Besides having an obscene amount of dental work that makes it a chore to floss, I have very small spaces in-between my teeth, and normal floss is either too big, or gets shredded. My dentist has suggested the Waterpik, but due to price and counterspace, Iāve always avoided looking into it.I wish I had the opportunity to get this sooner!Since it was on sale, I was finally encouraged to purchase this, and from a month of daily use I can attest to much cleaner teeth. The water flushes out food residue quite effectively, and I find thereās not as much plaque buildup since it washes most of it away. If anything, it encourages me to thoroughly clean, as opposed to just not flossing since itās so difficult and sometimes painful.I was concerned with itās countertop ...Ā MoreBesides having an obscene amount of dental work that makes it a chore to floss, I have very small spaces in-between my teeth, and normal floss is either too big, or gets shredded. If anything, it encourages me to thoroughly clean, as opposed to just not flossing since itās so difficult and sometimes painful.I was concerned with itās countertop footprint, and itās surprisingly smallāit takes a little more space than a large bottle of mouthwash. Itās also aesthetically pleasing, and the functional designāalthough simple, is very efficient, and in a way, makes itās use less complicatedāIād like more storage room however, for extra tips. I also like how you can choose the pressure level, although I try to stick around level 2 - 6 since I find my gums are delicate. Removing the tips are really easy too, and are well-made. The range of tips it comes with is awesome, although I wish it came with another PikPocket or tongue scraper instead of an orthodontic tip since not everyone has braces. It is a bit loud though, but youāre using it for 5 minutes at most so itās bearable. It looks overwhelming at first, but once you get it, itās very easy to operateājust follow the beginnersā instructions. And itās also a little messy at first when using, but make sure to stay close to the sink to let the water drain out of your mouth.Another attribute I enjoy is how easy maintenance is: itās only necessary to do a deep clean every 1 - 3 months! (although Iād aim for 1 month because of the way it uses water). I wish my humidifier where that low maintenance! All it takes is vinegar and water. I suggest watching the instructional video they have on YouTube to clarify the process. To maintain a unit like this every month means itās designed quite well in that regard. In all, I had no idea how much Iād end up loving how this Waterpik enhances my dental care routine. I just hope they make the price for tips more cost effective for maintenance. Otherwise, Iām quite pleased!

I was hesitant to purchase this product when I first saw it. The product in general was suggested by my hygenist. She did not specify which product to purchase but just gave me a general ideal. I saw this product and went with it. I am glad I did. The fact that I can adjust the strength of the water stream is a big plus. The adjustable water stream strength was one of my requirements and it paid off on this product. I highly recommend this product. I prefer the water pik over the traditional string floss.

I love this waterpik. Just recently, I have had two permanent implant crowns placed by my dentist. He suggested using a water flosser. I have used the plaque seeker as well as the Classic Jet Tip to remove food between my regular teeth as well as the implanted crowns. The Orthodontic Tip can be used for braces as well as general use. I have used this tip in a general way. I fill the waterpik tank with water and run this tip along the base of my teeth. I feel I am cleaning my teeth along the gumline.Although the waterpik is meant for the bathroom, I have placed this waterpik waterflosser on my kitchen counter. I resisted getting a WaterPik due to the "mess" everyone complains about. I watched several videos, took my time and learned the technique. After one week, it was easy and not a big deal. I use the WaterPik twice a day. I really like the on/off switch on the handle itself. I don't like water dripping out of my mouth and running all over the place so I do one section with my lips closed, stop, spit out the water and continue. You have to figure out what works for you. I hope my dental hygienist sees results. My teeth feel better but there is no instant gratification. Also, I like just about 1 ounce of mouth wash in the water.
