This is by far the best space heater Iâve owned when it comes to consistently heating a closed room. While it doesnât put out extremely hot air it successfully distributes it through the whole room and actually keeps the room at the set temperature. I own two of these and have had the first one for over 5 years with minimal issues. The only downside is the LED display for temperature can be very bright in a dark room. 10 out of 10 space heater

I have to admit that the first two Vornado heater units I purchased were not very good. This unit, though, is VERY GOOD. I love the quality, all-metal build. It's also very quiet on the low heat settings, and sounds soft and pleasant on the high heat option. Yes, the remote could be of higher quality, and can be a bit fickle in terms of function, but it works well enough. I hope this baby lasts a long time, because it's a great addition to my office. I'm a big fan of high quality items, and will typically pay more for something that is well built and will last. I hope this unit doesn't disappoint. So far so good!

I bought this heater based upon Consumer Reports recommendation for the 600 series but I couldnât find the 600. The only difference between the 500 and 600 is the casing[check out Vornado web page]. I use it to warm up a weak insulated moderate-sized north-facing bathroom. I love the safety features and the temp adjustments. I have it placed upon a small table. I have h clocked a 10 degree temp rise in about 20 minutes. The remote control must be in Eyesight of the heaterânot too practical for a bathroom, but would be great for a bedroom, or 10x15 room
This is now heater number 7 so one out of 7 heater worked from this company. Out of the box they do not work. 500 model fan blades come packed loose so they back noise if they put lock tight on the nut this would never happen,I started with two oscillating tower heaters they all made fan noise as well and clicking noise when oscillating they have no clue why this happens five of them all did the samething out of the box maybe 3days max one lasted without noise then they upgraded me to two of the 500 models one had no noise other was the loose fan problem I found out later so they upgraded the one 500 to a 600 the 600 has a transformer/power supply hum when heat is on low or hight I just give up at this point. I seen on Amazon the 600 heater has the same loose fan problem as the 500 model but it hums to. Guys you need to check and test all heaters before they leave to customers and to have one heater with no problems out of 7 it's ridiculous. You have a 5year warranty and right out of the gate your heater products can't make 3days Max's? When the heaters work there great but they need to work first. Problem is not design I think it's where you are having this units put together and no one checking them when they leave like come on fans coming loose or not tight like really? Omg lock tight it's been out for years there is blue and red pick one. Customer service is amazing I can't say nothing there everyone is very nice and try there best to help but when a product is not working over and over there nothing they can do unfortunately. Thank you for trying I just not going to buy any heaters from you for a long time after this. Air purifier sure there great.
I had high hope for this product after reading some reviews and the technical specs.However, after unboxing and using the product for a few hours, I was evidently disappointed with its performance. The fan seems weak (small fan and small rotary motor) which renders it incapable of generating enough torque to blow the air out with sufficient strength. Therefore, the fan cooling function is relatively weak and the heating function is similarly weak as it cannot force sufficient heat into the room. The design is sleek, modern and attractive but this unit is just too small and lacks sufficient power to perform adequately. Overall, a big disappointment for a product that costs 2-3 times more than similar products (often with better output performance).
On really cold nights my wife is always cold in our bedroom because it is the furthest point from the heater and along a north wall. I have owned a basic fan from Vornado for years, it is small, but mighty. Perfect floor workout room fan. Went to thier website looking for a âspace heaterâ without the large heating element and a thermostat so it would shut itself off. This unit is awesome, white color is stylist and not an eyesore with dĂ©cor, cool to the touch, and even has a remote. It also truly heats up a room and maintains the temperature, as described. Highly recommend. This is the second review I have ever written. I read them all the time, felt like it was time for me to start sharing as well.
I'm very happy with it. I use it in my work-from-home office, which is not well suited to a split system heat pump due to the physical layout and position. I estimate the Vornado heater uses about half the power of my old fan heater due to effective thermostat control. It's also quieter. It's expensive, but for me it's worth it.
Surprisingly, I feel this actually does help circulate the air in the room to help it feel warmer. i have an older long narrow house and use it to blow through multiple rooms and it definitely helps. the thermostat will kick it on and off throughout the day to maintain temperature. I have 2 of these, oldest one from 2019. Both have malfunctions.One would loose power, and intermittently respond to the power button. Took it apart and found the tip over switch had a blackened connector. I measured it with a multi meter to find it had failed open. There aren't any exact replacements available online, so I ordered a standard switch (16A 125VAC, KW3AT-16, Normally Closed). This replacement doesn't have the plunger actuator.The second unit doesn't control the fan speed or heater properly. It runs the fan at low speed, making a humming sound from the motor and the heater goes into shutdown (display on, no fan even on the fan setting). I haven't taken it apart yet.
