Yamaha NS-F51 Floorstanding Speakers
Introducing the Yamaha NS-F51 floor-standing speaker pair NS-F51 speakers feature a two-way, three-speaker configuration consisting of two 16cm (6-1/2”) cone woofers and one 3cm (1”) soft dome tweeter. They also take advantage of a 97cm (38-3/8”) tall, large-capacity cabinet to produce thrilling bass tones, and with a bracing system to suppress cabinet resonance they also produce clean treble tones. These two floor standing speakers are a perfect match for large screen TVs and home theatre and studio set-ups. The wooden circuit board in the network circuit demonstrates the commitment to sound quality. Not only for movies, but also for various other sources like CDs, MP3 and streaming music, letting you enjoy music with superior expressiveness. Low-diffraction rounded form The speaker cabinets are rounded to reduce the diffraction effects that cause murky sounds, so you can experience crystal-clear natural audio that you won’t get bored of no matter how long you listen. Luxurious front grille and upscale design Enjoy a sense of luxury with a front grille featuring slanted corners and a design that brings to mind Yamaha’s flagship speakers. And with the speaker cabinet also sporting a rounded shape, the unity of design will fit beautifully into your home theatre or studio space.

Good dynamics, at a reasonable price, no excessive bass, sufficient treble range. Made with a slight front elevation. They work wonderfully at the front of my home theater.

I bought these to replace my 30-year old Mission bookshelf speakers, as I now have a bigger lounge. My initial impression on taking them out of the box, is that they are well built with a nice finish. I already had good quality speaker cables terminating in banana plugs, so I didn't need to use the supplied cables. I opted to remove the grilles, as I like to see the exposed drivers! At first, I didn't like the sound much, but this was because they needed running in, which can take 20-30 hours. Now, 3 days later, they sound terrific! The bass is maybe a little heavy, but I can remedy this by turning down the bass control on my amp. Mid-range & treble are clear, without any shrillness. I have a vintage Rotel amp, which provides about 40W per channel onto these 6 Ohm ... MoreI bought these to replace my 30-year old Mission bookshelf speakers, as I now have a bigger lounge. These are good value speakers, and I thoroughly recommend them.

Good Points: Very good value for money.Good sound.Other speakers from the same range are also available.Improvement Points: They could look a bit better, they look quite plain without mesh. If they didn't have Yamaha logo then you could think it is the cheapest speaker on the market. The Cable is so thin that I couldn't even securely screw it into AV, had to buy 4mm.
What can i say, excellent set of speakers right out of the box, bass is top class mid range top notch, you don't even need to go high with the volume, will need to allow them to break in to there best sound over time music is back to real music now, my old speakers made me think that music is sounding dull? is it my cd player? NO, my amp? NO, my speakers YES! not now, i have Yamaha NSF51
