Cheesy, Smokey, is what it says . We were very excited to be offered this sample as we are BIG cheese fans in our house. We tried these Cheese Slices on Burgers as recommended on the packaging as it states this cheese ‘adds a Smokey flavour twist to your burger’. They definitely are an acquired taste. We enjoyed these for something different and appreciated the effort put in by Woolworths to create a different product which is affordable! There are 12 individually wrapped slices per packet and the packet costs $3. 70. That would get our family at least 2 - 3 Meals out of this packet making Burgers depending on the size of the Burgers, Buns & Fillings and or sides added so it is a very reasonably priced product. We enjoyed this product and will purchase again, however please be aware it will be one of those products that is very personal as to whether you like it or not, and there is a likelihood that not everyone in your family will, so be sure to have some spare ‘regular’ cheese on hand just in case Thanks for the opportunity to try Bunch, it was greatly appreciated!

Nice smokey flavour. I am not a fan of processed cheese and generally avoid it but sometimes buy it for my family as they like it on sandwiches. I did prefer this one to the plain one because the smokey flavour was quite nice. I had it in a toasted sandwich, with black olives and jalapenos and it actually tasted ok. . My kids didn't like the smokey flavour so I would probably continue buying the plain one occassionally for them, rather than this one. At $3. 70 it's fairly reasonably priced (although still a bit expensive in my opinion for processed cheese). I found it interesting that it's made in Australia from at least 25% Aussie ingredients - and there's 55% cheese so the cheese must be imported. Thanks Bunch for the sample :)

Yes, I will have some cheese. ❇️ suitable for vegetarians. A source of calcium ✳️ contains dairy and soy. No artificial colours or flavours ✴️ made in Australia, with 25% Australian ingredients This one was an inspired sample, after seeing multiple positive reviews. Easy to find amongst the cheeses, at $4 for 12 processed cheese slices. Had year expiration date. Unfortunately exterior packaging and individual films are to be binned. It would be great to see an alternative packaging or paper between slices perhaps. It comes with a 2. 5 star health rating. Each 25gram slice is the same size ad your everyday processed cheese and about the same thickness, in a uniform square shape. The colour is vibrant yellow. Nice soft texture, slightly creamy. Great taste, with a hint of a smokey aftertaste. Melting it down, it lost some of the smokiness, it comes through more prominently as a plain cheese slice. I enjoyed it, great price and I would consider purchasing again

Not much of a fan. Grew up eating plastic cheese so figured I'd give this a shot. Lets go;Packaging; there is just as much plastic as there is plastic cheese! Each slice wrapped individually and then wrapped again as a whole. I mean, we have to use paper straws and yet this product is about as obtuse as it gets in that department!Flavour; it is Smokey, just chemical smokey and a little unpleasant. That old school plastic cheese flavor is still there which is comforting. It contains at least 25% of Aussie ingredients (C'mon, surely we could get that up to at least 50%). One of those ingredients is Palm Oil. Anyone else remember seeing the ads about palm oil and orangutans?2 stars is about as far as I can go with this product. Melt very nicely on toast. I like to buy cheese slices to melt on toast etc and for that I tend to prefer the more processed type like Kraft Singles for example but they're actually really expensive at the moment if not on special. I do buy other types of sliced cheese including some of the Woolworths varieties. I have purchased these before but it hasn't been a regular buy. So I brought them recently because they seemed like great value for money compared to other offerings. And definitely a thumbs up, they melt really nicely when I put them on my buttered toast and microwave them for anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute. But for a processed cheese product I would buy this again compared to other similar offerings out there.

Surprisingly good! When we got this sample I was sceptical that we'd enjoy it. Surely it would taste like any other "plastic cheese"! But it actually tastes good. Husband actually loved it! He requested it on toasties, in his lunch, and last night had it on a homemade chicken burger. He pairs it with sweet chilli mayo. I've had it in the toastie, with shaved chicken and sweet chilli mayo, and it nice. The smokiness of the cheese pairs well with the bit of heat and tang from the sweet chilli. The texture is the same as your regular cheese slices. So the cheese melts nicely for toasties or on a burger. The vibrant orange colouring was a bit off putting for me, but husband explained it away as "that's just what all smoked cheeses look like. " It's not something I'd buy ... MoreSurprisingly good! Maybe, maybe not. I am going to start this review by stating that I didn't look at this cheese from the point of view as to whether I liked it or not, I knew I probably wouldn't. I am just not a "plastic cheese" person. However, it does have its uses in commercial fast food cooking and a lot of people do like it or don't even know it is "plastic cheese" when buying from their local fast food outlet. It also clearly mentions on the packaging "adds a smoky flavour twist to your burger" so probably not designed to do much else other than go on a burger. So I put it to the "Fakeaway" burger test. 2 main criteria; 1. did it melt relatively quickly and easily over the burger patty without needing additional heat (grilling, blowtorch etc) and without "disappearing" into a ... MoreMaybe, maybe not. That's where it ends for me. The issues are firstly Labelling - Made from only 25% Australian ingredients - with no mention of where the rest comes from; and secondly it is only 55% "cheese" the rest is "numbers", water and palm oil. So a highly processed, artificial product of dubious origins (do we not have "cheese" in Australia?) Not something I could recommend if you want to be healthy and sustainable, but OK on occasion if you genuinely want to recreate that "smokey" burger fakeaway taste at home. And it was reasonably priced with a long use by date (January 2024 - purchased in March 2023).

Great for making fakeaway McDonalds burgers! We tried this cheese whilst making fakeaway McDonalds double cheeseburgers. My sons said that these burgers tasted better then McDonalds. The cheese melted onto the meat patty and tasted delicious. It gave a nice light smokey taste (not overpowering) to a vegemite and cheese toasted sandwich. The size is a good size for on burgers or on bread. It was easy to find in the fridge section near the sliced cheese, as there are not many types of this colour cheese. The price point was ok, not great, the slices only come in a 12 pack, a 24 pack would be a lot more expensive than their regular processed cheese slices. Said the Cheese to the Hamburger... You complete me! ❤️. I have bought this product for quite a few years now. I’m almost thinking at least six or seven years. I may be wrong but I know I have been buying it for quite some time now. I think these are best suited to hamburgers. They’re a bit overpowering on your everyday sandwich as the smoke flavour swamps other flavours but they have the right flavour when they are melted on top of a meat patty. I usually buy them for that very reason. I only ended up with one slice out of this packet as my ex ended up, eating the whole entire lot on his own. God knows why, but knowing him, if something is there, he’ll just eat it and continue to eat it, regardless of whether he really wanted it or not. ‍♀️I haven’t bought these ... MoreSaid the Cheese to the Hamburger... I was happy to oblige this Sample though, as I knew it wouldn’t burn holes in the bottom of my fridge! If you are not a fan of processed cheese, this would not be one for you, but it makes a good change from Kraft singles. I think they are reasonably priced and there is a good amount in the packet and I always seem to be available in the supermarket whenever I want them. Not too happy with the amount of plastic that was involved or with some of the ingredients, and the health star rating, but you don't buy these to be healthy! These are a sometimes treat and on that account that’s okay. I probably might buy these again I’m not 100% sure when but I definitely will so I have got no problems with recommending them to everybody else. I wouldn’t say that they’re absolutely amazing, but I wouldn’t say they’re average either. I just say try them and see what you think!
