I used only this dark sugar for my Christmas fruit cake and color of my cake turned out to be perfect even without molasses or dark treacle.
One of my big bugbears is dreadful sugar packaging and I avoid certain brands as a result. The packaging on this product opens easily and doesn’t split. The sugar is excellent. Thank you Waitrose.
I use it in homemade milk tea, coffee, hot ginger drinks, and it works fine in all sorts of porridge as well. Really special flavor, irreplaceable!

We don't use much sugar but this one has a wonderful taste of molasses enabling me to use less in recipes. It is rather compacted so you need a spoon to get it out of the packet, instead of pouring it.
