 and beyerdynamic DT770 Pro. They work so well together and the guitar sound absolutely fantastic. I should also mention that I've bought the 112VMX two seperate times, and the latter one had slightly worse grain pattern (saying worse is kinda heavy though, not that bad really.). So it comes down to your luck and I recommend that, if you have the chance, go physically see the product before you buy it.
After buying the same guitar elsewhere, with horrible quality control, issues and no decent setup, I took the gamble and ordered one here. Teriffic guitar with no flaws. It seems Music Store took the time to properly set up the instrument. The pickups are on the bright side, but can be solved by lowering treble in output settings on a multi FX pedal. The humbucker sounds crispy and fat and with coil split the single coil sings and screams without too much noise. The 13,75 radius is a dream to play. Very fast. The only thing I needed (with all starts in my case) is put a replacement saddle spring very short one) on the low E string to get the 0.42 string intimate property. The fretboard is dark and advertised as rosewood. I have to clean my black fingers after every playing session. I believe that disappears after time. The basic tuners are good when stringing with locking method. The nut is cut extremely well. This is an excellent instrument for home use, beginners and intermediate players on a budget.I recommend!
Not my first guitar, but my first electric, and an absolutely brilliant one at that. Premium feel at a not-so-premium price - with one glaring flaw: the fret buzz. Could have been a set up issue on the end of PMT Cambridge (some great guys by the way) but low E, A and D have quite some fret buzz. This can be rectified with some setup, but please be advised as it seems others online have had issues with the Pacifica in this regard as well. Build quality is stellar, with great tone and ease of playing.
I have all three flavors of this guitar (natural, white, and sunburst). I have a VERY LARGE collection of guitars, and it is my opinion that this guitar sits at the top of low priced double hum guitars available today. They are light weight, with little to no fret overhang (finger rash), and since most of them are made in Indonesia, the workmanship is stunning. If you would rather have an HSS setup, go for the Yamaha PAC012DLX at an even lower price.
Good guitar for ALL musicians. As a collector of guitars, the first thing I look at (feel) is the fret work, as this can be the go/no go for ANY priced guitar. The Yamaha PAC012DLX (HSS) comes off as acceptable with Just a slight fret end clip feel with no fret sprout. As compared to the Ibanex GRX20 I got in a couple of days ago that has no fret sprout or clip feel, and did come as a surprise to me. The pickups are not quite as good as the Squire Affinity HSS Strat, but close. The body is MUCH nicer than the Affinity. The paint/finish is amazing. Tuners hold well. Neck is fast. I have never used a whammy bar, so cannot say anything on how well it stays in tune after a few dives. It will be very hard to beat the quality, and price on this PAC012DLX. Overall:After watching a million YT videos looking for an inexpensive strat style guitar, I finally settled on this one because of all the great reviews. My only complaint - and this is extremely nitpicky - is I had to lower the string height a little. Easy fix. Otherwise, this guitar is amazing. Fretwork is great. The ice blue finish is beautiful. It feels very comfortable. The neck is fast and smooth and was also perfectly straight out of the box. The tuners are decent, not great, but for the price of the guitar, they’re fantastic. The pickups sound great and the coil split feature is a very nice feature. The knobs feel smooth and have a decent amount of range. All in all, for $339 you’d be hard pressed to find a better strat style guitar.
I bought an older Yamaha Pacifica 012 at a swap meet, the guy had it hanging in his game room for 10 years on the wall. He was not even a guitar player. I paid $100 for it when I saw how worn the neck finish was in the back and how worn the frets were.. Worn frets all the way up the neck and a hand oil stained neck means, someone loved this guitar for years. You cant love a guitar that does not play and sound well. So I bought this very worn guitar. Took it home and took it apart went through it cleaned it, had to replace the input jack with a switch craft for under five dollars, had to clean the pots, because this guitar hung on the wall not in a case. The neck was straight, the intonation was right on, the tuners held it in tune, this guitar has a fast narrow neck. ... MoreI bought an older Yamaha Pacifica 012 at a swap meet, the guy had it hanging in his game room for 10 years on the wall. I ended up putting Wilkinson pick ups at the neck and in the middle but the bridge pick up was fine. Now it is one of my favorite guitars I did some research and found that a team of accomplished musicians and guitar builders got together to design the Yamaha Pacifica guitar for Yamaha. they did a great job. I like these guitars so much, that when another Yamaha Pacifica nearby came up for sale. I bought it also has a spare. Turns out it was played less than an hour. It was a Christmas gift to a child lost interest. Its perfect. I have had many Stratocaster s, telecasters, In my opinion, the Yamaha Pacifica is as good. Yamaha is the largest musical instrument manufacturer in the world. They dont make junk..I now have four Yamaha guitars.
