I haven't bought this for some time although it was my favourite (and note reviews on here not current). I actually had to throw it in the bin, because it tasted like a bad peanut does. Then I noticed "Absolutely no added sugar" - but it needs a bit of sugar: it's gone too far. This was my favourite brand before, because it wasn't as sugared as many other brands.

This peanut butter is very tasty. If you don't like to much salt you should be okay with this As you can hardly taste it & you can#t taste the palm oil which is a plus. The amount of pajm oil & salt it does contain is so small you would have to eat millions of jars of it to do you any harm. It has a good shelf life & once opened keeps fresh in the food cupboard just remember to screw the lid on properly. It spreads great on toast & if you take it easy spreads on just bread but go slow. I would recommend this item .

I spend a lot of time stirring natural oils back into nut butters. Not with this one, its solid snd therefore rips up my bread.Unlike half the reviewers I actually paid for mine...Probably wont be repeating that again.

This is not good enough for me to buy again especially because it contains palm oil. I'm sorry but no palm oil is sustainable. It just means the acereage has already been taken from the enviornment and wildlife. Anyway...this is thick and dark roasted, but if you're interested in one without palm oil I'd suggest the Meridian brand, it might be a little bit wetter as this is quite thick, but the flavour of the dark roast comes through better. All in all despite the palm oil. It was surprisingly unremarkable. I couldn't taste much difference. And I have tried most all peanut butters here on ocado.
The labelling on this made it look healthy, so I bought it instead of my usual brand. When I opened it, there was a layer of oil on the top. I poured that away! I spread some of the peanut butter on toast, and it was greasy and bland. Horrible. I won't but it again.
As Tina Turner would say... "This peanut butter is simply the best! Better than allllllll the rest, better than any one. Any one I've ever met." *winks*( peanut butter song and pun there for you, but it's true ) I bought this peanut butter based on the fact of the pure and simple ingredients inside, and no sugar added. Now, I'm hooked!! I will never eat, nor buy the other processsed, sugar filled peanut butter again! This is even good enough to eat right out of the jar with a spoon! Aka, "the peanut butter spoon!" You're never too old for that! Yum! I also like the fact that the jar is glass, and is virtually clean after getting every last bit of peanut butter out. Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I eat a lot of peanut butter, and this has certainly been a welcome addition to the cupboard. The consistency is thicker than the usual standard varieties. Theres plenty of crunch and an all round more natural flavour profile. Its really nutty, not to state the obvious. I wouldnt be inclined to compare it with the classic style and consider this more of a purist relative. Tried and enjoyed on fresh sliced bread and toast. It does take a little more effort to spread but that is no tall order. Ill keep a jar in the cupboard going forwards.
To begin with, I should mention I was given a jar of this peanut butter to review from Ocado. I am quite certain I have tried other Whole Earth products in the past, and have always been impressed by the minimal ingredients used. The same can be said for this peanut butter - with only 3 ingredients on the label, and no additional sugars, it is a plus in my book. It has a rich natural nutty taste and large chunks of peanuts, generous enough without going crazy. The texture is great without too much additional stirring, as is usual with natural peanut butter. I really enjoyed everything about it! If there is one negative, (and this is why I gave it 4 out of 5) I'm not really a fan of palm oil. Please note is sustainable in this product, which is important. But if you ... MoreTo begin with, I should mention I was given a jar of this peanut butter to review from Ocado. I don't know whether salt has been added simply because salt is added to just about everything or because Whole Earth had a surplus and didn't know what to do with it, but there's really no need for salt to be added to peanut butter. And it's not that it's a small amount either at 1% by weight. I'll try their organic version (no added salt). Otherwise I'll be sticking to Meridian.
First time iv'e tried this & it's so tasty. not sweet but not bitter either. It spreads easy on toast but not so easy on just bread but if you take it easy it can be done. You can't taste the drop of oil they put in' & has only a hint of salt a taste. so if you don't like salt you should be okay with this. i'm going to try this brand made with only 100% nuts. it's a big jar & you can pop it in the store cupboard & it doesn't go off. just check the use by date.
