After producing their first batches of ready-to-eat breakfast cereal to varying success, it wasn't until thirty years later in 1928 when Sanitarium began selling a new high-fibre and low-sugar breakfast cereal: Weet-Bix. These days, Weet-Bix is a household name and is seen as a quintessential Australian food. Over the years they have sponsored AFL, cricket, soccer and rugby union teams and the cereal is now sold in several countries overseas including New Zealand and South Africa.