After about 30 days of consistent use, Iāve fallen in love with āflossingā my teeth again! The thoroughness of getting all of the food particles out from in between my teeth, and the health of my gums have improved 10 fold.Iāve seen a noticeable improvement and actually look forward to this evening ritual again. When I actually flossed my teeth with string, my gums would periodically bleed and I never felt I was getting all of the particles out, but now, itās different.I still use a quick brush of my teeth with toothpaste to loosen anything, then I run the WaterPik (takes 90 seconds) and I couldnāt be happier with the results. So glad I found and purchased this product. I purchased the blue version of the WP-660 to replace the battery powered travel version I purchased as a ātrial,ā as I wasnāt sure I would use it daily. This version is definitely an upgrade. Besides the obvious advantage of not replacing batteries every week and filling the tank only once, the wand is significantly easier to handle, and Iām taking less time to waterfloss overall. The water stream is also much more even than the travel version. Overall happy with my purchase!Feature comments: I love the on/off feature of the stream on the wand; I use it when changing āquadrantsā in my mouth so thereās much less of a chance of wayward splashing. The 2x 30sec timer is lost on me; I must waterfloss too slowly. I bought this at recommendation of my dentist. I have two bridges and top bridge is tight and difficult for me to get flossing guide in. Using the water pik is so easy and it really flushes out area. I use it a couple times a day. I am 65 and have limited dexterity in my hands. I would recommend this item to anyone. I did not do any research other than read customer reviews. I did do some comparisons of different models and other brands of similar . This model just fit my purpose and price range and I preferred to get the Waterpik brand .
So far, I am impressed with how well the wp660 cleans my teeth. I am using both the standard and crown tips on alternate days. I'm leaning toward the crown tip as it seems easier to position. The main unit is working fine. The tip handle on/off button is a little awkward to use however I am hoping I will get used to it. Overall so far this is a great product and well worth the money. This unit was recommended by my dental hygienist and I hope to hear a positive report on my dental health at my next visit.
This is a good alternative to floss, especially if your teeth have rough fillings that catch on the floss, or if you can't floss at all due to having traditional braces. That said, there is a design issue with these that will cause the product to eventually fail.I used this for a few years with no issues, long enough to replace the hose assembly after the original hose became too brittle and broke off (another issue you'll run into - fortunately WaterPik sells replacement hose assemblies). About a year or so in, the unit would sometimes leak if any water was left in the tank, so I made sure to leave it empty when I was done. Over the last few months up to now, the pressure slowly declined. About a year or so in, the unit would sometimes leak if any water was left in the tank, so I made sure to leave it empty when I was done. Over the last few months up to now, the pressure slowly declined. Eventually, the unit would shut off on its own during use, and now it won't turn on at all.Suspecting an issue with the motor, I disassembled the unit and confirmed my suspicion. Over time, the rubber gaskets on the pump assembly inlet and the gearbox will harden and stop doing their jobs as effectively, and whatever lubricant the piston may have had will degrade. Between these factors, water will eventually start to get into the gearbox, and from there, the motor. In my case, the end of the motor exposed to the gearbox is very rusty, and the shaft is hard to turn - naturally, this is why it no longer functions. Some rusty brown water was pooled in the bottom of the gearbox. The electronics look pristine, so it feels like a waste to throw it out - but I can't find the exact motor for direct sale from any vendor I can trust, so this is where this unit's story ends. All in all, it's a good value, but there's a reason the WP-660 is relatively inexpensive for what it is; don't expect it to outlast the warranty by much. If you get one of these and notice a drop in pressure before the warranty runs out, contact support immediately. Don't ignore it as I did, or you'll have to go back to actual floss for a while.
I have owned a water pik for a long time maybe because my brother was a dentist and he highly suggested for me to use one. Now over 20 years later I swear that since using my Waterpik I have had the best dental visits. This Waterpik comes with plenty of attachments but I usually stay with about 2 main attachments. What I started doing from the very beginning was give my gums the same amount of time as my teeth. The fact that this Waterpik has a pause feature reminds me to move to another location. I also put a cap full of mouthwash into the well. By the way, my semi annual visit with my dentist again had no decay.
