The ball is exactly as described, a genuine Wilson Evolution. The gold standard for indoor use.\nThe customization was perfect. I would say that if you choose maroon as a color it may appear purple against the orange background of the actual ball. Not a problem for me, just a head's up! I purchased one before this one and gold lettering really pops, looks gold and actually matches the gold trim on the Wilson letters! The picture above is my Wilson evolution basketball. I have had it for about 4 years and it is wonderful. My basketball is pretty beaten up however it’s been used indoor as well as outdoor courts and still is fully functional. Great grip and a good quality ball. It’s not heavy nor is it extremely light. It is very durable. I recommend buying this basketball as it will last you a long time and will guarantee you the overall best experience. The only ball that I would say can compete is a Baden basketball.

This basketball also doesn’t pick up the dust on the court like some others would, so it maintains the great grip and doesn’t wear down. The Wilson Evolution has one of the best and most consistent bounces on any ball I have ever tried. The ball was put through extreme tests to make sure the ball was perfect and had a consistent bounce and maintained good inflation before getting put on the market for sale. This ball has been approved by the NCAA and is the most used ball by high school athletes. This ball has also recently become the ball they use in the NBA.The Wilson Evolution basketball will make basketball way more enjoyable for you and the people you are playing around. It will also enhance your performance on the court with all the features that it has, this ball every year comes out with new and improved versions to stay at the top of list for the basketballs there are. Great grip

The Wilson Evolution is the best basketball to play with compared to any other brand of basketballs. The first reason is the great grip of the ball. The reason the grip of the Wilson Evolution is exceptional is the ball being developed with a microfiber composite leather cover. The ball has laid-in channels that enhance the gripability. Another reason is the ball being able to keep inflation for a long time period. Wilson has proved that their basketballs are the best at losing no inflation over time. This is true because I have noticed the ball never needs to be re-pumped and is still the perfect amount of bounce. Critics may say other brands like NCAA are better balls for indoor use ; however, The Wilson Evolution is best designed for being used indoors.

Poor quality control

I purchased this after reading other reviews. I was hoping the valve protrusion wouldn't be an issue, but it appears I was one of the unlucky "few" to receive. I will be returning the ball as it impacts play and not sure if I'll try my luck again. Customer response was not customer friendly at first and basically told me it didn't impact play. My ball also doesn't qualify for warranty as this issue doesn't meet their defect requirements. Pretty low standards and unsure why they wouldn't address these issues during quality control. It is annoying that I have to take the time to address with them and return. 2 star as I believe the quality would be fine except for the value issue and that I can return it at least.

Son loved it, best basketball owned!!!

Ordered basketball early December an did not receive it tell a month later. Understandable, holiday season expect delays. When I received basketball package was surprised that a little basketball backpack was included. That was awesome an unexpected. Basketball is really nice an the custom work was good. Only issue is the custom work was suppose to have my sons name which it did an again looks good. But also in the middle of the custom area have my sons number that I picked an put on when ordering but was not included. My son was fine with it so am I I guess. My only thing to some this is a small deal and it is. But when ordering something like this an I paid for it. It would be nice to have it right. All in all still pleased with purchase.

Switched To Evo Nxt & Solution For Grip

Everyone loves this ball as it's everywhere. It's skin allows for some of my off shots to squeak through as it can get slippery. The skin on an Evo Nxt or Solution allows my average size hands to palm and extend, protecting from defenders. With that said, as a one on one connoisseur I choose the control over the "perceived" levity on off shots. The grippier balls seem to rim out more... but that applies to my opponents as well. I'll say that Evolutions are well constructed and optimally weighted overall. I'll say that as a slightly less expensive ball, with equal balance and optimal panel construction... The Baden Elite is a good option too. I can't say that I think it's better... just another option in a gym where most often the facility is full of Evo's and ... MoreEveryone loves this ball as it's everywhere. The bear ball out there

Been wanting one of these for over a decade. Every time I would need a new ball, my wife would buy one for me. Even with very specific directions, she kept getting me the wrong one. One time she even got a different brand because "it looked just the same but was cheaper." I finally told her to not try anymore and I picked it up for myself.When looking online, supply was pretty limited. The only ones I could find in stock anywhere were the green and blue ones. I wasn't very excited about getting a colored one, but decided to just go for it rather than waiting to see if the normal ones came back in stock. I picked up the green one and freaking love it! Valve Stem Protrusion

I bought this a few months back and immediately noticed the protrusion on the valve stem placement. I didn't think much of it and felt the ball bounce strangely, not so much that it ruined the play, but definitely noticeable to most. I thought maybe it just needed to be broken in and would be fine after that. It's been months and countless hours played and I still feel the inconsistencies. I tried filling a warranty request and didn't get much help from the rep either. Hope they can fix the quality of balls especially considering the price!

This ball is loved for its soft touch and smoothness. The channels are easily findable making shots simple and thoughtless. Bounce in the ball lasts forever and so does the quality for the most part if USED ONLY INDOORS. Parents if your child is serious about basketball and say they want this ball ignore the price and get it for them. This will be the ball they play with in middle and high school for games practice open gyms everything. If taken care of you won’t need to buy but two their whole school careers. I will say for players or anyone who’s touched this ball or used it I will say the now NCAA official gameball the Evo Nxt which is the latest version of this ball is somehow even better then a near perfect ball. This ball isn’t the most grippy it gets slick and smooth the newer version somehow keeps the soft touch of the evolution while add a not tacky sticky feel but a soft grip that gets better as the ball gets wet from sweat. Also the ball is notably lighter then the well weighted evolution but slot of people love that if this ball. Either way this ball should be bought by all players if taking the sport seriously or just want the what I feel to be the best INDOOR BALL their are other great options but they are all the same price point of this and this one is just iPhone of basketballs if that makes sense.
