Smooth coffee. Thank you for this sample. A great way for my husband to try a product we haven't bought before. At $3. 80 for 10 capsules, it comes with a very good price. Intensity 12, so quite strong. Nespresso machine compatible. Rainforest Alliance certificate. I find the design of the packaging not so interesting, too geometrical for my taste, I would have prefer a more fluid design, and with more colours too. I am impressed by the recycling instructions!Till now I've been recycling our coffee capsules through the TerraCycle program, what is very convenient of course, but also uses quite some resources, as TerraCycle sends you the free label, you print it, and then the box with all the used capsules has to travel across Australia to reach the recycling station. ... MoreSmooth coffee. With these Woolworths capsules, you peel back the foil lidding, remove the coffee ground (compost it if possible) then you rinse the capsule with the attached lidding, and place it in your recycling bin. So easy. I love that! The product is made in Australia from imported ingredients. The box is easy to open and re-close using the cardboard tag. You can store your capsules there or elsewhere, like I do. Less than one year expiry date. My husband found the coffee a good alternative to big brand coffees. It is a smooth coffee with good taste, even if a little bland. Not his favourite coffee though, and as he's the only one in the house drinking coffee, I don't see myself buying it again.

FANTASTICALLY PRICED COFFEE CAPSULES! If you are not too fussed about the strength and taste of your coffee, these really well priced coffee capsules (at $3. 80 for a box of 10) are an alternative to the double the price and more, Nespresso ones, which are for your Nespresso machine as well. The pack says intensity of 8, I do not think it is anywhere near an 8, perhaps a 6 at best. I have also tried the Decaf ones in this range. This "Medium" 100% Arabica ones are much more full bodied and better tasting than the Decaf ones. Would love to also try and see how the "Strong" and "Intense" ones are, just to compare as at such a good price.

Better than the price point indicates. I am not a coffee snob, I just know what I like. At $. 38 per pod, I was looking forward to trying this Sample, given that I currently use a big name brand at double the price. I made it exactly the way I do with the Nespresso brand ie cappuccino size, run the pod twice. I found it a bit weak but the flavour was good. I would have to use two pods per cup thus taking it back up to what I am currently paying. But if you’re not overly fussy about your coffee, this is a good coffee at a very reasonable price. I have paid fifty and sixty cents per pod for some well known brands that were not as good as this one.

Not my cup of tea...... or coffee. Good points:Woolies must know I like coffee as this is my third sample. I am not usually a brand snob but when it comes to coffee I certainly am as I like strong flavour and a lovely crema. So unfortunately, these coffee pods did not really appeal to me. * I liked the packaging design *Rainforest Alliance approved and Fairtrade. * very good price .... at least $2 cheaper than my favourite pods when they are on sale. * box and capsules recyclable *Nespresso compatible so they fit in my machine *Roasted in Australia (but from imported ingredients)Negative points:* taste was like a bland instant coffee taste.... yes I know they were an 8 intensity but I am used to drinking an 11 intensity. Waste not want not......... my husband has 2 pods of coffee in a mug so I used one normal and one of the intensity He said it was OK.
Great for a Flat White! I was so excited to try this product, I went to Woolworths to get my sample immediately. This one went through the Nespresso machine without a hitch. A lot of compatible pods tend to struggle in the Nespresso machine, extracting a ristretto portion rather than an espresso portion, this one, no problem with extraction. Full expresso!Aroma during extraction was quite good, most intense pods tend to smell burnt, this one doesn't. First sip as an espresso, no burnt taste, good strong roast, good flavour. Final test, with frothed milk.... very good! The milk compliments this pod and mellows it down to provide a nice flat white, better than what some cafes serve. At $3. 80 for a sleeve of 10 pods, fantastic value for money. Will definitely buy this ... MoreGreat for a Flat White! A welcome change. This one was a real treat. I've seen them before in the shop and often wondered what they might be like to try. It's a dark coffee and has a rating of 12 so it may not be not ideal for those that prefer a less intense flavour. The coffee was quite strong but smooth and wasn't bitter at all. It's also compatible with my Nespresso machine which was great. With a dash of warm milk from my milk frother and a piece of jam toast this was really nice. It's a good price too. For those that like an strong early morning coffee kick, I would recommend this product.
Very good. Hubby is a coffee lover so he tried this sample. Great price ($3. 80) for 10 capsules, pure arabica coffee which is excellent as quite a few of the other brands have a blend of Robusta with arabica which makes it taste bitter. Nice there are different strengths available so I will now purchase the others to see which he prefers. Only criticism is he'd prefer compostable pods - Coles ones are - hence the loss of a star. Overall, though, a great product and we'll be making these a regular purchase.
Below average brew. Disappointed! Unlike the decaf version, which had a half-decent flavour profile, this turned out to have not much flavour or boldness. Just to be sure I had another cup and it had the same watery, tasteless, dirty profile that reminded me of pot coffee served in an American diner that is typical of medium intensity capsules, although some capsules have better flavour. This one unfortunately is lacking on all fronts, quite unlike the accompanying description. (Tested on a Delonghi Nespresso machine as ristretto 25ml and espresso 40ml).
A Decent Drop. I have a ‘George Clooney’ machine and have tried a lot of these ‘non brand name’ capsules over many years. My preferred drink is either a long or short black and sometimes the capsules need to be mixed to make them palatable! This coffee was intense (12) but I found it really smooth. The capsules worked well with the machine - they didn’t stick, tear and leave coffee grounds as some other brands have done. The coffee is roasted in Australia, it’s Rainforest Alliance certified (which has an environmental and community focus) and the price point is less than half that of the name brand at $3. 80 for 10 capsules. Recyclable box and capsules, I genuinely can’t fault it. I’ll definitely be adding these into my coffee capsule rotation!
Coffee great, pods need work. I give 5 stars for the coffee, it's really strong and good flavour and really nice, good value. But I probably only give 3 stars for the pods, they're not tight packed enough maybe? My Nespresso machine struggled with them, the coffee came through at a very slow drip, building up too much pressure in the machine. This is my 2nd machine; as I previously wrecked the other one using non Nespresso pods. So I'd buy again for the coffee, but would wait until the pods perform better in the machine.
